About this property

Property has a comfortable living room that’s open to kitchen with lots of bar seating & an adjacent dining room. The kitchen is great for cooking & can seat a group comfortably. It has a Laundry room. And two nice sized bedrooms. It’s a few blocks from French quarter and across the street from Armstrong Park. The house comes with a Nintendo switch & lots of board games. It has one off street parking spot. Great place for a couple with children or a group of friends looking to bunk up in one bedroom to save costs. There are a ton of great restaurants nearby & things to do!

I selected this property because of the 5.0 rating. After booking I inadvertently found the owner David other listing on VRBO property no.9372323, had I seen this listing I would not have booked here, its a double home same address different listing. I was concerned about the reviews and reached out to David and was assured it would be okay... it was not - The refrigerator was dirty, large hole in the living room wall, no where to put our clothes as the drawers and closet are full of clothes and just stuff toys, picture albums, purses, etc. Waterleak from light fixture in the ceiling. Towel closet is a bunch of old mix match towels to use, random uncovered toothbrushes in the bathroom drawer. It was disgusting and bazaar. I message David regarding the leak and much later he responded " Water from the ceiling? Did y'all flood the bathroom?" There was no I'm sorry this happened on your trip he was very accusatory. We left the 1st night and contacted VRBO. I wish I could attach pictures but can't. I would say use caution if considering this property. I don't know how he got the rating but it is not 5 stars and there is no cleaning lady. I hope this will help another guest. The owner needs to stop being dishonest just fix the issues on your property ( hole in wall, landscape the back yard, fix the leaks invest in a cleaning crew and purchase quality towels, sheets and comforters etc. Move all the stuff in those closets and drawers into storage).

Recently remodeled

Had everything we needed. Owner managed property (not corporate), which is a big bonus for me. Backyard has not been landscaped yet, which would be a great addition to the property, but the house itself is awesome. David was very helpful, allowing us to drop bags early and giving local recommendations. Treme coffee house is just a block away in this great little neighborhood. Walk or a short ride-share anywhere from here. Great experience!
