Security Deposit Advisory

To ensure a safe and comfortable stay for all guests, we place a fully refundable security deposit hold on the credit card used for your reservation. This is not a charge—it is a temporary pre-authorization hold that simply reserves the amount on your card during your stay.

Deposit Hold Amounts

* Homes with a hot tub: $500 hold
* Homes without a hot tub: $250 hold
* Rooms in our boutique hotels: $100 hold

How the Deposit Hold Works

We use a secure system through our booking platform that pre-authorizes the deposit rather than collecting it upfront, helping keep costs lower for guests.

* 24 hours before check-in: A temporary hold is placed on your credit card for the applicable deposit amount.
* During your stay: The system may automatically re-authorize the hold before it expires to ensure the deposit remains active for the entire booking period.
* After check-out: We have up to 48 hours to inspect the property. If no damages or policy violations are found, the hold is released automatically.

Because this is only a hold, no funds are actually charged unless there is damage or an issue that requires a claim. Once released, your bank typically removes the hold within a few business days, depending on their processing times.
