Chalet on the Green

Spacious chalet located on the fourth hole green of the community's golf course inside The Hideout in Lake Ariel, Pa. The home consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 common areas and a large outdoor deck space. You can cozy up to the warmth of the wood stove fireplace in the main floor living room or the outdoor fire pit (no wood needed). Enjoy the natural light through the floor to ceiling windows on the home's front.


Located in Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania in the highly recognized gated community The Hideout, you will find nestled on a quiet, scenic cul de sac, steps away from the picturesque golf course, the Chalet on the Green.
A family owned and operated Air BNB where we welcome guests to basque in the stillness and solitude while also enjoying the numerous amenities that The Hideout and surrounding communities have to offer.

The chalet sleeps 8 comfortably offering 2 queen beds, 1 full bed and 2 twin beds all well dressed with fine linen. The master bedroom on the second floor has an adjoining half bath. In order for people to thoroughly relish the Chalet experience, we limit the number of registered guests to eight.

The loft welcomes guests to sit back, relax and challenge a fellow guest to a game of chess while the sun shines in through the majestic windows. While enjoying that space, grab a book or a board game from the “culture nook” on the same floor and take advantage of the tranquility. There is plethora of board games to enjoy!

The culture nook on the second floor can be enjoyed alone or with your fellow guests. There are books, board games and a record player with an assortment of vinyl for your musical enjoyment. So sit back on the bench (which has plenty of extra blankets for guests) or on the small futon and relax.

The living room space is furnished with natures colors to inspire the outdoorsy feel. Warm tones throughout. The living room area is furnished with a large flat screen TV mounted above the wood burning stove where you can watch Netflix, Hulu or your own streamed television shows or movies. A cozy atmosphere to enjoy a glass of wine that has been perfectly chilled in the built in wine fridge located in the kitchen. WiFi is available at no cost to all guests-password is located in the guest book.

Seating for four at the dining room table is a perfect scene for intriguing conversations, a recap of the days festivities and hearty meals cooked in the gorgeous kitchen; which is stocked with plenty of cookware, dishes, flatware and serving pieces.

The modern kitchen’s island is the ideal place to have your morning coffee or tea while watching the sunrise. It is also ideal for banter between the guests while meals are prepared. Or perhaps you have decided to place a take out order from a local restaurant. Either way, the kitchen is large enough for all guests to enjoy together.

The back bedroom, which is much more than just a place to sleep, accommodates sleeping for three. One full size bed and two twin beds.
Enjoy a game of foosball or pull up the stool to the Galaga full size arcade game! This is a perfect room for the young or the young at heart!

The third bedroom on the first floor, across from the large full bathroom, is simply designed for optimal rest. A well dressed queen sized comfortable bed for well deserved rest after a fun, fresh air filled day in the mountains.

Each bathroom is equipped with plenty of towels for guests, a first aid kit and fire extinguisher. The main bathroom has a large tub if a guest would like to soak and recharge.

The wrap around wooden deck on the chalet offers two areas in which to enjoy the outdoors. There is a propane Weber grill available to guest for outdoor cooking. There is a also a propane fire pit where guests can relax in the evenings. The back deck area has seating for four to enjoy outside dining and relaxation.

The driveways allows for no more than four cars.

The Hideout itself has many amenities that are available to registered guests for a nominal fee. A list of amenities and special events throughout The Hideout will be located in the guest book. There are many hiking trails and awe inspiring views in The Hideout and close by. A map of The Hideout including walking trails will be available to guests in the guestbook.

There are antique shops, quaint restaurants, a museum, library and other businesses located in nearby Honesdale. Please enjoy all the area has to offer. We’re here to offer you an environment where memories can be made and rest can be plentiful!

We are in a gated, private community with it's own security and requirements for renting. The
community requires info for ALL guests and vehicles that enter the community and stay at our property, and this is strictly enforced. The fines for being in violation are steep and compromises our standing the
community and ability to rent again in the future.
• In compliance with our HOA, we require a rental agreement to be signed at booking.
•All guests must be 25 & older unless
accompanied by a parent/guardian.
