Poorly stocked, run down furnishings, beach equipment inadequate. This property has a beautiful canal location. The house itself was clean, however it is very musty smelling and the furnishings are old and mismatched. The house is poorly stocked- no commonly used items - seasonings/plastic bags/garbage bags/foil/laundry detergent; etc. things that could easily be left between renters. Beach items - NO COOLER - you can’t walk to the beach so we wanted to pack a lunch but no cooler. NO beach toys of any kind- shovels/buckets/boogie boards. Very few beach chairs/ had to call for an umbrella. The outdoor ping pong table was broken. No kayaks or SUPs for canal access. For the price this house should have more high end furnishings with more many more amenities. Have stayed at island homes many times and found the lack of attention to detail, lack of beach items, and the feeling of being nickeled and dimed very disappointing.

Good location on the north end of the island. Warm pool and hot tub. Very clean. Rooms as described. Would stay again. They have tons of pool toys and beach toys!

Our stay at Gypsy Sol

Our stay was fantastic!! Room was very clean. Pool area was great, it provided a lot of sun for the wife and plenty of shade for me. We had a minor issue with our air conditioner on our second day and they were at our room in 30-minutes to repair it. Plenty of room, next time we are bringing the whole family.

February Funstay!

Loved the quiet location with pool and canal out back! All essentials and more were right at hand! I decided to extend my stay one more day at the last minute and they were so friendly and accommodating! The whole process took one phone call and less than five minutes! Such a pleasant experience!

fun in the sun!

great home, recently and tastefully remodeled. packed with what you need to live - pots, pans, etc. beautiful set up with the canal that empties into the bay and bay beach access just a block away. i recommend that the owner include bikes (easily rented by the week with delivery and pick up) and some outdoor games (cornhole, etc.). less than .5 mile to pine street restaurants and shopping. overall, loved the quiet isolation

Let's do it again

This place had all the comforts of home as well as everything you would expect while vacationing. Plenty of space for families to enjoy the outdoor living and also fully equipped for indoor fun. Having the dock next to the pool gave us all a sense of unity, some swam in the pool, others used their own Kayak to enjoy the channel, others fished and caught two 20" drum fishes, which was our yummy dinner that evening. This place was much more than we expected. We will definitely be back. Thank you

AMAZING GETAWAY PROPERTY....

This is a beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood! We will definitely come back. We have 2 suggestions for the owner / mgmt company: Outdoor Trash receptacles were full and full of maggots - not sure if previous renters were supposed to put trash out on curb for pick up. Thermostat - we kept getting an ALERT on thermostat and temp would stay at about 76 although we would set at 72 at night and made sure all doors were kept closed. We did run out of Butane on day one but property mgmt replaced the tank right away. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us...look forward to the next trip to Anna Maria.

Rubbish is on a twice-a-week “ side-door” pick up schedule. If the containers are not visible and accessible, they unfortunately get missed. We do apologize for that. We are happy to contact the waste company if we know before the end of their business day that your containers were missed. The thermostat is electronic and we are able to monitor the A/C activity remotely. A quick call to our office and we could have likely solved the issue. We’re always happy and eager to help our guest have as close to perfect of an experience as possible. Top Notch! Perfect location - Beautiful home!

This was our first visit to AMI. We were nervous about what to expect, but we fell in love with this adorable little island and will definitely be back! Gypsy Sol was the perfect home to enjoy everything the island has to offer. We could walk almost everywhere from the home. My kids enjoyed fishing off the dock and especially the gorgeous pool and hot tub. When we weren't enjoying the pool, we would go to the beach in front of the Sandbar restaurant. You could walk there but it was easy to find a parking spot so we drove. Renting golf carts for your stay is a good way to get around. Pine Street is easy to walk to and is filled with quaint adorable shops and food options. We had some of the best meals at The Waterfront Restaurant, The Rod and Reel Pier, Bridge Street Bistro, The Sandbar and breakfast at Ginny and Janes is a must. Everyone on the island was very friendly too. The home is impeccable and the decor is stunning. You won't be disappointed if you book this home!

No resolution, very poor communication

The pool filter and hot tub were broken when we arrived. They sent 3 different repair people out who told us it needed a new part. It was never fixed our whole time of rental. We rented this home because one of our group as rods in his back and needed the hot tub at night. I even offered to send them X-rays. We had to call 5 times to get an adjustment to our rental bill with assurance they would get back to us. They still have not resolved this issue and every time I call they claim that a ‘manager has to approve’ or ‘a manager will call you back’ but we have yet to have a manager call back. I have to keep initiating contact and they still haven’t resolved this as of this writing. It has been 2 weeks since we left. If you rent a place with the key amenities in non-working order, you should adjust the bill in a satisfactory way. Things happen and things break, I understand that. But the way you handle it says everything about your company. There are PLENTY of places to rent from. At this point I would not rent another place that AMI Property Management company manages. Really disappointed that I’ll have to call again on Monday.

Good location, Nice house, need some attention

We enjoyed the house, loved the pool. Thought the location was great. We enjoyed all the room and that the house was stocked with a lot of cooking pots/pans in the kitchen. The decor and design of the house is perfect for a beach home. There were several items that require some attention or cleaning and took away from our enjoyment of the stay though. A better broom to clean the beach sand off of the floor would’ve been nice. Inevitably, we would have sand on our feet when we went to bed. Frustrating. When we used the washer and dryer to clean the towels it sounded much like a helicopter taking off of the roof. Wash your laundry while you’re away, not at night. The doors to the deck are VERY hard to open and close. Theres no shelves in the freezer so utilizing the freezer was interesting. The furnace fan seems to run constantly and makes an odd gurgling noise that doesn’t seem right. There was black dog hair on the rug in the living room and on the beds in the “kids” room. With no vacuum available, we were unable to clean that and the baby ended up with runny nose and eyes. The neighborhood lanscaping crew uses a loud leaf blower from 8 or 9 am until 3 most days. Theres two homes being built/remodeled in the cul de sac so you’ll hear screw guns and hammering all day as well. The main purpose of this trip was the beach thankfully, so we were gone most of the time and spent very little time at the house. Otherwise, these minor inconveniences would’ve seemed larger.

Loved it!

Great house and great location. We were able to walk to the bay side and ice cream and restaurants. The walk to the gulf side is a bit longer. Probably 20 min at least. We ended up driving and parking everyday down to the gulf side because it was a better beach for the kids and clearer water. But we were able to find parking pretty easily. I wish the main living room tv was set up with Netflix but it’s an older tv. Two bedrooms had smart TVs that we got Netflix and Disney+ which was great. . One tv wouldn’t connect to the WiFi but overall we weren’t watching that much tv. The backyard was great. Awesome pool and spa and the kids loved fishing off the dock.

This house was amazing!the only thing I would do is dedicate a cabinet for spices, salt and pepper at least.also do your Wal-Mart shopping before going to Anna Maria as the traffic can be pretty bad.the cleaners sure could do a lil better job on the floors. All and all Anna Maria is gorgeous!!

We had a wonderful time, beautiful place to stay.

Everything was wonderful. When we first arrived I did need to do a little cleaning, keep in mind I have OCD so things that may both me may not bother you. We would definitely rent here again! The house is beautiful, well keepers, quite, and very relaxing.

Great place, nice location and well appointed

Would highly recommend this home. The property is very nice, beds were extremely comfortable and the accommodation were great. Its blocks from the pier and a great beach area. Walking distance to restaurants, ice cream shops, rental stores and shopping. The pool and hot tub were great, with plenty of sun deck area and shaded space to hang out and watch the kiddos play in the pool. Overall a great experience and would certainly visit this property again.
