This was a cool place to stay, quiet neighborhood and 5 minute drive across the bridge to New Bern. Pool table was fun and loved the fish! Love that the building used to be a store, very interesting history. Would definitely stay here again.
The space is just as it appears in pictures. It is a comfortable place. We were there off season, but found the area to be quiet. Walks around the area afforded us a chance to meet locals who gave some great recommendations. It is located across the river from downtown. I love staying near but not in the heart of a new to me destination and I would stay here again. It is an open concept that has walls for privacy in the bedrooms but A common ceiling for the whole space. I was able to be in my room and communicate with my family. A plus for me. Definitely recommend this listing!
We enjoyed a quick getaway to catch up with family in New Bern for the holiday. Low Tide offered a great space where we could play cards and pool while socializing and enjoying food from a local pizzeria. The space was clean and attractive in decor with a lovely fish tank. Definitely recommend!!
The property was beautiful and aesthetically pleasing inside and out. The area was so quiet. I was there for four nights, and never saw any other people in the neighborhood until the morning that I was checking out. The unit was very clean in every area (bathroom, bed linen, towels, floors). The motion lights in the kitchen were nice when going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The aquarium was a very nice feature and my grandson loved looking at the fish. There was a very modern air fryer available in the kitchen. I did not use it, but I was glad that it was there as an option. There was a nice, separate office area for use as well for business purposes.
Unfortunately, I did not realize that I had not received my check-in code before I got to the rental. Once there, at 2am, I was not able to access the rental. I contacted the host at that time, and did receive a response from them within four hours with the code. I luckily had other family members in the area that I was able to stay with during the duration. I also received a refund for that night without asking for it. I had received a message four days prior to the check-in time in regards to the code, but I did not notice it. That was my fault. If I had seen it, I would have had the code upon arrival.
Overall, this was a superb stay in a familiar area that my great-grandparents on both sides of my family were from, and myself have been to since birth. I highly recommend booking this place!
Such a cute place, everything that is advertised is correct. Location is quiet and a short walk to the waterfront. Host is communicative and prompt. Great VRBO!
This is the second year in a row my best friend and I have stayed at this property. We absolutely love it. So close to New Bern. Bridgeton is a wonderful city to stay in. We had a great time hanging out in the evenings playing pool and its so close to walk down the water as well. We will be back for sure!
This VRBO is a block from the waterfront and 5 minutes to the Convention Center area so it was very convenient. It was really huge and had great amenities!! I come to New Bern annually and will definitely look at booking this property again if it's available.
What a quirky but totally cool place! Watched some gorgeous sunsets down the street! Not far from New Bern's beautiful waterfront. Loved watching the fish in the tank! Two thumbs up!
Very unique place absolutely loved it!! Perfect for families but not so much for couples -- open design, not much privacy.
There is an area at the end of the street - its called a "park", very small, two benches but perfect to have a glass of wine and watch the sunset.
Locals out walking their dogs displayed the NC southern charm with a Good morning or good evening with welcoming chit chat and a lick form the dog.
The pool table is very entertaining as well as the poker table. My husband owes me $5452.00 :)
There is a oven/toaster/air fryer type of counter top device is very versatile and easy to use.
The fish tank is incredible!!
Being a NC native, I found the history at the Tryon Palace very interesting - I learned how to cook on a open flame with cast iron.
Persimmons is definite for dinner with seating outside by the river or inside .
There is a very unique unit and would/will stay again.
This was the perfect place for our 4th anniversary. Thank you so much for sharing.
This is a commercial property retooled in unique ways to create something different. For example the bedrooms are essentially large cubicles. Loved the aquarium, the dedicated office space, the large entertainment table. Owner is efficient and supportive.
For those that don't know, Bridgeton is across the river from New Bern proper, so nearby dining choices are limited -- although it's closer to the boating and camps in the Pamlico County direction.
Stayed at the Low Tide Condo for a biking weekend in Oriental. It was a great space for 2 couples with plenty of room to move around. We enjoyed playing pool. The kitchen was not really equipped for cooking any meals or storing large amounts of cold food, but that did not bother us at all. Had upstairs neighbors and hardly heard them at all. Enjoyed our stay.
Property was clean, well maintained, and great use of space. Loved having the pool table! Even though there is a unit upstairs we never heard the other guests. Felt like our own private house for the weekend. Loved the layout and that the building is historic. We will definitely come back and stay again.
This was the 2nd time at this property. It's perfect for a long weekend - convenient location; including New Bern, Beaufort and the beach. Would stay here again.
The building has a lot of character and nice touches. The aquarium is interesting, but the roar of the pump was a bit much. Would love to come back and check out High Tide.
