About this property

Tin W Suite-Remedies Inn, downtown historic

Located directly in the center of historic Main Street in downtown Sweetwater, is our quaint 1860’s boutique hotel, Remedies Inn. Experience our two room Tin W Suite named for the Tin W Printing and Hardware Store that was located in the building in 1880. This suite has a living room/kitchenette area, private bath with shower and private bedroom. 10 foot ceilings, original, exposed brick and two large, bright windows elevate the space to first class. Walk to the boutique and antique stores.
The space
We named our place Remedies Inn in honor of the many family pharmacies that occupied the space since it’s birth in 1860’s. Soak in the history in your private two room suite. A king size bed in the private bedroom boasts a tempurpedic mattress with an extra thick mattress cover for comfort, a large antique dresser and a 50” smart TV. WiFi is complimentary. The living area features a kitchenette with fridge, microwave and coffee service, sofa and 43” smart TV. The bright white bathroom with classic white subway tile and black marble hex floor are refreshing and clean. Enjoy the walk in shower with provided shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
Guest access
Guests will be provided with a front door key and the key to their suite. You will enter to the stairwell (no elevator at this time) and arrive at the foyer at the top of the stairs. The long hallway leads to the Tin W suite.
Other things to note
We are pet friendly. We love pets but they require more cleaning, etc. We charge a $20 pet fee per pet for each stay. Please let us know if you’re bring a pet and we will forward a request for the fee through the resolution center or you can bring cash on arrival. Any unpaid pets that show up on our security cameras will be charged a penalty fee. Thanks!

Such a cute town. Lots to do if you look. The inn was nice. It’s old and creaky but that’s part of the charm. Only negative was the bed. It’s too hard and too soft at the same time and sags in the middle, plus the fitted sheets kept coming off. Everything else was very nice and to our liking.

The little suite was clean and cozy. Good selection of amenities. Easy in and easy out. The box fan was a much appreciated surprise. Good location to be as we explored the area. Coffee shop was SO CLOSE and such nice people there.

The property is right in town, across from a lovely gazebo and some historic points. It was a lovely and clean unit and I enjoyed my stay. Just know you need to climb stairs.

Perfect for what we wanted

We are just looking for something unique not too far from Knoxville and this place was perfect. Being right in the middle of downtown Sweetwater was great as we could just walk downstairs and head to the coffee shop, a few restaurants or do some shopping. Cute little downtown as well. Room was nicely appointed and clean. If we head that way again we will absolutely consider staying there either in the same room or maybe try some of the others available in the same building.

Exceptional & Cozy

We fell in love with this apartment the moment we walked in. Such an excellent renovation, beautiful lighting, clean and accommodating, cozy yet spacious, thoughtful touches everywhere. The location is very central in this sweet little town and parking was free! The train crosses very nearby, but we loved it & didn't find it hard to sleep. We hope to try the other rooms in this suite in the future & will definitely be staying when we pass through again.

Everything was great except the fact that we arrived around 9pm and couldnt get in room. Thats because the dead bolt was latched due to someone else being in our room. Luckily while trying to get in we didnt get shot. Our room was double booked but thankfully there was another room available so all was good in the end.

Lots of Character!

Very unique boutique hotel with lots of character. I loved the style the owners used while paying tribute to the history of the building. I'm looking forward to seeing their vision for the other 2 rooms they have planned. The bed is a softer memory foam than I prefer, but I have a very firm mattress. The train was loud when rolling through town, but did not wake me up and I'm generally a light sleeper. The room was very clean, communication was great and check in process was easy.
