The city is in the province of Latina region of Lazio with 40,000 inhabitants. It is 110 km south of Rome, 90 km from Naples.
Shops for daily shopping are 5 minutes away on foot. In 5 minutes by car you can reach a shopping center with over 30 shops. The center of Formia with the port and train station connections Roma Napoli can also be visited with the local bus (stop 4 minutes from the house) Every Thursday from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. the big weekly market takes place. In 1 hour you can reach Roma, Napoli, Pompej , Pontine Islands, La Reggia di Caserta, Monte Cassino 1/2h
