Found everything at the cabin just as described
Great hosts showed us around
Hope to return in the future
We spent a fantastic and relaxing week at Rose Cabin! A beautifully and thoughtfully appointed space with everything you could possibly need. Our host, Peter, was attentive and extremely friendly!
We enjoyed our time at Rose Cottage. The view, the dock, the outdoor shower and the use of the canoe were all wonderful highlights. Highly recommend for any couple or family looking for a quiet cottage stay. Our hosts were lovely and very helpful during a medical issue we had.

Kate was an outstanding guest. The Cabin was left in an immaculate state. My wife and I would be so happy to have her back as a guest.
Had a wonderful experience! Beautiful property, most welcoming hosts and lots to do around the area.

Will definitely be back!!!
Thank you so much Peter and Elizabeth for your warm and hospitality!!!
What a wonderful, relaxing location. Very clean and equipped with everything you need for a cabin stay. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Screened in porch and on the dock were both perfect spots for relaxation.
We stayed 3 nights at the cozy Rose Cabin. The cabin is newly renovated and the owners have thought of every detail to make it a comfortable stay. The owners were gracious hosts and easy to reach when we had questions. The views are stunning too! We highly recommend!
This is such a lovely place. The cottage is perfect, comfortable, clean and full of everything you need. Beautiful dock to swim off, amazing BBQ, a wonderful outdoor shower with hot water and some great books and games to choose from for downtime
Thank you Peter and Liz
We really enjoyed our stay here. The screened porch was our favourite place to enjoy morning coffee, evening drink or anytime in between. The cabin is cute, clean and the kitchen is well equipped. We hope to visit again sometime (maybe to see the fall colours).

Wendi and family were excellent guests in every way! We would love to have them come back in the Fall, when the Fall colors in the sugar bush are in their splendor.
The property is beautiful and comfortable, right on the lake and the cottage is restored and designed with detail. It is well appointed with everything we needed. The swimming was wonderful. We especially loved how spacious the cottage was, and all the spots for sitting and enjoying the lake and views like the screened in porch and the docks. It was a pleasure interacting with the hosts. Highly recommend it.

Marina and her friend were excellent, ideal guests. They were quiet and friendly. They were appreciative of the beautiful French River. They left the Rose Cabin in an immaculate state. I would be honoured to have them return, and sincerely hope that they do!
This was our second stay at Rose Cabin. We love it here. The cabin is immaculate and has everything you need for the perfect getaway. The leaves in the fall are stunning in late September/October. The weather was great to go for a boat ride, fishing, walk in the woods, sit on the deck or the dock. A peaceful holiday. We highly recommend staying here!
Hard to summarize it in a few words as this was our initial Canada experience.
Rose Cabin and hosts - Liz and Peter - provide by far more than one could expect!
DEDICATION!
Thank you for this experience.
The accomodations were exceptional clean the washroom, although very clean was a outside toilet was a different situation but kept very clean. I feel that this cottage is set up better for couples who just wanted a break. The outside could do with a clean up regarding the growth of weeds etc. The couple where very freindly and accomadating. Fishing SUCKED
Beautiful views! Enjoy French River serenity & nature.
Rose Cabin makes access to the many wild islands & bays of French River Provincial Park within easy reach. The location is easy to access and a public boat ramp is minutes away. This is a quaint and beautiful property that is clean and well appointed. Owners were very friendly & accommodating.
The cabin has a lovely light pine interior with tasteful modern furnishings, and a very comfortable bed. Original art and unique touches are very inviting. The kitchen is very well stocked with cookware, utensils, dishes and glasses. The wood stove lends warmth & ambience on a chilly evening. We enjoyed spending time on the screen porch - providing a place to relax & read or just enjoy the views. The dock is large enough for a 14 ft. boat - or for spending the afternoon in the sunshine. Large deck with a great BBQ!
We'd like to return sometime again, and highly recommend this rental.

About the host
Hosted by Peter Best
The owners have an all season cottage "up the hill" on the same property. No radios or loud music etc. allowed outside the Rose Cabin. Owners are sometimes on site to happily render advice and assistance.
Why they chose this property
The Rose Cabin is a small but charming and cozy restored 1940's-style cabin, with a screened-in porch on two sides, including the river side. It is fully insulated so is cool in the summer, and , with the wood stove, able to be heated to comfortable temperatures in the winter. No supplied water in the winter.
What makes this property unique
The wilderness behind the Rose Cabin, starting across the road, is beautiful to walk in. There is a sugar bush to walk into, being a 45 minute walk one way. There are kilometers of hiking and/or skiing available on the snow machine trails in the forest behind the cabin. Boating on the French River is spectacular. Most basic amenities are available in Noelville, a 20 minute drive away. Sudbury is 65 minutes to the north. Surprisingly, there are relatively few boats on the French River. There is 18 kilometers of water. It is always easy to find a remote, secluded spot on the River to anchor or tie up at and picnic.
