This property is better than advertised. They show you pictures of the cabin, hot tub, creek, and beautiful interior. What's more difficult to convey is the tranquil sound of rushing water that you can fall asleep to while you lay in bed, balcony door open. Or the serenity of sipping morning coffee on that back balcony with your spouse, sounds of nature; not highway. We came to recharge and reset; to travel back east ready to take on the summer workload (HVAC). Mission accomplished. We'll be back.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely mountain getaway. The home was impeccably clean and comfortable. The hot tub was fantastic and the view was unbeatable. The creek was everything we wanted and provided fun for the kids. The campfire was also great at night. It was private, but had easy access to great hiking and activities during the day. The dishwasher and washer and dryer were large and in good condition. The kitchen was well stocked, and the layout was perfect. Communication with the host was spot on. We would definitely stay again!
We wanted a secluded weekend away and got exactly that. The location and cabin were beautiful. It was clean and location was perfect. We will definitely be staying again.
I was very pleased & impressed with cabin.ONLY issue I had was the bathroom rug in the master bathroom. Its rolled & I kept tripping on it. I recently had knee replacement, so I'm very conscience of things like that. Otherwise, everything was top notch
We have stayed in over a dozen cabins and this is the best by far! It’s private, scenic, and stocked with all the essentials to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable! The view of the creek from the hot tub is amazing! We saw a little bit of snow and enjoyed the cold temps during our stay. We plan on a return trip!!!
Our cabin was as it was described. The property was very clean and the kitchen was well appointed. We brought a crockpot and were surprised to see that one was actually provided. The beds were very comfortable. The location seems remote but it's only a 20 minute drive to Boone primarily due to the long, climbing road. The road going to the cabin has a few potholes but was easy to navigate in the daylight. The stream behind the cabin was a nice addition. It was a very peaceful and comfortable place. We will definitely be back.
Exceeded pictures and surroundings! We fished, slept great, had a more than fully stocked kitchen to cook and grill. Enjoyed the hot tub too! Boone was a short drive for groceries. Host was quick to respond. Probably the best VRBO experience yet!
What a beautiful property in the perfect setting. Very clean and well appointed throughout. Everything you could need is provided to include a very nice hot-tub, satellite internet, fireplace, and a grill. There are a few neighbors in the area that are not too close to be an issue. Keep in mind that the property is pretty remote so make sure you bring everything you need for the stay or be prepared to drive 30 minutes to the nearest grocery. Also, there are a few stretches of dirt road on the way to the property so watch for those transitions.
Our second time staying here. Place is well kept and clean. Always stocked with everything you may need. We enjoy staying here because it’s easy to relax with the hot tub and the sound of the creek. They even make it comfortable for our dogs.
The place was beautiful and tranquil but too close to road. Had some very loud trucks and cars speeding by and revving up their engines late at night. Loved the early morning on the deck listening to the stream and nature.
The cabin was perfect. We have stayed in many rentals over the years, but this by far felt like a home away from home. All of us made the comment while we were here. It is about 25 min drive from town, but we don’t mind that at all. The cabin had everything we needed, and then some. The property is beautiful and our stay was so peaceful. We really enjoyed the porch when we had a rainy day. We would gladly and most likely book this cabin again on any future trip to the area. We just love it! Thank you!
We have stayed here several times. It is PERFECT for anyone. We always have "Camp YaYa and PaPa" for our grandchildren.
They requested to go back here this summer. They stay in the water 75% of the time. I had messaged Bill, the owner and asked if he would make sure there were 3 rafts for the children. Without hesitation, he said they would be there. And they were. He is so wonderful to communicate with. We were able to sit on the back deck and watch the kids enjoy rafting. My husband even got some fishing in as well. It is a wonderful home, with everything anyone could ever need. I highly recommend this vacation spot to anyone. We will return again. Thanks you for sharing your home. Julie Collins
This cabin is awesome! We loved the river and the hot tub! It was very clean and new. Nicely decorated and very comfortable. No problem at all with the Wi-Fi - no complaints even from our teenager! We had no issues getting there- the house address came up on google maps just fine. We even got groceries delivered from the Walmart in Boone. The road is really curvy, but very scenic - a lovely drive. It is quite a ways to both Boone and Blowing Rock, but doable. It didn’t really affect us since we just stayed there most of the time - it was so relaxing and beautiful!
