We had 2 couples that stayed in the beautiful 2-bedroom mountain villa on Fitch Mtn. Communication with host was great and the property, which sits at the top of the mountain road was just as described. It is well appointed, secluded and very clean. The trail to the summit next to the house, which is not an easy hike, was used daily. The road up to the house is a small road, but we had a Nissan Rogue and had no problems navigating the road with the parked cars on the way up. Once you hit the property, there are private gates and drive which makes parking very easy, but you do have to do a 3-point turn to turnaround. When visiting wine country we try to stay on Fitch Mountain because of the views and proximity to downtown Healdsburg, so this property will be one that we will certainly use again.
This is a beautiful property with amazing views over the valley and nice little secluded back patio. We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend here. The rooms and amenities were perfect, the beds and pillows were super comfortable. There isn't much hanging space in the master suite but we were only there for a couple of nights so it didn't matter that much. The property is secluded and very quiet; note the road is quite narrow; the gravel drive and two gates took a little adjusting to, an AWD car is a plus. There are also quite a few stairs to walk up from the parking area up to the house. But it's well worth it once you get settled :) The owners were very responsive when I messaged them. I would definitely stay there again.
The place worked out perfect for our weekend stay. If getting an Uber I would recommend scheduling one. I would definitely recommend and stay at this property again.
This property is gorgeous - we felt tucked away in the hills but still close to town and wineries. Aida was communicative and helpful. We took advantage of the nearby trails, and loved exploring the area. Kitchen was well stocked, and beds were comfy. Overall, perfect place for a ladies weekend trip!
Beautiful surroundings, views, hike up the mountain. House was clean, comfortable, if a bit impersonal. Loved the fireplace. Shower and baths are luxurious but not great water pressure and not enough hot water to fill the tub. Aida was helpful with info. Would definitely stay here again.
This house was perfect in every way. It was breathtaking with villa styled charm and beautiful views of Sonoma. It was peaceful and private- secluded up a hill. The house itself was extremely clean and well stocked with essentials. We didn’t get to enjoy a hike because our stay was short but there was an easy access to a hiking trail right behind the home. It was very close to downtown Healdsberg. Perfect for our girls trip!
The house was perfect for two traveling couples - 2 king bedrooms, each with a separate bath - even though you must schlep your luggage up many steps before you enter the house. Once inside, all amenities are on the same level. The layout and furnishings were first rate. It is at the end of a narrow, winding road which some people may find difficult but we relied heavily on Uber for transportation to our points of interest.
Property was immaculate indoors. Dishwasher did not work, but we didn’t need it.
Outdoors not kept up as well as indoors, but that didn’t bother us.
Great place for two couples or two adult friends. Nice having 2 ‘master suites’
Kitchen was not that well provisioned, but let’s face it. If you are here, you are here to eat out.
Truly a beautiful and clean home. Very nice towels and linens to make one comfortable. As stated in previous reviews, the entrance into the house is a little cumbersome. We were fine, but I agree it would be difficult for the elderly and anyone physically challenged. My one suggestion would be to leave a remote once checked in to use for all in and out of the two gates for the duration of your stay. Thanks for a wonderful stay in Healdsburg.
Overall the property was very nice. It is well-appointed and is stocked well. The road to get to the property is a bit rough - typical of Fitch Mtn. Be sure to use your GPS, especially at night. The view from the house is excellent. If the large trees in front were trimmed, the view would phenomenal! The only thing that was a bit concerning is the property only has 1 door for entry/exit. Should there be an emergency where the door is compromised, you only have windows as an alternate egress. End of day, we enjoyed the property.
the house has a great layout. It is not all
all for the elderly or anyone having issues with a hike. It is a very long steep climb to get to the front door. It is a hike just to get your suitcase up the stairs. There is not a lot of space to turn around to get back out the gate. We have a nissan murano, pretty tight space. The house was so so for clean,The hood fan above the stove has not been cleaned in a very long time. There was a lot of cob webs and daddy long legs. We found a ton of very long black hair all over, in the bed, on the couches, on the floors. The kitchen needs a lot of items, there were a couple dozen plates, but 4 cuos. No large sauce pan or pot, no coffee scoop, no measuring cup or spoons, No glasses other than stemless wine. no rubber scrapers, They need to install robe hooks or extra towel bars, there is nowhere to hang your clothes before you get in of the shower. There is no closet in the master, a small closet in the extra bedroom. There were no extra blackets or sheets, The enrty outside could use a really good sweeping and removal of debris. Not the most inviting enrty. BEWARE the gate swing toward your car. ALL SAID AND DONE, would we stay again, probably, but now we know more of what to expect. The owner is very easy to deal with, Check in was simple, check out was easy. It is very quiet, peaceful, and the view was beautiful.

Glad to hear you would stay with us again and enjoyed your time in the peace and quite. Yes, this Villa is in the Fitch Mountain Preserve and is ideal for a get away for the outdoors minded with all the amenities. As in the description, there are 30+ steps from the drive to the house, and that it is not recommended for mobility impaired people (Though as previous adventurous guest have proved it is possible with allot of support). We will take inventory of the kitchen, most of the stuff you mentioned is stored at the coffee station, so we are surprised to hear it is lacking. We find that backing straight out is the easiest rather then turning around at the retaining wall as though do able, it is tight. As the drive is long and wide enough for two cars, we have had 6 cars in the drive without an access problem. We are disappointing about the cleaning issue and we have brought this up with our cleaning staff to make sure this does not happen again. Wish you reached out during your stay as we are always available to help resolve any issues and answer any questions. Thank you for your feedback and thanks again for choosing us.
It is an amazing home on top of a beautiful hill. Very nice accommodations with everything we needed. The house is a little difficult to get to but we had no issues in a Ford Explorer. Lovely scenery right out the front door and very secluded. The only thing that I wish it had is a place to hang cloths in the master and maybe a gas fireplace out back on the porch area. We will look to stay again in the future.
The house is exactly as pictured. Stunningly beautiful stay. Agree with other comments about needing a good car to make it up the hill

Nice getaway.
Working with Aida was great. We had to alter our dates and she worked with us to reschedule. The house was perfect for 2 couples- with rooms on each side of the house for privacy. We spent mornings and afternoons on the patio.
There were a few details that might be important for some people:
1. There is a steep gravel road leading to the property and the driveway is long and narrow without much room to turn around.
2. The house would not be good for anyone with mobility issues as the entrance is up many stairs.
3. There are no closets/ places to hang anything (although there are drawers available).
4. There are no window coverings in the bedroom so when the sun risas, the room is light!
5. There is a nice Wolf range if you want to cook!
We had a lovely stay with our family of four!! Close to town but yet so far removed. Incredibly peaceful - we’d love to visit again!

Great Location
My complaint is that I was given an incomplete combo to the first gate and a neighbor had to show me how to get in.
This pleasant house is a work in progress but the upsides outweigh the downs. The reviews are correct: EG No place to hang towels or clothes. The dishwasher door will wake the whole house. There is not enough hot water to fill the generous tub in the master bedroom. Why is the side of the house with the view the hardest to access? It's a tiering trek hauling groceries to the door.
But we had a GREAT stay. A short fairytale drive into the delicious touristy town. Minutes from kayaking. Dining/kitchen/living area is bright and sunny/well-lit. Sufficient kitchen implements for the home-chef. Bring your own spices. New washer drier.
Our group of 2 couples enjoyed staying at this remote location. It is a little challenging to get to it as it is halfway up the mountain, but once you are there it is a lovely location, and there's a nice hike right out the door. Our one and only concern was that there was nowhere to hang up anything. No hangers or towel bars anywhere. This may present a concern if your stay is for longer that a couple of days or if you don't like living out of a suitcase.
