This modern holiday home is located on a residential plot 200m from the edge of the forest. You have a beautiful view of the surroundings from the plateau, but in only 5 minutes you are in the idyllic Ruppert valley with its grazing cows, rare plants and the rushing stream. Here you will find relaxation in every season. In summer, a terrace with garden furniture and a grill invites you to linger, from which you can watch the bats at dusk. In winter you can watch the dancing snowflakes in the rocking chair, dream about the crackling fire and relax in the sauna after a nice winter walk. The rock pool is equipped with wall and floor heating.

You can expect "pure nature" right on the doorstep. You can toboggan behind the house, and there are also playgrounds and a soccer field with table tennis. Worthwhile excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity are, for example, the Rennsteig summit hiking trail. Places such as the theater city of Meiningen, Erfurt, Weimar, Ilmenau or Coburg can also be reached quickly thanks to the convenient connection. Hikes through the UNESCO-recognized Vessertal biosphere reserve are very worthwhile. Crystal clear streams ripple through partially untouched nature and invite you to relax and unwind. In winter you can expect more than 70 km of groomed trails and several ski lifts with different runs around the Rennsteig area.

Location and location of the accommodation

The house is on the outskirts of Zella-Mehlis 200m from the hiking trails. From here you have a beautiful view of the park-like property with the Ruppertsbach and the surrounding mountains.
To relax after a strenuous hike, you have your own seat with garden furniture and barbecue, as well as a sauna. Zella-Mehlis is a state-approved resort. The house is only 5 minutes away from the idyllic Ruppert valley, in one of the most beautiful basins, nestled in the highest mountains of the Thuringian Forest south of the Rennsteig.
The two towns of Zella St. Blasii and Mehlis merged in 1919, due to the historical past there is a market and a church in both districts, with the town hall in the middle. The new town center is currently being built here. The local mountain of Zella-Mehlis is called Ruppberg, is 866 m high and is a popular excursion destination with a managed mountain hut that welcomes guests on weekends from May 1st to October 31st.
