This beautiful 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo has been remodeled with stunning reclaimed oak floors and many new appliances. Comfy leather couches. Balcony provides a view and sound of Prospect Creek (currently an active beaver pond, with a footbridge right OVER it. So cool!). Private forest view from bedroom windows.
* A short stroll to express ski lift and Chondola (small gondola) Station. Chondola takes you to the heart of Mountain Village. The spectacular (and free) Gondola Ride from Mountain Village takes you into downtown Telluride. Please note the Chondola runs only during ski season. See below for alternate ride.
* Free half-hourly shuttle takes you from the base of the condo driveway to restaurants, shops, a grocery store and the Gondola in Mountain Village (when Chondola is not running).
* The free Dial-A-Ride stops at your door and takes you to restaurants, shops, a grocery store and the Gondola in Mountain Village.
* Fully equipped kitchen with granite counter-tops, coffee maker, blender, toaster oven, dishes, pots and pans.
*Kitchen appliances including dishwasher, stainless glass-top stove, microwave oven, and side by side refrigerator.
* Widescreen cable TV, DVD player, stereo and CD player in custom-built entertainment center.
* A very comfortable organic king bed in the master bedroom. Log twin beds and beautiful antique dresser in the second bedroom. Snuggly down comforter on the master bed. * Lockable ski locker just outside front door.
* Relax and catch some rays on the sunny balcony. The living/dining room is flooded with warm sunshine every afternoon (unless it's snowing - and we love that snow!).
* We provide a quick guide on all the free and fun transportation, and best spots to eat and shop!
* I do not require government-issued photo identification or a credit card at check-in. You will receive easy check-in instructions by email several days prior to arrival.
* No smoking allowed inside or on condo grounds per the HOA. Please!
See below for rate details. Longer-term rates available, please inquire.
A little more detail: The condo is up one flight of stairs but the unit itself is all one level. There is one unit directly above ours, and one unit that shares a portion of one wall in the second bedroom.
There are two bedrooms, one with a king size organic latex bed, and two comfortable twin beds in the second bedroom. Two fold out cots with comfortable pads are provided in case you bring a 5th and 6th guest. Both bedrooms have a window facing the mountain forest, and if you pay attention, you just might see a deer or two grazing in the grass just outside the window. Each bedroom has a bathroom with a shower and one sink.
The kitchen is compact but has all the amenities of a full kitchen. The kitchen looks out over a spacious living/dining area.
There is dedicated parking for one vehicle in front of the garage door (our garage is personal storage). I do not have a fast car charger, but if you drive a hybrid, you are welcome to drop a power cord from the outdoor plug on the deck down to charge your car.
There is a balcony overlooking the small parking lot and up to mountain views. The views are spectacular in the fall while the aspen are gold and orange! Across the street there is a bridge that crosses over a beaver pond that has live beavers living in it.

My son and I stayed here during a father - son road trip and the unit was clean and worked for our needs. Really appreciated having a washer and dryer that worked and was clean to wash clothes. Conveniences of the bus system really helped make getting around Mtn Village easy with three stops near the unit.
We had a really nice time during our stay in telluride. Condo was very clean and comfy. Our only criticism would be it lack some of the essentials you would get if you were staying in a hotel…soap in both bathrooms, coffee, etc just minor stuff. Overall great accommodations
Nice clean simple place. Space for only 1 car. Easy to find and beautiful location.

This listing is misleading because no where in the description does it say that it is a 2nd floor condo. The upstairs people are extremely noisy with loud kids and a barking dog. The Gondola is a 5 minute walk but only for the winter time and for the summer you have to drive 10 min to parking to use another gondola. We wouldn't have booked this property if we knew we'd have to use the car every day nor. The price for this place is very high and given these two factors above and the list below, the value is not there: there were misc items in the kitchen that were dirty, there wasn't any dishwasher soap, not enough bathroom wash clothes so you are forced to do laundry every couple days, the sheets have old stains on them, the shower curtain has large stains on it, the doors are all dusty to the point where I had to wash the door to be able to hang my shower towel, there was hair stuck to the wall in the main bathroom behind the door, there is a towel bar in the main bath that is falling off the wall, the sliding glass door handle completely fell off and we had to go buy a screwdriver to fix it and be able to lock the door, no wash rags in the kitchen to be able to clean the counters or table with after cooking and there are no feet on the couches so they sit so low that it's very uncomfortable and a bit painful to watch a 2 hour movie. We had to sit on pillows to get to a normal sitting height but the cushions are still so broken down that it hurts sitting on the couches.

I love my condo with all my heart. I bought it 20 years ago when I was working really hard. It was a refuge when I really needed it. This review implies that I have been ignoring my condo, but I work hard to keep it nice, and I enjoy having people stay there. This guest's review is not truthful. You can see that my listing title (right above this guest’s review) states that the chondola is seasonal. Please allow me to reassure you that you can indeed vacation at the condo without a car. My listing clearly states that when the chondola is not running (it runs during ski season), there is a free shuttle that stops at the base of the condo driveway every half hour. It takes you (and your dog) to the Market and gondola, among other places. I also have Dial-A-Ride available to my guests, also clearly stated. The ability to get around Mountain Village and into Telluride without a car is one of the coolest things about my condo.
This condo is a one-level unit that does require a set of steps up one story. This is not unusual for condominiums and if someone has mobility issues, they should definitely inquire, regardless of where they are renting. My guests are always welcome to ask questions before and after they book. I will also note here that being one level up affords a decent view from the deck, over the parking lot and toward the aspen groves and mountains. The back of the condo sits at ground level because it was built on a slope and sometimes in the summer you can see deer grazing right outside in the aspens from the bedroom windows.
There is one unit above my unit (also common for condominiums). It is owned by a nice couple from Florida who have a child and a dog (dogs are very popular in Telluride). They typically stay for a while in the summer, and rent it during the rest of the year. Occasionally I can hear people or a dog above me, but not very often. My condo is dog-friendly, and I presume this guest enjoyed that perk because a pet fee was paid. I will add that if the folks upstairs are being noisy and it bothers you, please do not hesitate to let me know. I find a gentle reminder from me is enough to quiet them down.
The sliding glass door handle recently became loose and I had it fixed by a professional locksmith, but the repair did not work and I am now using a different locksmith to hopefully order a replacement part. Things wear out and some things take some time to repair correctly. There is a wood bar for behind the slider so that the slider is secure when you want security. I have never canceled a guest because I need time to make a repair. Most repairs I can get done before the next guest, but sometimes not. Most guests are very understanding about that. I have a note in the condo for guests to "please let me know if something is broken or not right", but I rarely get notified. Such is the case with the towel bar that this guest mentioned, but I am trying to get that repaired in the next few days.
I do my best to be sure there are basics available such as coffee filters, napkins, laundry soap and dish soap, hand and shower soaps, tissues, paper towels, salt and pepper, spices and teas, etc. Sometimes something runs out and I am not aware of it. I have a supply of “wash rags” for guests but they don’t always get put out by the cleaners, who try very hard to make the place look lovely. If you wish for a kitchen wash rag and do not find any, there should be plenty of paper towels as a substitute.
Sometimes a bed sheet may have a light stain that I am not aware of. I do replace sheets on a regular basis. I use the best cleaners in the area (Ajax Cleaning) but they are not infallible and neither am I. If you look hard enough, you may find something that got overlooked. If you find the condo not clean, please let me know immediately so that I can get Ajax back there asap. If there is any issue with the linens or some item that you need more of, please let me know and I will tell you how to access the linen armoire, where I keep extras of most things. That said, I do not understand this guest's complaint about washcloths. I always set out one washcloth per person, with extras beneath the sink, but not one per person per day. Also, there are no stains on the shower curtains and the shower liners get replaced on a regular basis. The cotton shower curtains are original to the condo when I bought it and I think they are adorable. They get washed as needed.
No one has complained about the couch before this review, but I will admit that it is getting a bit squishy. I am currently on the hunt for a new one that looks as nice as this current one and is as easy to keep clean.
I hope I covered everything. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
We had a great time in Telluride for the Bluegrass festival. The condo was comfortable and had everything we needed. Transportation to and from the both the resort and downtown Telluride was smooth via the shuttle and the gondolas.

Cozy, beautiful, and great location
Really beautiful and immaculate condo! Loved how comfortable all the beds were, especially the King in the master. Fairly easy walk in ski gear up to Big Billie's to catch the gondola. Laurie was terrific to work with. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!!

Thank you for leaving a review Patricia! I put alot of TLC into the condo because I want my guests to be comfortable and to love their vacations! I'm very glad you enjoyed your time there! - Laurie
The unit was perfect for our family of four. Well equipped, clean and spacious with all the necessities. A suggestion to someone staying here is to rent your ski equipment close to the chondola drop off in the village center. We rented at the peaks hotel store which was a little out of the way.
Very clean. Perfect amount of space for our family of four. Laurie was awesome and quickly responded to our questions. It is about a 4 minute walk to get to the chondola to go into mountain village. From there, you can take a gondola into telluride. Such a beautiful place and wonderful vacation for us!
The condo was very comfortable and there were many Transportation and parking issues. I recommend it.

For those reading this review response, my guest generously emailed me and apologized for using the word "issues" instead of "opportunities". The free gondola linking Mountain Village to Telluride is a fun and popular mode of transportation during the Telluride Film Festival, and I provide some info on how to use it at the condo.
This was a well located unit, which accommodated all 5 of us in the family comfortably. Just 5 min walking distance from the lifts and chondola. The gondola system allows to go to Mtn Village, the Grocery Store, and to Telluride. Everything in the unit works perfect and there are instructions notes along the apartment explaining things. Very useful.
The condo was clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfy. There were a few factors that didn't make it 5 star great such as the actual distance to the Gondola, growing water damage on the ceiling above the kitchen, and the upstairs neighbors doing construction till late into the evening everyday but the place was good for a short stay with the dogs. Thanks!

To reassure future guests: The upstairs owner assured me he is finishing with his remodel this weekend. He should not have been working in the evening! I do encourage guests to let me know when they observe a problem that I may not be aware of. In this case I am grateful for the mention of the leak from above. I am currently working with the upstairs owner to locate the source of the problem. Regarding distance to the core of MV… The condo is about a four minute walk to the Chondola which runs during ski season. There is also a free shuttle that takes us to the MV Gondola during all other times.
Condo was even nicer than I thought it would be. The interior has been fixed up, and has plenty of room for at least 4 people. The area is very dog friendly. The view off the deck is beautiful, and the back bedrooms are really quiet even with the window open. The condo owner is quick to respond to any questions, and there is info posted around the condo as well. It is an easy walk to the shuttle bus which will take you to the free gondola. Very easy to get around. We had a great time.
We booked this somewhat last minute to get out of the AZ heat. Laurie responded to any inquiries promptly and also providing some great recommendations of things to do in the area. This was our first visit to Telluride/Mountain Village and we absolutely loved it! The condo was the perfect accommodations for all 4 of us and our 2 french bulldogs. I was a little surprised to find out when we got there that the chondola only operated in the winter months (the description doesn't really call that out), but the shuttle wasn't too bad. I would recommend they invest in some new bath towels but other than that, a wonderful stay!
Great, dog-friendly location for Mountain Village & Telluride
We enjoyed staying here very much. It is a lovely condo that we visited for a week in Summer 2023.
There is good access to Mountain Village - you can either drive to the market or take the Galloping Goose shuttle, which goes every 30 mins. From there, you take the gondola to Mountain Village and on to Telluride.
If you would rather walk, the documentation recommends the Jurassic trail. This is an easy downhill trek back from Mountain Village to the condo - about 2 miles.
Alternately, there is a more direct route, if you take the Meadows trail.
The condo itself was roomy and had everything our family of four + dog needed for a comfortable visit.
The host, Laurie, is very friendly and easy to communicate with.
Thank you, Laurie!
We didn’t spend too much time at the property as we were in town for a festival, but the place was nice and clean. The only downside that we saw was that there are notes left, on everything. Door is temperamental, don’t mess with the float in the toilet (?!), use these suction cups and on and on and on. Read the checkout instructions carefully before booking as I’m not really sure what we paid a cleaning fee for. Have to wipe out all appliances, sweep and mop floors, etc. Be prepared for lots of visual and instructional overload. Other than that, we would recommend it overall. Just know what you’re getting.

So sorry you were distressed by my little notes in the condo. I manage the condo myself and the notes have resulted from previous guests needing help with something or making a mess of something (ie one guest flooded the bathroom floor because they fiddled with the float level in the potty tank). My guests are not expected to clean. But this is a party town and I have had to deal with some huge messes, so the suggestion on the door is to be responsible for any unusual disturbances a guest may have created.
We enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent for everything we wanted to do. The place was clean, but we could have used some cleaning supplies and sponges or rags to keep the counters and stove clean. Also, there isn't any dishwasher soap, so we just ran the dishwasher on a hot setting, no soap.

Hi Lynne,
I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. There are cleaning solutions in the cabinet above the sink. Laundry detergent is in the closet with the washer and dryer. I do appreciate your bringing to my attention the lack of a kitchen sponge. I had a conversation with the cleaning and care company that I use, and they told me they provide handheld brushes for any sink cleaning, and avoid sponges for environmental reasons. While I agree with not wanting extra environmental waste, I have provided sponges for the cleaners to put out, and extra dish cloths. My apologies that the dishwasher soap ran out, I was not aware.
Regards, Laurie

Why they chose this property
Telluride is a very special, unique place. It has drawn me here for many years before I could purchase this beautiful condo. The condo is a wonderful place to come back to after enjoying a day filled with adventure in the Colorado mountains or playing in the Town of Telluride.
What makes this property unique
The accessibility of the condo to free daily transportation is priceless. Ski lifts, the seasonal Chondola up to Mountain Village, the free Gondola into Telluride, the free shuttle into Mountain Village. It is a wonderful network that allows one to live, ski, adventure and wander afar, all car-free! And the views from the Gondola are spectacular!!
