The holiday home "Monte das Amendoeiras" is idyllically and quietly located outside the village center of Quelfes. The center of the nearest major city of Olhão is about a 10-minute drive away. There are numerous large supermarkets, shops and restaurants, as well as a fish market right on the harbor. Moreover, Olhão is the gateway to the beautiful nature reserve "Ria Formosa" and some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, the dunes of Armona,
Culatra and Farol. Various other beaches are about 10 - 20 minutes away by car. The house is about 20 minutes from Faro International Airport, the nearest train station is in Olhão. The nearest motorway junction of the A22 is about 10 minutes away.

This is a great house in a peaceful setting that offers a lot of privacy. The house is well-equipped, and the satellite internet is both fast and reliable. Check-in was very easy, and the owner was a great communicator. It was a great experience overall!

We enjoyed having the property for our week in Portugal it is a great location as a base camp and we could access many things within the area and also were able to drive to Seville for a day easily as well as Lagos for a day Clean and in a great location if you want privacy and wish to be out of town. We loved having the pool even if the weather didn’t cooperate

Almond Grove

We enjoyed our stay at Monte das Amendoeiras" in Quelfes in a Almond Grove. Communication from the owner is very good. We were pleasantly greeted and shown to the villa. The pool was kept clean for our use during our stay.

A perfect villa

The villa was perfect and had everything you could need for your stay . Humberto was always so helpful if you needed anything . The only thing that concerned us was the path up to the villa ( our sat nav called it unpaved road ) we had hired a new car and lumps in the road made it hard to drive down . I would happily stay there again as the pool and villa are amazing . ( just not bring a new hired car )

Rest and relaxation

The bungalow and its grounds were spacious, well equipped for the heat, with options to have shade - very necessary when it was 33C! The pool was fantastic! We self-catered the whole of our stay - so found the kitchen to be very well equipped. Comfortable beds, sofas etc, with plenty of spare cushions, towels etc. The owner's father responded quickly to any queries we had. All in all, a lovely holiday! Thankyou, Humberto!

Pleasant in the Algarve

Lovely villa , clean and well equipped. Quite spacious. The fittings are of a good quality and all you need is provided. There are two minor issues - there is a rough track of 300 metres approx to the property so do not have low profile tyres! and if you live in a quiet area you may find the nearby road a little intrusive in the daytime.We also had a bed issue but we are sure that will be solved quickly as the owner and his parents are charming people to deal with.

Es war ein super toller Urlaub in dem Haus. Für uns hat alles gepasst. Sogar das Bett war bequem. Nicht zu hart und nicht zu weich. Küche toll ausgestattet. Super toller Pool. Grill. Alles da was man braucht. Humberto war auch erreichbar wenn es Fragen gab. Also alles bestens. Einzig die Lage ist etwas abseits. Ohne Auto nicht zu machen. Aber das wussten wir vorher.

Cadre isolé sans être au bout du monde

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le côté "isolés", tout en étant près d'Olhao pour "l'approvisionnement". Le logement est très agréable, et la communication avec Umberto et Ruth, malgré la barrière de la langue, c'est très bien passé grâce à la bonne volonté de chacun. Nous avons eu juste deux petits désagréments pour lesquels personne n'y peut rien malheureusement. Tout d'abord quelques nuisances nocturnes en raisons d'aboiement de chiens, ensuite bien que le wifi fonctionne très bien, le réseau internet est très aléatoire. Tout cela n'est pas vraiment un problème en soit, mais pour certains autres voyageurs il peut être intéressant de le savoir. Nous sommes malgré tout très satisfait de notre séjour, et envisageons déjà peut être d'y retourner.

La casa es cómoda y estaba limpia y bastante bien equipada. La piscina era muy grande y se preocuparon de que estuviera limpia a nuestra llegada. Como parte negativa, en mi opinión, está muy apartada del núcleo urbano, en una zona muy poco poblada, aunque tiene sistema de alarma. Y en los setos de alrededor de la piscina vimos alguna rata que no se asustaba mucho aunque estuviéramos bañándonos

Estimada Angie, agradezco mucho la calificación de 4 estrellas. Nuestra casa está ubicada en el campo, en una zona rural donde hay almendros, higueras, algarrobos, olivos y un huerto de naranjos. La casa es ideal para familias que quieran pasar sus vacaciones en una zona tranquila y lejos del bullicio turístico. Como está en la descripción de la casa en el sitio web, la ciudad más cercana, Olhão, está a 10 minutos en coche y allí tiene todo lo que necesita para sus vacaciones. En cuanto al roedor que vio cuando estaba en la piscina, es la primera vez que escuchamos sobre esto. Puede haber sido atraído por restos de comida o basura que estaban fuera de la casa y es algo de lo que siempre debemos tener cuidado para no dejar restos de comida en el exterior. Lo mismo ocurre en zonas urbanas donde hay restaurantes o supermercados o donde están los contenedores de basura. Como puede ver en las clasificaciones anteriores de 4 y 5 estrellas, todos los huéspedes que han estado de vacaciones en nuestra casa nunca han visto nada de esto en los últimos 5 años que hemos recibido huéspedes. La casa sí tiene un sistema de alarma conectado a una central para evitar que los huéspedes sean molestados y también para que el seguro pueda cubrir cualquier gasto que pueda ocurrir durante las vacaciones de nuestros huéspedes. Somos, en la región, la única casa con este sistema de seguridad conectado a la policía local. Muchas gracias por tudo Un Saludo

Eine schönes Haus umgeben von Mandelbäumen mit einem großen Pool, es fehlte uns an nichts, netter Kontakt mit dem Vermieter. Allerdings für 2 Paare nur bedingt geeignet da der zweite Schlafraum eher für Kinder geeignet ist, Etagenbetten und ein Ausziehbett. Wir haben uns dennoch sehr wohl gefühlt 😁😁

Très agréable séjour passé dans cette location

L'emplacement de ce logement est parfait pour découvrir l'Algarve. A 1h de Lagos, 1h30 de Sagrēs, 40 mn de Tavira nous avons pu visiter tous les jours un endroit différent. La proximité de la Nationale n'est absolument pas gênant. Vous entendrez seulement les aboiements des chiens voisins en tendant l'oreille. Le logement est parfaitement équipé et spacieux. La piscine est très agréable et sans vis à vis. ( nous n'avons juste pas réussi à l'allumer lors d'un bain du soir) Nous recommandons cette location.

Un vrai bonheur

Maison très bien équipée pour un couple avec ou sans enfant. Environnement tranquille au milieu d amandiers et d avocatiers (aucun vis à vis) et proche des lieux à visiter.
