From here it is only approx. 17 km to Erfurt, approx. 30 km to Weimar and 20 to 40 km to the Thuringian Forest!

Our fully equipped apartment has over 70 square meters of living space (floor tiles with underfloor heating), with a comfort kitchen (dishwasher, electric stove + oven / steam extractor, microwave, fridge / freezer, coffee machine, kettle, etc.), a large living room with sofa bed (pulled out: 1, 10mx2m), if necessary Space for additional air mattress or Cot, dining area and fireplace, TV / radio / DVD / BlueRay / surround system, a bedroom with double bed (1.60mx2m), wardrobe, chest of drawers, separate TV and desk / Internet and a bathroom with combined bath and shower and washing machine, a storage room. Electric shutters in the kitchen and bedroom. Direct access from the living room to your own large terrace with garden, garden furniture and gas grill / charcoal grill on request - ideal for relaxing!

Access for guests:
The apartment is largely (also optically) separated from the rest of the house and the surrounding area - in which we host. Access via the common staircase or directly via the garden and terrace.

Important informations:
This is a non-smoking apartment - therefore please only smoke outdoors (terrace, garden) (and please take ashtray with you ;-))

Pets are welcome (no extra charge - but please let us know in advance! - We have dogs and cats ourselves!)

Children up to 3 years live free of charge - cot / "stall" and high chair are available

We kindly ask you to wear slippers (the ones we provide or bring with you) and not street shoes. Thank you!

Bed linen (duvets in the bedroom have a comfort size of 1.55mx220m, otherwise normal size) is provided or you can bring your own.

Final cleaning is always done by the host (+ € 30)

On request we can provide a grill and up to 2 bicycles!

What is there to discover?
The village of Riechheim - a district of Elleben - is a well-known and popular nature conservation and hiking area with a lot of untouched forest landscape for the residents of the Thuringian state capital Erfurt, about 17 km north - beautifully situated on the over 500 m high Riechheimer Berg, the one wonderful 80 - 100 km wide view of the southern Thuringian basin (Arnstadt, the famous "3-Gleichen-Burgen") and large parts of the Thuringian forest. From here you can easily drive to Erfurt in about 20 minutes and Weimar in about 30-40 minutes - the European Capital of Culture 1999 and UNESCO World Heritage with the houses of Goethe, Schiller and Liszt, the famous National Theater ("Weimar Republic ") and the" Bauhaus "- but also to the infamous Buchenwald concentration camp.

You will find just a few kilometers from your apartment (even on foot!) the Thuringian open air museum Hohenfelden, only approx. 1 - 2 km further the thermal landscape and water park "Avenida-Therme" and behind it the active park Hohenfelden with climbing forest, archery, adventure golf, bungee trampoline, beach volleyball, climbing playground and petting zoo. In summer you can go swimming in the lake there ... Another short stretch - and you are in the old town of Kranichfeld with its two castles and a well-known falconry, the daily flight demonstrations of birds of prey of many types and sizes (even a Condor is included!) offers. Of course, you can also explore all of this by bike - and for fans of the bicycle (which you can borrow from us) there are a number of cycle paths available - such as the Ilmtal cycle path and the Rennsteig cycle path. And on the weekends you can let yourself be blown up in the air in nearby Bad Berka - or explore the area comfortably from above with an engine pilot.

You will find Arnstadt in a south-westerly direction - this is where Johann Sebastian Bach found his first job as organist and in nearby Dornheim you can visit the church where he was married to his first wife. And in winter it is not far from there to the winter sports resorts in the Thuringian Forest, especially the famous Oberhof with its toboggan and bobsleigh tracks, biathlon, cross-country and alpine skiing areas. From Riechheim you can easily take day trips to the entire Thuringian country. B. to Gotha, Eisenach with the Wartburg, Bad Langensalza with its beautiful gardens, etc. And of course please don't forget the state capital Erfurt, which can be reached in just a few minutes by car! A little further away, but still feasible as a day trip e.g. E.g .: Eisenach with Wartburg and Bach birth house, UNESCO World Natural Heritage and one of the last German primeval forests "Hainich National Park" with tree top path or the "Kyffhäuser" in the north of Thuringia ..
