This charming and very bright cottage is ideal to discover the department of Indre-et-Loire. The original hunting lodge on the edge of a forest spoils its guests with a beautiful view of the rural surroundings. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom. The living room and dining kitchen are located on the first floor, and a fire in the fireplace can make slightly cooler evenings even cozier. The region boasts an impressive architectural heritage. Peaceful lodge near the forest

An old hunting lodge which has been well converted by the owner. It is set in a very peaceful valley on the edge of the forest, with a large garden, up a very quiet road so was very tranquil. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the kitchen very well appointed. the owner was there to greet us and was very helpful, but does not live locally. There was no mobile phone signal at the house, but there is good wifi. Great location for visiting various Chateuax.

Country retreat

Lovely very quiet (apart from wildlife) hunting lodge located in woods near Cravant and wine country, 20 mins from Chinon. Clean, great kitchen facilities, big living room, good wifi, 1 double room, 1 with 3 singles, all comfortable (apart from pillows). Very interesting area, full of history, wine and walks thru woods. Would go back.

Nice, quiet, well equipped

Beautiful, spaceous house, on a big piece of land. This is the hem of the forest, it smells beautifully and you just hear birds. Well located between Azay, Chinon and Fontevraud. Car is needed. The owner is quite friendly and helpful.

A beautiful property in a beautiful setting

We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children) and we had a lovely stay at the Vau Riau. The manor is completely renovated combining elements of the past with today's comforts. Our host, Monsieur de Foucaud gave us a warm welcome and provided us with all the necessary information on the house and the surroundings as well as lots of tourist brochures. Its location was ideal for us and we visited about 10 Loire castles and had 3 boat trips in a weeks' time. We highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to visit the Loire area and stay in a nice home away from home.
