MILL CREEK RESORT AND COUNTRY CLUB is one of the best kept secrets in the Smoky Mountains. Here in the mountains of North Carolina you will enjoy hospitality at our comfortable and deluxe accommodation, breathtaking views surrounded by the majestic mountains, an 18 hole championship golf course and great tennis facilities, marked walking trails, large pond in the gated community. This scenic course was built next to a national forest. The forest is home to an abundance of wildlife, such as turkey and deer. This tree-lined course has hilly and dogleg fairways. The large greens are undulating, and all the tee boxes and greens are elevated. Enjoy the beauty and serenity of the Mountains.

This privately owned and tastefully decorated 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths in a 2 level home is located in the Mill Creek Resort and country club. The 2400 sq foot house sits on a hill nestled in the majestic smoky mountains. The home overlooks the fairways and greens of the 18-hole championship course. The home is fully furnished for your comfort. It's air conditioned and centrally heated. The laundry room is upstairs with washer and dryer. There's a one car garage. There is a fully furnished kitchen for quick snacks or large family meals, a separate dining area, living room has 2 new leather recliner sofas, 32 inch TV for the family room. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms 2 with queen beds 1 with a double bed. Linens, beddings, towels are provided. The family-recreation room is located downstairs which opens up to the back covered porch, you can sit in a swing on the downstairs porch. The family room boosts a 60 inch screen TV cable TV, to watch movies and relax. There is a stereo DVD and CD player. You are in walking distance to the restaurant, tennis courts, pro shop, and are in driving distance to all attractions in town.
You will enjoy the serene tranquillity and unwind in our comfortable, clean, vacation home.

Whether you golf or just want to get out of the summer heat, we have what you are looking for in a cool mountain getaway. If you are looking for a place to enjoy the colors of the season, fall at Mill Creek is spectacular. This is a year round resort. When you are ready for a vacation, we are ready to make it memorable. Within an hour's drive you can explore the culture of the nation's largest Cherokee Indian Reservation, tour the palatial Biltmore Estate in Asheville, or attend countless concerts, live stage performances, art exhibits and other cultural events. After your visit to Mill Creek in the smoky mountains you will be anxious to get back home to tell your friends about this great mountain getaway.

Franklin is a small mountain town surrounded by beautiful streams, waterfalls, mountains, hills and valleys. The people are friendly and organize lots of local activities, including festivals, outdoors concerts, and arts & crafts shows. There are plenty of trails for hiking and the views are breathtaking. Activities such as fishing, hunting, hiking, tubing, rafting, boating and kayaking are also available. The Franklin area is the Gem Capitol of the World, so if you try your hand at mining you are bound to find many beautiful and sometimes very valuable stones. We’re located in the “Smoky Mountains” where you enjoy cool mountain air, rivers and incredible mountain vistas.

Franklin Getaway

We very much enjoyed our time in this spacious, clean home. We were able to explore the area in all directions and enjoyed our day trips with hiking, shopping and dining in Franklin, Bryson City, Lake Junaluska, Asheville, Brevard, Highlands, and Cashiers. Our hosts were very friendly and had rapid response time for any issues or requests.

Wouldn't Rent Again.

Our experience in this house was not that great. It wasn't very clean and we requested that it be cleaned again, and though the owners complied and were very nice, it didn't help much. Nothing extra was supplied except a few cleaning supplies and toilet paper. The furniture is very old and scratched/chipped and dresser drawers didn't work right. There are huge stains on the carpet in all 3 bedrooms. Walls, appliances and light switches all had dirty fingerprints, handprints or scuffmarks. Pillows on the bed were very old, lumpy and smelly. No phone and no bbq grill.

Overpriced, too many concerns

I hope we could read review like this before rent this house. I will try to describe the property because it wasn't review and describe enough. We rented this home for the Christmas/New Year week. This year because of pandemic we had make this trip as last minute decision and didn't have big variety of home to rent at VRBO. We paid around $100/day more than our previous winter trips to NC and expected to have a great vacation. Communication with owner before arrival was Ok, but this was first time when for check in an owner doesn't use a lock-box and asked to met in the house. My wife is a medical provider and works close with COVID-19 so our family takes serious all safety regulations. Our first shock was when Varshana and Eric met us inside the house, they were walking around the house without masks and touching everything. Also we couldn't find in the house any COVID rules, sanitizers etc. This was our second trip to NC during the pandemic and previous house had everything to feel you safe. The house itself is clean and spacious, but you feel as if owners have saved on you. Old furniture, cheap bathroom and kitchen, low amount of decoratons, microwave handle has been broken, toilets easy get clogged, water heater is small and only two people can shower before water is run out. Basement floor has a bed but doesn't have bathroom, so if you rent house for big group bathrooms can be an issue. Also make sure to bring entertainment with you, they have only old dvd disks. When we arrived outside temperature was below 20 degrees and heating doesn't work properly. It took more than 24 hours to get 72 degrees inside. Our first night was terrible and freeze. Varshana tried to call HVAC guy but it was Christmas day nobody cannot come. So they keep us as is. We also were surprised that in such expensive house we have take our garbage to the recycle center which is more than mile away. I'd not recommend this house except you golfer and come to play at Mill Creek course.

What fun!

2 families with young kids-we had a great time. The kitchen has all you need; nice play space in the moving areas; beds are comfy with space for a pack n play. The area is packed full of outdoor activities for kids. Such a fun trip!

Smoky Mountain Getaway

Beautiful Views! The location was central to everything that we wanted to explore. The home layout is very comfortable and the home owners were quick to respond to any questions or issues. The golf course amenities have changed a bit since the ad was written.

Excellent for our needs

We were a party of 4 adults and a 7 year old. The home was very comfortable for us and extremely roomy, although we did not use the basement area at all. We so enjoyed sitting out on the balcony in the cooler temperatures and enjoying the lovely view. The owner was very responsive to our needs when the router cable for wifi was not working. Also, there a lot of suggestions left by the owner of things to do and see in and around Franklin. The highlight of our trip was rafting on the Nantahala. We used Endless River Adventures out of Bryson City and was extremely pleased. Not nearly as hectic as NOC for rafting. We had a great time with our granddaughter and kept on the go. We hope to visit Franklin again in the future.

Spacious, Comfortable Home

We spent a month and found the home very comfortable. The owners have been renovating and there is now wood flooring throughout, including in the bedrooms. The living/dining area was very expansive, and included a large desk. This was conducive to our needs, as we had two laptops, printer and scanner. The owners were helpful and when we mentioned we both needed to use the internet at the same time, they immediately installed a router so we had wireless access. When we discovered that the garbage disposal was not working, they came to replace it right away. They also got us passes to get into the wholesale gem show taking place in Franklin. The house is conveniently located near the entrance to Mill Creek, and is high on a hill with beautiful vistas. Would recommend for a family vacation.

Mill Creek

The house was easy to find. The house was very clean and well maintained. The owners were very helpful and helped us in anyway that they could. My husband and I would reccomend this house to anyone who wishes to get away for a few days, or even a month. Franklin is a place that is full of alot of friendly people and alot of places to see. My husband and I would reccomend that when you stay to go to the Great Smokey Mountain Performing Art Center they have some really great shows; or you can just sit on the deck and listen to the nearby creek,or watch the golfers, or watch the wildlife. You will have a wonderful time, I know we did!!!!

Excellent roomy family friendly vacation home

We've enjoyed several months over two years in this location & would highly recommend the house as being very user friendly for both family use & visits by friends. The area offers much to do & the owners couldn't be more gracious.

We had a wonderful time i...

We had a wonderful time in the Franklin area for our Christmas vacation. The owners were very nice, and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, and enjoyable. We were able to see a family our deer right down the road from the house on several occasions, and that was a big thrill for all of us. We wish we could have stayed longer, but we had to get back to reality. Thank you again for letting us stay at your home, and for making our stay a memorable one!!
