Family reunion - your very own mini hotel! Downtown St. John's, sleeps 19

Perfect for a large family and/or friend reunion, Monroe House is ideally located in downtown St. John's. Located 2.1 km from Signal Hill and 2 km from George Street. We are within walking distance of many iconic downtown shops and restaurants such as The Parlour, Bannerman Brewery and Coffee Matters. Each of our 8 Suites includes a seating area, a flat screen tv, and a private 3 piece bathroom. No rental car needed for this great downtown location, however, we do have a large driveway with parking for 6-8 cars.

Beautiful home. All the suites are quiet and private. The kitchen is well equipped, the dining room is well furnished. We had 19 people there and everyone was pleased with the space and privacy we had.

50th Birthday Bash

We had a great stay at Monroe House, plenty of room for our group of 16, it was close to walking to most everything in the downtown and harbour areas. Julia & Dion were great hosts and quickly answered or fixed any issues that came up during our 8 day stay.

Beautiful home

A beautiful home very close to downtown and Quidi Vidi. Large home with room for all 14 of us for a wonderful family vacation. The host was very responsive and helpful. Looks like some alterations are going on but didn’t affect our stay

Bringing kids and spouses back to our “roots”

Monroe House is a beautiful older mansion with period furniture and wonderful Art work in all the rooms. The children loved exploring all the rooms on 3 floors. The kitchen was very well supplied with everything you could need to feed the 12 of us. It was within walking distance of downtown, Quidi Vidi and Signal Hill. Our family loved it!

Interesting glimpse into history

Unfortunately because of flight delays, 2 family groups arrived after midnight so our stay at Monroe House was short. The furnishings, art work and layout were in keeping with earlier times. Spacious accommodation, everything worked. Thanks.
