Location was perfect! Bathroom in serious need of updating, and door locks very tough to turn. Other than that. Great location, and can’t beat the price.
Excellent location. We rode our bikes into DC via the C & O Canal trail and so didnt have to worry about parking. One block away are excellent restaurants. We went to the Ukrainian restaurant. And we visited the Eastern market / Farmer's Market on Saturday. Trader Joe's is two blocks away. So we made use of the kitchen. The capital building is about one mile. So we had easy access to the mall and all it has to offer.Washer and dryer didn't work. We let them know and they were grateful so hopefully it works for the next tenants/guests.The bed is comfortable and it was nice to have shampoo and body wash provided. Neighborhood is clean and well maintained.DC near the mall is pricey. This place tacked on a 100 cleaning fee. Bringing the price up to over 400 for two nights.
The apartment is very welcoming and well stocked. It is two blocks from the Eastern Market metro station with great availability to all areas from the airport to Silver Springs including the entire Smithsonian complex with good restaurants. Alex is both flexible and kind. We would like to have met him.
The location has to be the main reason to stay here! The neighborhood is unique with architecture, gardens, and lifestyles. There are plenty of food and beverage options all within walking distance. If you plan to bike, this is a perfect spot-bike lanes are in abundance with monuments and such all within a 5-20 minute bike ride depending what part of town you're going to. Parking could be a challenge-I had good luck with a street spot right out front-and no ticket. The communication with Alex was swift and detailed. Ask anything and expect a prompt response.

The bed was fine. However, multiple dishes that were put away in the cabinet were still stained and dirty. Had to wash my dishes before using them. My biggest issue and what ruined my trip was the dryer. It said in their binder that it worked. I was able to use the washer just fine, but then the dryer was not working. I called the host, messaged the host, and there was no response. I contacted customer support and only after they called the host did he message me back. However he only responded once and wasn’t any help. If the communication was better maybe I wouldn’t be as upset about the dryer and dishes. Walking around with wet clothes in a city you’re unfamiliar with trying to find a laundromat to use that isn’t vacated is irritating.
The rental was very clean and was located super close to lots of bars, shopping and popular attractions like the Smithsonians and national monuments. For the price it was a steal of a deal honestly. Some things to keep in mind though would be that the apt upstairs has at least one child that wakes up around 7am and runs around the apt for about an hour. We stayed 3 nights and the noise woke us up each morning and it was loud enough that we couldnt just ignore it. Another thing that we ran into was that their were no trash bags in the entire apt. We ended up just using a big paper bag that we came with to use for trash. The last thing is that the Matt in the shower seemed a bit questionable. If you are cautious about your feet I'd definitely recommend bringing shower shoes. Other that that though the apt was very comfortable and we had a great stay.
We had an excellent stay. There are a few things that need to be updated and we left a list of what we thought- it seems to have been used often. Great location
My brother and I have always wanted to visit Washington, DC, and this rental was the perfect place to stay! The location is fantastic — just two blocks from the Metro, making it incredibly easy to get anywhere in the city. Trader Joe’s is also very close, which made it convenient to grab groceries for quick meals. Eastern Market is within walking distance as well, and we had the best breakfast of our trip there. The weekend farmers market was in full swing and so enjoyable to walk through. The rental itself was very clean and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable, and my brother said the pull-out couch was quite comfortable too. The shower always had hot water on demand, which we really appreciated after long days of exploring. The only minor issue we encountered was with the washer and dryer. The washer door needed a little maneuvering to close properly, and the dryer unfortunately did not work. We reached out to Alex and John, and they were very responsive and apologetic. Air-drying our clothes worked just fine and didn’t take long. The neighborhood felt very clean and welcoming, and coming from rural Minnesota, we felt very safe the entire time. If we return to DC, we would definitely stay here again. 10/10 recommend!
The location of this property is excellent. However, I was disappointed in the property for these reasons: 1)It had a lockbox with two keys in it that had to be used upon entering and exiting the property, as opposed to a digital keypad. This was probably because an iron gate was needed due to the door being one with window panes.2)The window paned door had NO window dressing for a door with window panes from top to bottom of the door, so anyone could see into the property. 3) The carpets in the living area and hall/bedroom are dirty. 4) The long closet in the hallway was useless since it had items stacked on the floor, preventing one from being able to hang clothes.5) The bathroom and linen closet in the bathroom have black mold or mold-like edges, as well as there was a used washcloth on the floor of the linen closet.6) The lighting is dim. 7) The light fixture mounted on the bricks outside the door is broken. The fix was a dim motion light attached to the underneath of the upper unit's exterior stairs. The light did not give off light early enough to feel confident about taking the stairs down to the door (basement unit) at night.8) There are two window unit air conditioners that did cool sufficiently when on, but you are asked to turn them off when not in the unit. This seems an unreasonable ask when the outside temps are in the upper 80s/lower 90s.9) The walls have many marks on them that can be cleaned with a magic eraser, but in reality they need to be painted
Location, good bed and shower made up for being in a basement apartment. Will come again!

I had a fantastic experience, FYI if you are planning to sleep in, invest in some noise cancelling headphones (the bedroom is right under an area where children are running around at the crack of dawn)
This place is located close to all the visitor attraction in Washington DC. It is a great place to stay when jumping off to the capital city and all the attractions in that area. DC has really good Metro Transit and a train stop is only two blocks from this place which makes it easy to jump and go.
Good location, apartment was in good working order, would recommend going there!

Eastern Market and Trader Joes were just around the corner, and bus routes were close. The checkin and checkout instructions were clear and the place was clean and matched the pictures.
Nice place with everything you need to be comfortable. The location was perfect. Just steps away from Eastern Market, Metro and plenty of Restaurants, and shops. Great neighborhood with easy access for exploring DC. You can even walk from there to the Capitol and to the National Mall.
