Glacier Nat'l Park A-frame w/ hot tub- Flattop Mountain A-Frame, GNP basecamp!
You'll love this Glacier National Park A-frame basecamp! Located just 7 miles from the western entrance of the Going-to-the-sun Road, this brand new cabin features a wonderful rustic feel with modern touches. Completely finished in locally-sourced aspen, you'll cherish the mornings waking up with coffee in the handmade Adirondack chairs to the rising sun shining on Teakettle Mountain. Escape the elements on the covered porch, or drink in the rain from a seat in the shared hottub.
The A-Frame is 18'x24' with a 6' covered porch and a small kick-out that houses the downstairs bedroom. Parking is shared with other guests and about a 75 meter meandering walk from the cabin- please come prepared for hauling your suitcase in the hand cart that we provide. Enter the cabin from the porch, open the glass door to the interior beauty of locally-sourced aspen. The kitchen is well-equipped for all meals and cooking, with built-in cooktop, microwave, toaster, and under-the-counter refrigerator. We provide spices, oil, utensils, cookware, plates and bowls. The downstairs bedroom is cozy with a queen-size memory foam mattress. Additionally, a steep ladder leads to a sleeping loft where you can sleep on a wonderfully cozy memory foam mattress surrounded by the local aspen. Downstairs there is a small, full bathroom with everything you need to refresh after an adventure in the park. Outside is an acre yard shared with other guests in the house (ElkView) and neighboring A-Frame (ElkCalf Mountain). Tucked behind Flattop is a hot tub shared with guests at ElkCalf. Plan on an evening dip to enjoy the stars, or borrow from our playbook and plan your trip in warmth while the kids sleep in! There is a separate propane grill for each cabin and a communal firepit area for evening recreation. Don't forget to keep your eyes and ears open for elk- the animals from the ranch next door make frequent visits to the area faced by the cabin. Wi-fi can be spotty but is generally useful. It can sometimes be out for a couple of seconds or even up to a day or two- so please plan accordingly.

Overall was a very nice place to stay. Kitchenette could've been stocked a little better. Pepper shaker empty and no real cooking utensils but easily made do. Location couldn't be beat

Beautiful A frame that accommodated my daughter and I. Incredibly clean and beds were amazing. Kitchen had all we needed and Chiron was very nice. Great communication with the host.
Beautiful little cabin that was a perfect location for us! It’s right outside Glacier National Park and only about 15 minutes from the western park entrance.

We very much enjoyed our time at the A frame while visiting Glacier National park! It had everything we needed, felt like home, and we appreciated the bear spray for visitor use. The house was well built and the area felt secluded and private, even with other cabins close by. It was a convenient base camp for the park, being only about 7 minutes away from the west entrance. We had such an amazing time at Glacier, and this little house added to the magic of the whole experience! We wish we could stay forever.
Location was perfect for visiting West Glacier - super close to Park entrance. Everything was very clean. Hot tub was a nice benefit after walking/hiking. Sleeping spaces were comfortable. Kitchenette and bathroom were tight spaces but usable. Not a lot of room for 4 adults (one who was 5'6") but had a fun yard, fire pit, and great deck for chilling out on. Had lots of helpful maps and books. Close to many fun dining and grocery options.

Cabin is very tiny not suitable for 4 adults. Water in shower builds up and gets cold very quickly.
Cute A-frame. Maybe 8 miles from West Glacier. Tucked back in your own little nook of peacefulness.

Great location!
This little property has a great location. Only 6 miles to the West entrance of Glacier National Park. Although we didn’t spend much time there other than sleeping and our mornings before heading out and after dinner, with four adults it is very tight. We would’ve loved a coffee maker and some coffee and even some napkins or a roll of paper towels. There was none of that. However, we did enjoy the hot tub. A few special touches would have been nice.

Yes, the cabin is relatively small! A small family is generally a good bet, but multiple older couples might be tight since one couple would need to sleep in the loft. We do have a french press coffee maker, but no drip machine, and do not provide coffee or napkins.

Too much money for such a small place.
Property wasn’t as clean as it should be! Mentioned to owners but nothing was initiated and you don’t want someone cleaning after you’ve moved yourself in! Ants were a problem as well! I would rent this place again! I left it cleaner than I received for sure!

Erika messaged upon check in and said there was "some dust in the shower". We immediately responded and asked if she'd like our cleaner to drop by to check it out and received no response. We are very upfront about the size of our cabins in pictures and description. They are small spaces built by hand to be a springboard for your big adventures! We agree prices in the area are high, but what else can be expected in an area of few homes with 3+ million summer visitors.
The cabin was truly beautiful, clean, and just what we wanted as a "home base" for exploring the National Park. We can't wait to come back and bring our kids who we know will adore sleeping in the loft.

Hi, I'm Nate. My wife Chelsea and I live and work as scientists just outside of Glacier National Park, and just finished building our cabins and our house from the ground-up with our own four hands (2022!). In effort to give credit where credit is due, we have also enlisted the expert assistance of our young children, tool belts and all. Why they chose this property
Hiker's Haven is a fantastic basecamp for adventures into Glacier, it's why we moved here in the first place!
What makes this property unique
Location, location, location! Why battle the crowds on your way to the park when you can beat them there?
