The Marlin Arms is also conveniently located within walking distance of some of South Padre’s most iconic eateries and attractions, including Louie’s Backyard and Gravity Park. Take a dip in the shared pool open year-round, which boasts its own panoramic views of the Laguna Madre Bay. This complex also offers its own private fishing dock and boat slip.

Bayside Condo
Loved the location and the layout of the condo. Having king size beds and 3 full baths is a bonus!
Would have loved to enjoy the sunset by the pool if there were tables and chairs out by pier. Additional Bbq pits for guests to use would also be nice.

It’s a cute condo with enough sleeping space. It is a little outdated, but it looks like most places in the area look the same. The condo had a couple of fans which was a plus because we tend to be a little hot nature. We only wish there were blankets available for the pullout sofa. Overall, it was a great experience.
Enjoyed the overall location. Restaurants and bars were within walking distance.

Big spacious condo,very convenient to everything. Fireworks so near over the bay and next to the entertainment district. Other than the parking it's a great stay.
At first glance of the building we were not too sure about our booking. The elevator is broken, making it difficult to haul all of your belongings to the very top floor in the heat. Based off previous reviews from other customers, I was hoping that the carpet and couch cleanness was resolved, but it wasn’t. The curtains had stains all over them (blackout curtains would be a plus) and so did the bed spread. The highlights were the fishing pier and the pool with a beautiful view of the bay!

Upon arrival at 4p checkin, my brother and i arrived in two separate vehicles. He parked at assinged parking #9 and i parked across the street. The condo was still being cleaned at 4p, my brother went downstairs to grabbed luggage, as he returned i went to my truck to grab luggage just to notice my truck was towed away. It cost me 277 to get my truck out of impound. The condo was clean and ready to move in by 435p.

Do not stay here! Pictures are misleading. Carpets were nasty with stains and frayed edges. Sheets in one bedroom had not been changed (dirty). Could hardly open the patio door. Towel bar broken in one bathroom. Light out in one bathroom (maintenance replaced it). Ants in kitchen (maintenance came to spray and clean). When we advised the host that we could not stay in the rundown condo, we were not offered any restitution. Even after reporting this to Vacasa, only a very small refund was offered.

Pool, fishing and fireworks
I enjoyed seeing sunset from bayside pool, fishing dock with green fishing light and fish cleaning station. Outdoor grill and seating as well as spacious interior and adsigned parking spot in the heart of the entertainment district.
We chose this because of it's proximity to the bay and the surrounding restaurants and venues. It did not disappoint. The only issue we had was with the gate, however we figured out how to finally open it! It was a great stay and we will be looking forward to staying here again.

Too many issues
We found a cockroach infestation, there are ants all inside the apartment. One TV does not turn on, another cannot have the volume turned up. One bathroom sink is clogged.

Vacasa has 4pm check in and 10qm check out .. unacceptable..industry is getting worse each year and we pay more to get less each year.. no early check in option although the unit was not rented.. no electricity in restroom.. carpet in bedrooms are old and dirty although the unit layout is great .. dated and not kept up .. would expect more from a corporate entity like Vacasa considering the way they continue to gouge their customers

Water not working construction noise
Water was not working for hours without a notice...then jackhammers noise from 7am till 5pm also no notice of construction...was not the vacation I was looking for we left early due to no water...I usually book with vacasa but this trip was ruined so I rate this trip 1 star

Elevator to 3d floor did not work, so it's a walk up. Pool is nasty with mold and mildew and stagnant water. Fridge in the condo smelled of fish so we couldn't use the fridge or freezer and had to go get coolers to keep our stuff cold. Unit was not maintained as towel rods were missing and on the floor, vacuuming was incomplete and cigars were left on the balcony. Not a nice experience.

My wife and I really enjoyed our month long stay in this property. The property is nice and big with two bedrooms and three bathrooms. We have been wintering in Florida and last year in Hawaii, but this year decided to try South Padre Island. We were not disappointed.
We had a minor glitch at the beginning as we were checking in on a Sunday. There was supposed to be a packet with our parking passes and the key to the front door of the complex in a lock box by the office. When we got there there was no packet, however, after a couple of phone calls, a gentleman showed up within 15 minutes and gave us a key and our parking passes.
The only other minor problem was the sliding glass door in the common area was broken on the track. It was very difficult to open and shut down.
These little problems were offset by the great location by wonderful restaurants and bars. We spent almost every night down on the dock which is just a outside the back door overlooking to be and the beautiful sunsets.
We have already signed up again for next year.
