Beautiful house we were in town for a wedding so did not have time to enjoy all of the luxuries of the house and Beautiful lake. It seemed like the house was equipped with every thing you might need. So thank you. We would gladly return
The property itself was beautiful- Hunter was a great host. AC had a slight leak in the master but he was quick to communicate with me when I found it. The kayaks, paddle boards, hot tub, game room and every other feature we could use we did (except the boat). My hubby and I will be back on our own for a weekend hideaway! I may have forgotten one of our life jackets there
Loved our stay here. Plenty of room for our family of 6, but not so big that you loose that cozy togetherness feel. Fun games including hoops, workout area, beautiful views; we loved the fireplace and sauna. Easy drive to Hermantown and Duluth too.
Beautiful location - the lake was great and our family enjoyed the kayaks and canoe. The house is unique with the loft layout and bunk room - it was perfect for our family of six. We appreciated the games and activities that were provided and overall had a great time. We had some concerns with the overall cleanliness and insects in the bathroom, but our biggest issue was that when we arrived we found that the air conditioner in the main house was disassembled and parts and tools were on the floor. I reached out to Hunter who apologized, but I feel that this was a pretty major issue that should have been communicated in advance. If the temperatures had not dropped significantly the first night we arrived, it would have been uncomfortably hot in the main bedroom in the loft.Overall we did enjoy the property and had a great time with our family, but just wanted to share the areas that could have improved.

This house has an unconventional layout, and I wouldn’t recommend for mixed household groups or families with children under 5. The primary bedroom (and bathroom!) are part of the loft (open ceiling and open wall), so there’s no privacy to the rest of the house. It’s also up a tight spiral staircase. The bunk bed room in the FROG is a ways from the closest bathroom and would be a tough distance from parents to young kids. While technically clean, it was lacking the polish usually seen in professionally cleaned rentals and there were many junk piles inside and around the house - dirty laundry, unfinished projects, opened personal beverages in the fridge (ie not just shareable condiments), etc. That being said, it was spacious and had warm, comfortable accommodations and thoughtful coffee options. We enjoyed the kayaks on the small lake, dock, views, and fire pit on a beautiful fall weekend. We used it as home base for a 1hr drive to Gooseberry and 30 min to Canal Park area of Duluth. It’s a bit remote and we woke to gunshots in the early mornings both days (no blame to the owner, just a warning to other renters who might be alarmed by this).Checkin/checkout was simple and quick. We had no issues to communicate with the owner while there, but his responses before and after the trip were courteous and timely.
We came for a weekend stay while exploring the Duluth area. Loved the seclusion by the lake and the ambiance it provided. Hunter was easy to contact for all of our questions about our stay. We would definitely recommend this place!
Thank you Hunter! Enjoyed the house very much. Despite the weather, we enjoyed kayaking. Absolutely loved the basketball game. We would definitely stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay. It was nice that the kids had half the house for them and the adults had the other half of the house since the kids room is above the garage that is the game room. The house is well stocked with games, amenities and anything you could need.
The property was absolutely gorgeous and the layout was super cool. Our kids had a fabulous time and them having their own space was amazing. We look forward to hopefully coming back in the future.
This property was perfect for our celebration getaway. Exceptionally clean with so many extras! Beautiful kitchen ware, comfy furniture, many nature views, beautiful fire ring and fun kayaks, not to mention lawn and board games. We all loved this destination.
We came for my cousin’s bachelorette. We had so much fun relaxing by the lake, canoeing, and playing games together. The house was clean and had all the essentials for a fun weekend (even croquet!) I’d highly recommend this stay and will definitely come back if time allows.
Six of us stayed here for a girl’s weekend. We had a lovely time, loved the space and the fact that the house is right on the water. Check-in and check-out was super easy and there is a booklet there with wifi passwords, instructions for the tv and various other things. I will say, the batteries to the remote(s) for the sleep number bed in the loft bedroom died almost immediately the first night and the two who shared that bed did not sleep well because of that. (We couldn't find any batteries so we bought and put new ones in the second night and it was much better after that). The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and pots and pans for cooking.
We utilized both the kayaks and the inflatable tubes provided and enjoyed the lake as much as we could during our stay. We would definitely stay here again and recommend!
We loved our stay! The sandy beach was great for the kids, and they had fun fishing right off the dock. We really enjoyed the kayak and paddle boards. Inside, the kitchen was well-stocked, beds were comfortable, and we loved the coffee station! We would stay here again!
The property has great access to the lake for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and playing in the sand.
If you are traveling with small children there's a few good fyi's: there's a spiral staircase going up to the lofted master bedroom. Also, the room with the bunk beds is on the other side of the house from the lofted master. If your small ones need you in the middle of the night, it's a bit of a trek.
Otherwise, lots to take advantage of with the lake & outdoor amenities!
Perfect place to stay for our wedding weekend. Highly recommend!
