House had absolutely amazing views to sit on porch and the peace and quiet of the mountains!! The screened in porch was so nice to keep away the bugs and enjoy the views. Had lots of space for all family members to spread out and relax. Beds were very comfortable and pillows were also comfortable. Was provided all the essentials. Overall a good stay. A few things for feedback:1. Hot tub is a blow-up hot tub that was little confusing to get to work and wasnt heated up when got to house. So water was to cold to get in. Also it kept making the plug trigger to make it have to be reset to turn the power back on. However once the tub did get heated to 97 degrees after 7 hours was able to enjoy it and the views from it are wonderful. 2. The fire pit is down a very steep hill with unstable steps and the railing is an unstable piece of wood that really needs fixed as its kind of dangerous to get down to the fire pit3. The roku was broken in the basement so the kids couldn't watch tv in the play area.4. Ice trays in the freezer would be nice so could have ice for drinks since the fridge doesnt make ice.
House was better than we anticipated. Views were amazing. House was comfortable and had all we needed. Hot tub was an extra bonus; easy to use. I highly recommend staying here. We will again
Communication and courteousness with the owner were very nice. However, the house is definitely not be big enough for 8 people unless 4 of them were children. Mattresses and couches were too hard and uncomfortable. The lighting with the variety of LED bulbs was depressing. Might want to hire a new cleaning person as crumbs and dead flies were under the chairs and tables. Btw, throw away that white coffee maker that’s in the cabinet. The carafe does not go with the machine and it made a big mess. Oh and the fuzball table is messed up. Again, sorry, but a few simple updates would make this house worth the money.

This location was incredible, and the views just amazing. All in all, it was a nice little stay for our friend group - cozy and comfortable. Not a 5-star resort, but we didn't expect it to be, and it perfectly worked for what we had in mind. Strolled through downtown Waynesville, stopped in for some shops and eating nearby, went hiking and saw some incredible sights of the mountain ranges. We went in autumn when the leaves were changing, and that was a perfect time to take the trip and see all the variety of color rolling across the mountains.
Earlier reviews said there wasn't much in the way of cookware, but someone must have added more because we didn't have a problem with that. The only thing I'd note is if you don't live in an area with hills and you don't have a car that does well with really steep inclines, be prepared, or maybe rent a different vehicle. Of course it's up in the mountains, so it's silly to expect anything else, but those roads are definitely narrow and VERY steep. Also in the latter part of the trip, the house was swarmed (in a very literal way) by ladybugs. It was the season, so probably not much to do about that. But if for some reason you have a phobia of insects, well. This is as cozy and secluded as the description says, and you should be prepared for wildlife.
We came down to Maggie Valley to honor my late husband. We were looking for a place in the mountains. We found a beautiful view at Dee’s Place. The bottom floor was great for the kids! The bunks, games and huge TV was wonderful. The place was cute and worked well for us as we were out hiking every day and were able to bring the pups along. If I were the owners, I’d update the couches in the main living room as they are pretty uncomfortable and after hiking all day, it would be nice to relax on the couch. The views from the cabin are absolutely stunning from the living room, main bedroom and out both sliders in the downstairs kids/rec room. The cleaning crew could do a little better. I wasn’t sure the shower curtain had been washed in the hall bath and it just needed it’s annual cleaning, in my opinion. It was clean enough, we’d stay there again though.
We enjoyed this lovely home. We arrived without issue. The road up is steep, but wide and paved. The property was clean and fresh with ample bath, kitchen, and laundry supplies. The living room is light and spacious with a beautiful view of the valley and facing mountains. Kitchen is well stocked. Do remember to keep cycling ice through trays or bring a bag. Beds were very firm, which was perfect for us. We enjoyed the hot tub and view every day. And, the fire pit is great. The yard is quit steep, so be mindful if you have quests with any mobility issues. Lots of board games and TV options available, but we were there for short hikes, great views and relaxation. Would highly recommend
Nicely decorated and modern. Views were great. Enjoy the deck with hot tub. A bit of a drive to Waynesville and/or GSMNP. Beginning or end of Blue Ridge Parkway was very close. Overall as described in vrbo.
The view from the property was spectacular and the location decent. We enjoyed the covered and screened in deck and the hot tub (inflatable, no seats) immensely. There were a view things that could be overlooked with no issue, like the basement soor sticking and the Foosball being somewhat shaky, but we were disappointed to find some hair (pet and human) in the master bedroom sheets. For that reason I removed one star. However, there were ample linens and soaps provided for the laundry so we would stay again regardless if we come to that area. The view truly was spectacular!

It was just my husband and me looking for a quiet, relaxing time. This house was perfect for that with a screened in porch that has a beautiful view of a valley & mountains, and a hot tub. The string lights create an ambient glow in the evening. The lower level was a great place for watching movies and eating popcorn on the giant beanbag. There is a foosball table but we weren't interested in that. The only thing the house needs is more bakeware. There are pots and pans but not really anything that can go in the oven. We did donate one rectangle pan and a couple of cooking utensils. Otherwise, the kitchen is well stocked with dishes and glasses. The other thing to know is that there is no ice maker and only 2 ice trays. We bought a bag of ice. We would certainly stay here again.
