About this property

Secluded Mtn Cabin w/Hot Tub + Game Room + Views!

Lose yourself in spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains from the covered decks of Little Pond Cabin. Situated at over 3700 ft elevation in an upscale gated mountain community, the nights are cool and perfect for unwinding in the hot tub (stargazing is amazing, too!) or gathering around the fire pit. Head to the game room for a little spirited competition, or stream a movie on one of the Roku-enabled flat screen TVs.

Easy drive to Bryson City, NOC, Fontana...

Comfortably sleep 6 and welcome up to 10 in this gorgeous 3 bedroom / 2.5 bath log cabin plus converted detached garage (considered a 4th bedroom with two sets of bunks and game room).

The main bedroom (king) is on the lower level and features a newly-renovated en suite bathroom. A private deck is accessible from this room--perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or an evening chat.

The second lower level bedroom provides two twin beds.

A half-bath on the lower level is conveniently located for access from common areas and the detached game room.

A third bedroom (king) is on the upper level, along with the second full bath. There is also an upper level landing that serves as a reading nook.

The main living area is an open concept design with kitchen, dining area and living room flowing together seamlessly--perfect for gathering your group while prepping meals in the fully equipped kitchen (with stainless appliances and granite countertops).

The living room features a stone wood burning fireplace, and a wall of windows paints an ever-changing tapestry of mountain views.

Multiple covered decks host rocking chairs (facing long range mountain views), a gas grill and picnic table for outdoor meals.

Stairs from the main deck lead down to an open patio space where the hot tub enhances the mountain viewing experience. Additional stairs lead to the fire pit and a small creek and pond water feature (which is currently under re-development).

The detached two-car garage has been converted to a game room and fourth bedroom with additional beds. Here you'll find shuffleboard, foosball, darts, a multi-cade (multiple arcade games on a single machine), poker table, and various board games. Two sets of twin bunks in the game room brings the total Little Pond bed count to 8 [2 kings + 6 twins]. A split-unit A/C system provides heating and cooling for the game room. There's no bathroom in the game room, but it's a short walk to the half-bath in the main cabin.

The community offers a pavilion with covered seating space, wood burning fireplace, charcoal/wood grill and pickleball court. There are also hiking trails within the community that let you explore the local mountain terrain and streams.

An experience
Property was hard to locate, no lighting, sign covered by over grown bushes, no cell reception, electrical issues in master, cleaning was unacceptable I spent 1hour just cleaning the stove alone. The exhaust fan were full of lint which is a fire hazard and the fireplace was not cleaned. Had a few bug in house roaches that I killed. The deck on jacuzzi is falling apart and a post on deck by grill is very loose. So my experience at house was stressful for me. I paid a lot of money and unfortunately it wasn’t worth it to be honest.

Fantastic cabin
From the amazing views to the game room, we had a great time over a long weekend. The location of the hot tub and the fire pit are particular high points - just an excellent layout of the entire property, all to take advantage of a 1st-class view! Make sure to wake early to enjoy how the views change over the course of the day - incredible!

Secluded getaway does not disappoint
Our family really enjoyed this quiet getaway on the south end of the National Park, away from the touristy area of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The view from the back deck/hot tub is absolutely gorgeous. The game room was a hit with our 3 teenage sons after a long day of hiking or when the occasional rain shower popped up. It is clean, spacious, well equipped with amenities, and suited our needs for the long weekend. Communication with the property owner was very positive, as well.

I’ve been visiting Bryson City and the Nantahala Gorge areas for over 20 years. My first experience was an ill-advised snowy spring break camping trip to Smokemont and Deep Creek (way) back in college. I’ve continued visiting through the years and now enjoy the area with my wife and son. We love it so much that we recently bought an absolutely gorgeous cabin and hope to share the experience with as many people as possible!

Why they chose this property

Once we decided we wanted a go-to vacation home in the mountains, we immediately knew the Bryson City area would be the place. It didn't take long to fall in love with Little Pond. It's the perfect combination of area, view, relaxation and side project as we slowly improve the home and grounds. We can't wait to share it!

What makes this property unique

Little Pond Cabin is located in an upscale mountain community a short drive to Bryson City. The cabin is secluded with no nearby neighbors to interrupt your mountain escape. The hot tub is soothing after a long day of hiking, and without city lights to pollute the night sky, the stargazing is incredible. The fire pit is perfect for evening s'mores or just unwinding and letting your mind wander as you stare into the flames. There's a small creek and pond water feature next to the fire pit area; the sound of trickling water adds to the ambiance. And the two-car garage converted to game room and additional sleeping area is sure to provide hours of entertainment.
