Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
Report any damaged or extremely soiled linens / towels. As this will help us replace them for next guests
Please take trash bins to the street if exiting on a Sunday
Lock door facing the canal & Lock kitchen door by pressing the “Padlock” icon on keyless entry. DO NOT lock the door knob.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Wonderful house, good communication and just really lovely location to relax, fish or launch from. Last house on the street with a private dock right on the canal. Firepit with hardwood that we grilled dinner over.

This was a very lovely and comfortable house, perfect for our family. It was right on a canal and my son enjoyed fishing. We walked to the beach and we enjoyed the neighborhood.

Great Trip

The house worked great for my husband, parents, 20 month old and myself. The space was great andd very close to things to do but far enough away to relax. Would definitely come back for another vacation.

We loved the location, it is kind of tucked away off the main road & quiet. The canal was great for bird watching & sunset watching. We did use the firepit because the weather was cold!! The layout of the house was perfect….we will stay here again!

Best beach house ever!

We are David and Darla Bermeo, a Mortgage broker and Microbiologist, respectively, residing here in North Carolina.
We have 4 beautiful children, all grown, except for our little Oscar (10yr). When we’re not running around with family chores, we love to go to Oak Island Beach (OKI). Here you find us fishing and kayaking on the canal or eating at one of the awesome restaurants in and around OKI. As a couple, David and I are quite the “Salsa-Duo” (David is native Colombian) who love to visit every Salsa club we can find!

We have a motto, “It’s all apart of the journey “.

We hope to make this part of your journey a memorable tranquil experience you’ll want to revisit again and again….

Oak Island is a very unique and relaxing area. Less touristy and tranquil. There is a good mix of activities and restaurants to keep you busy on the Island. Why I chose this property and area is due to the view from the back porch. On the deck it just screams a "Nicholas Sparks" novel.
