If you look for nice, rustic property where your kids can run free and explore the nature this one is for you. Morning coffee on the back deck and deers passing by was big plus.

The cabin was cozy and provided plenty of room. It does not have a lake view. We tried to walk to where we thought the lake might be, but were unsuccessful. The kitchen, living room, and bathroom were clean, but bedrooms had mouse and squirrel dropping on bedding. We had to wash bedding before we could sleep. We did contact host about it-they said they would contact pest control, but didn't offer any compensation. The other disapointment was not being able to flush toilet paper. This is something we would have liked to have known ahead of time. We were not able to sign guest book as it was no where to be found. When I inquired about it the question was ignored. If you are looking for a cabin in the middle of no where this is the place to rent. We enjoyed the peace and privacy.

Nice place!
Nice quiet location. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again for sure!
We loved everything about the Log Cabin at Nolin Lake. The cabin felt very cozy yet had plenty of room for a family of 12. The kitchen was well equipped, had everything we needed and then some. Had plenty for kids to do, video and board games, puzzles and an outdoor rope swing. Loved sitting on the back porch, with plenty of seating. Would have been fun to use the fire ring, but we had 90 degree days. Convenient in that it had a restroom on every floor. Would definitely like to come back someday.
The cabin was beautiful just lake access was really far away from the cabin actually had to drive a while to get to the lake but everything else was wonderful
Fit 10 people more than comfortably. If you’re expecting to be on a lake, pleas read reviews. It’s nearby and we went fishing but wouldn’t call a lake view. We knew that going in and love the experience.

Beautiful and away from it all
Cozy and away from it all. Definitely recommend if you want peace and quiet. Mammoth Cave is an easy drive. Cell phone connectivity is spotty so be prepared for that.

Great place with lots of space!!
We really enjoyed our stay and enjoyed sitting in the back deck in the morning. However, at night some of the rooms were dark since there were only lamps to use. Can sleep a lot of people and with three bathrooms can get ready quickly. Great place to rent and would highly recommmend it!!!!
We had a really enjoyable long weekend with our kids and grandkids - they loved the house and the fire pit. Everything was very clean and organized - we could have used a little better lighting in the kitchen when cooking - but it did not keep us from having a great time. It was a terrific place to come home to after sightseeing all day. We hope to be able to enjoy this cabin again one day soon
Great secluded location and plenty of space for a group to stay for a bit. Our 10 year old loved that there was games, books and the wii. It was super nice having access to a washer and dryer as we definitely used them. Basement layout was perfect for a small family although the bed wasn't comfortable it served it's purpose. Owner was great with communicating! Would definitely stay again!
From the booking until the day we left everything went so smoothly. This home is a great retreat, not far from the caves or boating and we had an excellent time being together as a family. There were 12 of us:adults, little children and two babies and we had a fabulous time. Everything was there for us.The homeowner was super efficient in checking in with us and making sure everything in place. He was super kind. Great to work with. The home is beautiful. We didn't get to enjoy the outside of the home as much as our activities during the day kept us away, but it was a perfect retreat for the family of 12 that we had. The furniture and the home atmosphere was super comfortable and very cozy. We all had a super great time just being there together. It was the perfect place to enjoy each other's company and love.
Very comfortable and serene setting. We did think the lake was closer though since the title reads "Lakefront Log Cabin". It is not "Lakefront". It is about a 5 minute walk.

Property was very nice. Roomy and well stocked. Great if you want something very remote - it is really in the middle of nowhere! Disappointed that there really was no lake view and access was very muddy path with no dock or swimming. Had a wonderful experience renting a boat at the Wax Marina - highly recommended! Host was easy to communicate with

Stayed there for four days and loved it. Quiet private property with 4 bedrooms, three baths and a great overall home. Clean and crisp..visited the corvette museum and mammoth cave while there. Loves the country roads and scenery.. great fir pit.. camp fires every night. Had to hunt for our own wood. . Beautiful! .. from plainfield Illinois. .

The cabin was nice for 6 adults. To say it is a cabin on a lake is a stretch. We were not able to get to the nice cove recommend due to a tree blocking access. The other access was pretty grown up with weeds. The marina was close so we rented a pontoon for a day which was nice. Mammoth cave was close too so we spent time there as well as Bowling Green. Spending time with family in the cabin was great. Tony was easy to reach if we needed anything.

Greyson Nolin Lake
Cabin was mostly clean for a lake cabin but we were not advised till arrival that no paper products (including toliet paper) could be used in the septic system. ALso while we were not in the cabin very much, there were no directions on how to use the television, it would turn on but we could not cast or use the Wii player. Directions would of been nice
The cabin was inviting and relaxing. Only a few issues, the dishwasher was left with a good bit of food debris in it so had to run a cycle empty before using. Also had a large amount of mildew/mold on shower curtain on basement level. Went and bought one cause no one wanted to use until I did. Other than that it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
I do advise rick spray if going to take trail to lake.

This is a great rustic cabin. Check in was easy.. directions were accurate. It is about a 40 minute drive to all the Mammoth Cave activities, but quiet and peaceful. There is no internet. There are 3 full bathrooms; however, you can only flush toilet paper in one of them… not ideal for anyone, but especially if you have kids in your party.. not sure knowing that would have changed our plans, but feel it’s good to know on the front end.
Kitchen is well equipped. Plenty of towels and wash cloths for our group of 7. Tons of games and dvds available for use.

My miserable weekend
Plumbing problems. Mice. HVAC in horrible condition (wrong size filter). Trash by the entrance. Clogged shower drains. Mold in basement (I have pictures if anyone is interested). I could say a lot more about this place but I’m trying to erase it from my memory

Beautiful Cabin in the Woods
We loved the rustic cabin feel. It was very quiet there. I was very happy to see the kitchen fully stocked with good pots and pans (no peeling non-stick pans) and good knives. We were looking forward to doing some grilling however, and noticed on the reservation papers that there was a charcoal grill at the cabin and to bring charcoal. Unfortunately, there was no charcoal grill. There was a gas grill but the gas tank was empty. Also, 2 of the bedrooms upstairs did not have curtains, which was uncomfortable. There are little things that could be done to make the cabin cozier: curtains in all the bedrooms, charcoal grill or gas tank filled, and also more blankets. Other than these things, it was a beautiful cabin in a very nice area. We enjoyed our time here!

It was ok. We were a grandmother (me), and two daughters and their spouses, and 3 children. The beds were comfortable. The porches nice. Glad there was a grill because it was pretty hot to cook inside. And we were glad to have laundry facilities since our wet clothes didn't dry well in the humidity. We spent most of our indoor time at the table near the kitchen where there was enough light to see and do things. We gave the property manager a list of things that really should be fixed before others stay there like burned out lightbulbs, not enough lights (none overhead in rooms) inside except in the kitchen, lost handle for the dishwasher, broken towel rack, consistent noise from a draining and filling toilet, no curtains or blinds in the master bedroom, missing piece to the microwave, infestation of ants around the firepit, scratched and unusable Wi and video games, not enough forks, bowls, spoons or glasses. With better upkeep, the place is a nice escape into the woods.I'm not sure why the main photo is of the gate to the neighborhood. There seem to be only about 5 houses down the gravel road from the cabin. It is not an exclusive place as the gate might suggest. I have no idea even why there is a gate because the area is remote and down a gravel road. The kitchen is fine as is the eating area. We spent all our indoor time there because the LR was dark, small, and without enough seating given there were only two loveseats.
