Trailboss Cabin near Mammoth Cave at Noble Pine Campground
Make memories at this unique farm stay. A charming, rustic get away for the end of the trail. Enjoy comfort with 3 bedroom/1 bath. Bedroom 1 is updated with king bed, bedroom 2 has 2 twins and bedroom 3 has a queen bed. We use mainly cotton sheets and lightweight quilts so they can be washed and dried easily between guests. We strive for low scent use with non scented detergent and low/unscented cleaners whenever we can. We do use lemon eucalyptus essential oil regularly, so let us know if this is an issue for you so we won’t use it during the clean prior to your stay. There’s a pellet stove for cold days. Mini split a/c + heat in main area, window units in each bedroom and space heaters are supplied for extra comfort as desired. At this farm stay you can visit the goats, horses, chickens, and bunny and maybe give them a provided treat.
Located about 800 feet from Mammoth Cave's Lincoln Trailhead, you're able to bring your own horses to keep at our barn. Despite thorough cleanings, there is a possibility for bugs, because we currently use natural pest solutions in order for our farm to support pollinators. Also, being a farm, sightings of arachnids, insects, and pests may occur. No refunds or cancellation will be issued as such. ***This cabin shares a roof with the campground’s bathrooms. They have exterior only entrances, but there are shared walls just as you’d find at a hotel etc. Local favorites:
The obvious thing to do is visit Mammoth Cave National Park! Lots of hiking in park as close as 800 feet from the campground. Horses are welcome at our campground, we provide stalls and the MCNP trail across the road is horse friendly. There are several tours to choose from if you’re, you may want to choose a couple. We recommend getting tickets in advance as they do sell out. (Visitor center 20-25 minutes via Green River Ferry route, 40 minutes without ferry, check mcnp website for ferry availability)
Trail rides are provided at Double J Stables. (5 minutes) Advance reservation recommended.
Nearby there is Anna’s Kitchen, it’s Amish run, so homecooking, and only couple minutes away. Web Mart makes bbq and other specials to go. Open for the season April -November, The Blue Holler Restaurant serves up German and American fare. Bee spring has KY Rock grill. Bouys at the lodge in Wax Marina is a fun lake view experience (15min).
The Feedmill in Leitchfield (35 min) has good breakfast & lunch & there’s a Mexican restaurant, mi Camino Real, that’s good in that area too. There’s also a Peddler’s Mall in Leitchfield if that interests you.
In Bowling Green (50-55 min) there’s the corvette museum & lost river cave tour if you’re looking for more to do.
Cave city (across the ferry 25 min) has tourist friendly activities including various caves that have been open since the early 1900s. Kayaking tours available down Green River. There are attractions such as Dinosaur World, Kentucky Down Under, & Mammoth Cave Adventure. A favorite stop for me is Leo’s woodworking as you exit the park toward cave city.
I recently went to a cave tour in Horse Cave called hidden river cave (40 min) which was kinda neat. They have antique shops nearby in the little downtown.
10-15 minutes away is an Amish town called Cub Run. They have a couple shops, the Variety Shoppe & Detweilers, which has a small bakery and deli and everything from gardening to furniture. There is a separate hunting & fishing store.

Super comfortable, well equipped for all your needs. Great communication from management leading up to and during our stay as well. The SxS park nearby was a blast and this was the perfect spot to stay.

Good place for Mammoth Cave trip! Friendly Host are always happy to help! And the cabin is really good!
Peaceful and cozy place to stay with close access to Nolan Lake State Park and Mammoth Cave national Park. This place had everything we needed and the host were super responsive and helpful.
The hosts were wonderful. Everything we would’ve needed was there. They left treats for us for the animals and we even got to meet one of their dogs. Cabin was very clean, well stocked and really cute. Would definitely stay there again!
Perfect space with great amenities for the family and well stocked with everything we needed. The kids loved the lights in the one bedroom and giving the horses, goats and chickens treats in the morning! Firewood was always available for fire pit and the host was very easy to talk with/get ahold of if needed. Beautiful house and property.
Trail Boss cabin was a great place to stay, my wife, kids and I had a great time during our 3 day stay there. We spent the days exploring caves and were able to come back to a very relaxed environment on the farm. My kids enjoyed feeding and petting the goats and horses just steps from the cabin’s back door. Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again!
Beautiful property. Amazing Kentucky sunsets. A perfect sport for our family to have our summer vacation. The Trailboss Cabin was perfect for us. Enjoyed the goats and chickens and horses.
We picked this location for it's proximity to Mammoth Cave, and fishing. We also spent one of the days just lounging around playing games, visiting the horses, and finding four leaf clovers. My kids also found a frog and a newt on the property!
We had a wonderful stay, the property had everything we needed and then some! All the small things added up. S'mores kit, free firewood, all the utensils for home cooking, laundry detergent and more! Beautiful property.
We had a great weekend getaway to Noble Pines and Mammoth Cave National Park! The cabin was clean and stocked well. The owner was very friendly, we even got to feed the goats and horses some treats!
This place was super nice and the host really friendly. Our kiddos had the opportunity to pet the animal's and give them treats. Plenty of space and the price was good.
Great location for a nice and quiet getaway. It was nice to sit by the fire and watch the sunset over the hills and relax. The hosts were awesome and very accommodating, we even got to give treats to the goats and horses.
This was a beautiful place to explore the Mammoth Cave area. There are numerous touches that made it feel more like home - cozy reading area, games, a s'mores tray, cocoa packets, sights and scents. The cabins rooms were cozy and welcoming after our days in the caves. Super easy check in and check out. So well appointed that we didn't need to reach out.
Everything we needed. Close proximity to National Park (as long as Green River Ferry is open). Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and we loved watching the horses and goats while drinling our morning coffee!
