Reside in the historic old town tower

In the heart of the picturesque Roman city of Weißenburg is this former defense tower converted into a holiday residence. The tower of the city fortifications from the 14th / 15th Century was expanded in 1860/61 into a residential house for a high-ranking official from Weissenburg.
From 2015 it was comprehensively modernized in around one and a half years with great attention to detail and in close cooperation with the authorities in the preservation of historical monuments. And so it is now available to visitors to the Franconian Lake District as a holiday home

Die Ferienwohnung war sehr sauber und sehr hochwertig eingerichtet. Die Stadt Weißenburg ist eine Reise wert. Es war ein Erlebnisaufenthalt!

Sehr schön und geschmackvoll restauriertes Haus in der Stadtmauer von Weißenburg. Da haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet, aber es gibt auch in Gehweite jede Menge Restaurants von fränkisch bis international.Auch wenn der öffentliche Parkplatz in der Nähe des Hauses stark frequentiert war, gelang es aufgrund der Fluktuation immer, nach kurzer Zeit einen Parkplatz zu bekommen. Schöne Gegend!

Sehr schön hergerichtetes altes Haus mit dazu passender Einrichtung. Stilvolle Holzfußböden und steile Holztreppen, sehr schönes Bad. Gute Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern und tolle Lage zur Altstadt. Alles gut zu Fuß erreichbar.Weißenburg hat uns sehr angenehm überrascht, sehr schöne Altstadt, von zwei Weltkriegen verschont geblieben und wirklich größtenteils liebevoll erhalten.

Eine besondere Location in einer historischen Umgebung. Viele Freiteitmöglichkeiten in der Umgebung. Das Haus bietet ein besonderes Flair. Supernette Vermieterfamilie. Nur die Parkplatzsituation in der Umgebung führt zu kleinen Einschränkungen, da man am Morgen oder vormittags in Weissenburg nur schwer einen Parkplatz findet. Abends ist das kein Problem. Besonderheiten: tolle Ausstattung und grosses Vertrauen der netten Vermieter. Tipps in der Umgebung: Radtour um den Brombachsee, Sommerrodelbahn, Römermuseum. Trotz der Regenrage ein schöner Aufenthalt. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Super Alles sehr sauber und gut eingerichtet

Wir fanden diese Ferienwohnung total außergewöhnlich, super bequem und stilvoll eingerichtet. Einziges Manko, aber auch nachvollziehbar,das knarrende Treppenhaus.Ansonsten gibt es keine Abstriche.

Außergewöhnliche Ferienwohnung in zentraler Lage

Wir haben als Familie knapp eine Woche in Weißenburg verbracht und waren begeistert von der Stadt und der Ferienwohnung. Sie liegt zentral, ist gut erreichbar und bietet sehr viel Platz und Komfort. Sie war mit allem ausgestattet was wir brauchten. Große Empfehlung für ein paar einmalige Tage in Franken!

Historic charm in a great location

We stayed for a few nights. It was very clean and tidy and the host was really friendly 😊Needed a microwave but thats just a small detail. Its in a lively location next to all the facilities. Parking is free in the public car park nearby which sometimes got full.

Toller Turm! Tolle Stadt! Tolle Vermieter!

Liebevoll restaurierter, uriger ehemaliger Wehr-Turm, ideal für ein Paar und beinahe komplett ausgestattet. Supernette Vermieter, welche ein kleines "Problem" auch unkompliziert und schnell lösen. Die malerischen Römerstadt Weißenburg ist ideal für Bummeln, Kultur und Shopping. Die Erreichbarkeit mit der Bahn ist top, ebenso die Nähe zu Nürnberg, Augsburg und sogar München für Tagesausflüge. Aufgrund des Alters des Turmes knarren die Treppenstufen und der Fußboden auch mal, aber, das ahnt man vorher, man bucht ja keinen modernen "Beton-Neubau". Eine Anregung: Vielleicht einen Sichtschutz (Gardine/Plissee) im Bad und der Küche (Seite Eingangstür) anbringen, für dunkle Abende. Das wäre die Kirsche auf der Sahne.

Schönes Domizil in toller Umgebung

Offenbar mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichteter, in hervorragender Lage zur Altstadt gelegener, historischer Altbau. Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen. Aufgrund der Balkenkonstruktion müssen große Menschen sich im Obergeschoss allerdings ständig bücken 😉

Großzügige Unterkunft

Die Unterkunft ist für ein Paar sehr großzügig. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Mit mehreren Personen könnte es aufgrund des Durchgangszimmers, welches dann als Schlafzimmer verwendet werden muss, schwierig werden. Besonders dann, wenn es sich um zwei Paare handelt.
