The BEST vacation house for our family!

First of all, the house is beyond gorgeous (the hosts have thought of EVERYTHING) - but, more importantly, our kids absolutely loved it and had the best time! We stayed mostly at the property, but did venture into Fredericksburg for dinner and ice cream one night. We'll definitely be back!

Wonderful MOMcation

The property is amazing. It was the perfect place to get away for a few days and enjoy the hill country. The house is beautifully designed and close to lots of wineries. The pool/spa was great and easy to use. There are no light blocking curtains so if you plan on sleeping in bring an eye mask, but honestly the sunset/sunrise views are worth it!

Perfect Group Stay!

Albert House covered every detail for our group stay! We booked this trip for our family and it was beyond perfect. The entire home is gorgeous, comfortable, peaceful and easy to enjoy. The property is beautiful and had lots of amenities that my kids enjoyed. We traveled with our young children and the space is very easy to enjoy with littles in tow, which is hard to come by when staying away from home. An added bonus was how comfortable the couches and beds are…will be upgrading my own home now! We will definitely be back!

Wine Country getaway

House was just as advertised and very well setup. The rooms are on opposite 'wings' of the house so getting kids away from adults was easy. Everything is relatively new and updated, and house came with everything one would need, including pool towels. It's set back about 10 minutes from 290 in a very private setting.

Fun weekend girls’ trip

The house was wonderful. It was spacious and beautifully and functionally decorated. It was comfortable for a large group of friends and had everything we needed. We loved the pool, outdoor spaces, and view. It was an easy drive in to Fredericksburg and local wineries. I would definitely stay again. One note: while my group didn’t mind at all because there’s much to do inside and outside the house, if you’re hoping to have lots of television time on your trip this house does not have many.

All you need to get away from it all

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property and could not have been happier with the set up of this well designed home. The home is well stocked with everything you could need to hunker down with friends or family. Unbelievable sunsets can be had by the pool and the hot tub is a nice bonus as the temperature cools a bit in the evening. Very close to wineries and the Albert Dance Hall if you want to get out and about, but the place is so lovely you may just want to stay home. The owners let us know, prior to arriving, there had been some issues from previous guests that they were working on - they were great communicators and everything worked out just great. We enjoyed our stay and would totally stay here again…highly recommend.

Fantastic Girls getaway trip

This property is a hidden gem. This was our 16th annual girls trip to Fredericksburg/Stonewall/Albert area and we had such an amazing time. This house is set up perfectly with an open gathering area and huge beautiful kitchen. The beds were so comfy and linens were heavenly. The pool was a blessing since temperatures were hotter than normal! House is equipped with all the necessities. It sure made our trip extra special with the location being out in the country where we all love to be! Thank you for taking care of the details to make this stay over the top perfect! The owners were amazing and responded immediately when I needed to ask any questions! Would highly recommend this beautiful location!! You won’ be disappointed!!

We are an Austin family who really likes real estate and houses. Albert House is one of 2 high-end rentals we have developed (our other one in Durango, Colorado).

Why they chose this property

We wanted a family home that would allow us to get away on weekends from the hustle and bustle of Austin and we wanted something that was comfortable, stylish, and beautiful on both the inside and out. When we couldn't find exactly what we were looking for - we decided to build it! It took us more than 2 years to build Albert House and we have furnished and stocked the house with utmost attention to detail as if we were stocking it for ourselves (and, yes, we are picky). What attracted us to the location was the the views, the proximity to everything "Hill Country" and, the Oak grove at the top of the hill where we envisioned our kids playing hours on end (and they do). We designed the house as a luxury bunkhouse... minimalist and hardy but beautiful. We love that when we come to Albert House our kids spend so much time outside, no video games or TV, they jump on the trampoline, climb trees, explore, and the teenagers actually play games with us! Albert House is a place for repose and for connecting with friends and family.

What makes this property unique

Nothing beats getting out of town on a Friday night after a hectic week of work, school, sports, and juggling. At first site of the expansive Texas Hill Country, our muscles start to relax. Albert House has thoughtful details that exceed most vacation rentals like the record player, the birding book and binoculars, the well-equipped kitchen with All-Clad cookware and Wustoff cutlery, the trampoline, the giant Jinga and cornhole, the outdoor lounge spaces and fire pit, the outdoor bathtub and shower... the Albert House is a special treat.
