Beautiful house in a great location with a very warm welcome
Excellent well catered for house with three restaurants and a Boulangerie in walking distance. Close to Sarlat and many other fabulous sites in the area.
We spent a fantastic 2 weeks at this property. We took our 2 adult children and 1 teenager and could not find fault with it. The house was beautifully clean and had everything we could possibly require. The area is stunning, the weather was hot and it all made for a perfect holiday.
Wonderful place! Great location in an extremely quaint village surrounding an 800-year-old castle. Close to everything if you have a car. Perfect place, but it could use more comfortable furniture in the living room. But I'd stay there again in a minute!

Hello John
You were right and we have changed all furnitures in the living room and garden saloon.
More confortable, nicer and more guest seats
Best regards
Michel
The location was perfect and the property clean and modern. The showers were really nice and the kitchen very well equipped. It was a little odd not to have a sink in with the water closets but this was minor. It was wonderful to have a patisserie within walking distance as well as a restaurant. We would stay here again.

Beautiful house in a stunning setting, great walks and views, highly recommended!
This stunning house is situated in a truly friendly and very beautiful little village with 3 restaurants and a bakery. Our kids loved the huge garden and we enjoyed river walks from the house. There was plenty to do nearby - Sarlat market, troglodyte dwellings, canoeing and more pretty villages. We had a fabulous time!
The house & the location were ideal. It was spotlessly clean and new. The kitchen was better equipped than my own. The host gave us valuable information about restaurants & places to visit. Everything was wonderful.
The village location was superb. Picturesque. Quiet. Local bar restaurant excellent. Short drive to the river and kayaking opportunities.
The property was more than adequately equipped. Lovely gardens and outdoor relaxing spaces. Thoughtful additions such as bbq.
Lacks air conditioning but provision of fans necessary. More needed for more than 2 bedrooms.
Overall, the gite was clean comfortable and exceeded our expectations.
We loved our time here! The house was the perfect base for exploring the region, and our four-year-old loved playing in the orchard. It was still the off-season during our stay from late March to the beginning of April, so the restaurant in Montfort was closed, as were many others in neighboring towns and villages that serve tourists. We did find plenty of options in Sarlat, just a short drive away. Overall, a fantastic stay!
Every aspect of our booking was excellent. Communication with Michel was speedy and efficient. The house was beautifully clean and had everything we could need. The covered pergola was a blessing as was all the outside furniture. The weather was lovely so the coolness of the house was very welcome. We would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation.
Clean, comfortable, spacious house. Well equipped kitchen, nice large garden. Wifi was sufficient (speed varies between 3 and 60 Mbps) even outside on the terrace. Very quiet, we even saw a deer in the garden our first night. Close to the river Dordogne even-though access is limited near the house but a few kilometer away sufficient beaches. Nice scenery for walks, one starts right behind the garden (8 km).
The house is close to Montfort Castle, in a beautiful and quiet location with a huge garden. It is very well equipped, newly renovated and there are even toys for small children. Many sights and the most beautiful villages of the Perigord Noir are not far away. The ramp down to the house seems a bit narrow at first sight, but even with our big station wagon it was no problem to drive down there. We can recommend the house without any reservations.

great holiday home for the family
In this wonderful holiday home we spent three weeks in summer and enjoyed it very much. The house was very well equipped, nothing missing, with plenty of space in the wardrobes, closets, drawers etc. On the top floor were boxes with building bricks which our children liked a lot. Of course it is always nice to stay in a newly renovated home, but here it was decorated with taste. The view was great, and we enjoyed the huge garden - with ripe peaches and apples. It was als very comfortable to have someone English spoken as local contact person.
We will definitely recommend this holiday home to family and friends.
This is a lovely quiet property in a pretty village with bar/restaurant a very short stroll. It is well equipped, the beds are comfortable and lots of outside space to sit and relax. The bathrooms are lovely with big showers. Small uncomfortable sofa inside. There is no air con and the two fans were incredibly noisy so unusable at night. Take lots of insect repellent as we were bitten mornings, daytime, evening and night on any tiny areas not sprayed. Beaches a drive away, loads of places to visit, we had a lovely week in the property, thank you!
Great house, with all conceivable kitchen appliances, conveniently located near major Perigord sites. The only problem in our stay was the long heat wave which made the four beds on the top floor basically inhabitable. Screens throughout the house would have helped. We bought two large fans that remain there.
This is a beautiful House in a great location just a short walk from the river, patisserie and a lovely bar/restaurant.
The accommodation is beautifully decorated throughout and well equipped.
The driveway down to the property is a little steep which could be difficult for a low car, like mine but overall it didn't cause too much of an issue.
The owners are great, being local and easy to get hold of if needs be.
The only comment I'd make is that due to the excessively hot temperature some of the rooms would benefit from aircon or at least a fan in each bedroom to make the nights more bearable.
Overall a lovely place in a wonderful location.

What a lovely place
We've been here for 2 weeks and we loved the house and the surroundings. The view is beautiful, the garden wonderful to walk through. The terrace is covered so there is always shade. The house is wonderfully cool, only the attic room is warm but we did not use it.
The kitchen is fully equipped, as is the whole house.
The bathroom is clean, spacious and pleasant to use.
We kept the shutters closed during the day, and in the evening when it got dark, we opened them up against each other so that the bedrooms were well ventilated.
There is plenty of room for more then one car.
There is a bakery within walking distance.
There are lovely restaurants within walking distance.
The supermarket is about 15 minutes driving away in Sarlat.
The villages in the area are fantastic.
I would have liked to stay much longer!

A beautiful property in a wonderful location
This is a spacious property beautifully decorated, perfectly clean and contains everything you could possibly need. It is located in a small and lovely commune that has a boulangerie and a number of restaurants within easy walking distance.
From the house there are views of a privately owned, impressive chateau which acts as a good landmark when out and about.
The pictures of the lounge area are not up to date. There is comfortable seating with a television (no English language channels). The woodburner is not in the lounge area as such, but I'm sure would warm the whole property during the winter.
The house has extensive grounds as well as an elevated terrace containing a table and chairs to eat Al Fresco. You car can be parked under cover in case of wet or hot weather. The only slight downside is the narrow entrance to the steep drive. If you have a wide car it maybe best to have someone guide you down!!
Very highly recommended!!!! We would love to spend another holiday there.
Fantastic!!!
