About the host
Hosted by Agnese Smith

I live in London, UK with my husband and kids. We've been coming to Bolton Est for decades -- it's great in all seasons. Our fantastic neighbour manages the property and will get you settled in.
Why they chose this property
The house was built in 2012, inspired by architecture in Switzerland. Its location was chosen for its spectacular views of the valley towards Bromont. The main living -- open plan kitchen/dining room/living room with fireplace is a great entertaining space, while the basement games room gives everyone space to have fun. Two large en-suite bedrooms (one on the ground floor) and bunk bed rooms is perfect for several families sharing. In the warmer months, the large covered patio that looks onto the pool functions as an extra living and dining room. We also have a cosy en-suite cabin that can be used in the summer. Please respect all local trash, fire and Covid regulations.
What makes this property unique
The private heart-shaped lake (a very large pond) is accessed by a lovely path through the woods that takes you to our dock. We share Baker Pond with friends across the water. In the summer, you can also enjoy our heated infinity pool. Unfortunately, the heart shape is only visible by drone!
While you may not want to leave our beautiful property, there are many fantastic activities very close by, in all seasons and for all age groups. A well stocked supermarket, cute cafes and stores are just a 10 minute drive into Knowlton. Check out the Eastern Township's website, as well as Knowlton's own tourist site and town of Ville de Lac Brome, to see what's happening during your intended stay.
Bolton Est is located near many ski hills -- all are about a half an hour's drive, while Jay Peak in Vermont is a 45 minute journey. Spa Bolton is five minutes away. Spa Eastman is a 20 minute drive.
Apart from sports, the area offers a variety of activities: from wine tasting at the many beautiful vineyards, to tours of the Abbeye Saint-Benoît-du-Lac. Lavender, elderberry and even an alpaca farm welcomes visitors. Artists will enjoy the "Tour des Art"; antique hunters will find plenty to see and buy. For fans of suspense author Louise Penny there are "Three Pines" tours and a lovely bookstore in town.
The community of Bolton Est, just at the bottom of the road, also hosts an increasingly popular and ever expanding farmers' market on Saturdays (during the warmer months), often with live music and delicious hot food.
