Seaside Flamingo;
** Please note Daufuskie island is an island without a bridge and the only way to access island is via a ferry or water taxi.
As the old saying goes..Location Location Location.
Seaside Flamingo has an amazing 180 degree view of the ocean.
2 master suites each with king size beds
2 guest rooms with queen size beds
also 2 twin size murphy beds can be easily set-up if needed
unless approved from owner the maximum of 10.
House is located in area called Melrose. The view's from the house are best on the island.
outdoor shower after a day at the beach. PLEASE NOTE COMMUNITY swimming pool NO longer comes with house rental. Pool passes can be purchased directly at pool. Seaside Flamingo beach house comes with one six seater electric golf cart. If additional carts are needed they Must be reserved with Daufuskie Carts. Please note NO other golf carts are permitted at this property. The six seater carts that’s included with your stay can be picked up at Melrose Marina when you arrive. This will save you +$100 in taxi service.

Beautiful property with amazing ocean views! Plenty of room in house and great property. Since in an island does take a bit of preparation and know better for the next time. Rob was super helpful.

Unique location

We enjoyed our stay. Ron was easy to get ahold of and helpful and accommodating with all of our requests. We thought the house was in such a unique area. It was amazing to be able to open the door to the balcony and fall asleep to the sound of the waves.

Heaven on earth

My family and I have come to Daufuskie island the last four years. This property has by far been our absolute favorite. A little slice of heaven! The location is perfect. The manager and owner are both very responsive and eager to make sure guests have the absolute best stay possible. The house is beautiful, clean and surrounded by beauty! This will be the house we return to. I cannot say enough good things about our experience this year.

A week stay at Daufuskie Island

Overall, we like the house’s location, quick access to the beach. However, the house was not very well cleaned before we moved in. There were dog’s poos on the stairs, bird’s poo on one of the window blind, and outdoor deck piled with leaves and sand. No shampoo or soaps in each bathroom, no kitchen tower. When we arrived at the house, one of the toilet is broken and my husband fixed it. The outdoor grill is not working. The communication was poor. I called and emailed the manager/owner on the day we were coming; however, nobody replied. Actually, we found out later that the owner/ manager was living at the house next door, but he never introduced himself even when he saw us. One the island, you either need to rent a golf cart (4 seats) or book the island transit for transportation. We were told by the house manager/ owner that we need to rent 2-3 carts (for 7 people) from him. Each cart costs $65 per day. I almost did it until I found out from another vender that Daufuskie Transit is a better way to transport luggages, and you are not supposed to put any big luggages on the golf cart. One thing we really like about this island is the beautiful beach. Sometimes, you might be the only person the the whole beach! Another thing we enjoyed is the catering from Ernestine, a local restaurant chef, who made us a Gullah dinner one night!

Awesome Property and Host!

The Pink Flamingo was a perfect house for our stay. We had 4 adults and 4 kids. We had plenty of room for the kids to play and for the adults to enjoy adult company. The house is close to a secluded beach which our boys loved exploring. The neighborhood was extremely safe and we were super comfortable to let the kids play outside by themselves. Ron was an extremely hospitable host that was very responsive. Any time we called or had general questions, Ron was quick to answer the phone and help us. Ron lives on the island so he was very knowledgeable of things to do if you weren’t a local. We will definitely be returning (hopefully sooner rather than later)!
