THE SEASIDE COTTAGE on DAUFUSKIE ISLAND

This beautiful two bedroom cottage has it all! Located directly on the beach with breath-taking views of the ocean, your vacation home has a location that can't be beat. You are within a minute's walk to the beach!

And, as nice as it was before...it's even nicer now! The owners have just finished a complete make-over and this cottage is lovelier than ever!

The wildlife is abundant and breathtaking. You will be close to the site of a Great White Egret and Wood Storks rookery, where you will see hundreds of these graceful birds settle in for the night. A nest of American Bald Eagles can occasionally be spotted, and now and then vigilant visitors can actually catch sight of a Loggerhead Turtle coming ashore to lay hundreds of eggs in the soft sand.

THE ISLAND

Most of our visitors also take time to get to know the rest of this special island. Those who do quickly realize that they have discovered a hidden island gem just a short boat ride from the mainland. Quiet, laid-back, and unique, beautiful Daufuskie is described by old-timers as similar to Hilton Head before a bridge connected that island with the mainland. (Daufuskie's unofficial slogan is 'No Bridge? No Problem!')

When you choose this cottage for your vacation, you will find a perfect setting to experience a lovely low country island with a centuries-old cultural history, beautiful beaches, spectacular wildlife, and friendly residents.

Totaling 1500 square feet (not including the ocean-front screened-in porch), the two spacious bedrooms each have two queen-size beds and private bathrooms. This bright and well-lit cottage has a free flowing and open floor plan providing everyone with a view of the ocean at all times. The decorating is tasteful and restful, and the screened-in porch is perfect for enjoying a sunrise over the ocean while sipping your morning coffee, or enjoying an end-of-the day cocktail.

Doggie and me!

This was the nicest little vaca. We enjoyed the beach and the island. The folks are so friendly and dog friendly! The cottage was so cute and the location was great! Very comfy and cozy! Everyone made arrangements easy from the ferry over to the island to the golf cart rental. Transport from cottage to dock was not up to par.

Wonderful Adventure!

This was our first time on Daufuskie Island and it did not disappoint! There were a lot of pieces to put together in order to ensure we had a successful vacation but every step of the way someone was available and willing to help us with any questions we had or suggestions for us! Pay attention to all the information you receive. There are a lot of instructions to follow, times to take note of, schedules to adhere to, and packing to be done but trust me they told me everything to consider along the way, and had I not done so our vacation would not have been nice as it was! We fell in love with this island, the beach, the trees, the quietness, the people everything about it. Our home was very comfortable and in a great location! Even after exploring the entire island, I think I would still choose to come back to these rentals. I loved being steps away from the beach. I loved the outdoor shower to rinse off sand too! There are a few properties still being worked on but I'm excited to see the progress next time we visit. I hope the pool and restaurant will have new owners by then and be available. I can see that being a major advantage to staying on Daufuskie! I contacted the property manager and his group many times during my stay with everything from a medical issue to where could I buy a flashlight and received a very kind prompt response every time. This is a wonderful team to work with and a great location to stay. We cannot wait to visit again!

Relaxing and calm

Our cottage was just as presented, very clean and appealing. Set up w several spices and lots of good quality utensils in the kitchen. The yard and beach area we perfect for walks and sunbathing. My daughter and daughter-in-law and myself thoroughly enjoyed our time together at the cottage and our travels about the island on our golf cart. The arrangements to and from the island were seem less. Captain Dan was wonderful to work with. Communication with the management was timely and efficient.
