Escape the chaos and come enjoy this fully renovated chic waterfront home ready for your next tranquil vacation. Fish right from the dock or bring your boat and head out to boot key harbor towards the Atlantic Ocean. Property has a 35' deep-water dock, a bait freezer, and a fish cleaning table. We have manatee families and pelicans that frequently visit the canal. You can also just relax and enjoy the views on one of the chairs by the dock or spend the evening by the firepit under the starry night sky. These are just some of the simple pleasures at the Salty Air Retreat
There is a Kayak available as well as 2 beach cruisers. Propane and Charcoal grill are also available as well as outdoor shower to rinse off after a lengthy fishing trip.
House is very centrally located with just a 1-hour drive to Key West and 45 minutes from Islamorada. There is plenty to do locally as well, as Marathon has many attractions. The Turtle Hospital is located 2 blocks south and is a mere 4 min walk from the front door. Aquarium Encounters is another family favorite. You can swim with sharks as well as pet and feed the stingrays and turtles. Crane Point Hammock Park has a ton of history, great trails, and ends with a fish pedicure.
The old historic 7-mile bridge just recently reopened for walking, running, and cycling. It is a 3-minute drive from the property. In Spring 2022, a 60-passenger tram will take visitors across the bridge to historic Pigeon Key instead of the ferry.
There is also a new walkway that goes under the 7-mile bridge and connects you to Sunset Grille and Raw Bar for waterfront dining. Island Fish Company, Burdines and the Beach Bars at Tranquility Bay as well as Isla Beach Resorts are also fantastic waterfront dining.
Marathon also has one of the best beaches in the Florida Keys, Sombrero Beach and is located less than 10 minutes away. Bahia Honda State Park is about 15 minutes away from the property.
The welcome book and rental guide will provide extensive information of things to do in Marathon as well as popular attractions throughout the Florida Keys.
The kitchen and Bathroom are fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.
Master bedroom has a king bed, waterfront view (sliding door) and a Smart flat screen TV.
2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds and a Smart flat screen TV.
Livingroom has a queen-sized pull-out couch with gel mattress and faces a Smart flat screen TV.
All Smart Flat Screen TVs come with remote control and have access to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and Peacock.
Wifi is strong and has videoconferencing capabilities.
This home has a seven night minimum reservation rental and offers a 20% discount for stays longer than 28 days or more.
Cleaning Fee: $250 (We would refund 50% after your stay if the house is left in the conditions stated above)
Refundable Damage Deposit: $500
All funds collected are nonrefundable for cancellations within 15 days of arrival.
The guest named on the rental agreement is the only one who may cancel the reservation.
