We loved this property! I would say the only thing that I think people should know more is that the walk to the water from the house is difficult with young kids. We went in clothes you would wear to the water which was hard. We needed more like hiking type shoes and stuff. The water was nice although kind of murky bc of only being on the shade. You couldn’t see the large rocks in it which made it hard for our daughter to navigate without me holding her. Other than that the house and around the house was beautiful. We loved how it was nestled into the woods and at the end of a street. We took a lot of walks and really enjoyed the amenities. The drive into town was easy and very pretty. We would definitely go back again!

Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback and for your kind words about the house, setting, and amenities. We’re sorry to hear the walk to the water was difficult with young kids and will look into how this is described. We also regret that the water was murky and that the rocks were hard to see, and we will review how we can better communicate these conditions. Your comments are very helpful, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
Such a great place for multiple families with kids. It had everything we needed. We just wish the walk to the cove was a bit more kid friendly. It was still niceto go for a walk through the woods. We were able to rent a pontoon boat and enjoy the lake for a day. Totally a great visit!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Listing accuracy
The house itself is nice, with plenty to do, (beds are a little hard) however, the description at spots is very misleading. First, you cannot walk out onto the deck to the hot tub. It is at ground level. To take off the cover, if you stand on the right side, be careful, there is nothing to keep you from slipping off of the edge. And watch out for the hot tub rules after you’re done or you will get caught on the metal sign. There could also be some cleaning up in that area. The fire pit is on a hill and so the benches are on a horrible slant. (The whole property is on an hill so there is no yard you can use). And be careful if the grass is wet or you will slip down the hill while trying to walk around the bench. The biggest deception is the access to the lake. I rented thinking my grandchildren could go in the lake from the house, wrong. It is about a mile hike down a very treacherous path that is both rocky and overgrown. And when you get to the bottom, there is no where to go. It is essentially like a water hole so don’t expect to enjoy the lake or swimming from this property. Taylor made was helpful though when we called because the code to get in didn’t work. We had arrived early and the code doesn’t work until exactly 4:00. They immediately fixed the issue and let us in the property.

Thank you for sharing such detailed feedback and for your kind words about the house and our team’s responsiveness. We are sorry the outdoor areas, lake access, and hot tub setup did not meet your expectations and that some aspects of the listing felt misleading. Your comments about safety, cleanliness, and the accuracy of the description are very important, and we will review the listing details and property setup to address these concerns. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention so we can improve the experience for future guests.
Very spacious, great for big/multiple families with kids. Many things there that made stay more convenient - camp chairs & mountain pie maker, waffle maker and griddle and even crockpot. Lots of games and movies and even books.
Lake access is a little hike but beautiful walk.
House could use a lil TLC but overall was nice space. It smelt clean upon entering but some areas were dusty, too many throw pillows that you know don't get cleaned, and since pets are allowed the carpets do have some stains. But it wasn't a place I felt was dirty or uncomfortable to stay at.
We would recommend to the owners, updating book to include wifi password (it was hard to find and incorrect - I had to call technical support) as well as instructions for the remotes/cords for the main television, list of channels would be nice too.
Checkout instructions were also not included until an email came from taylor-made day before leaving.
Additionally in the VRBO listing it says there is access to local fitness center/pool. The welcome book didn't give any of this information, we were able to figure it out from pulling up the listing... unfortunately once we got there the pool was closed for cleaning the entire week (no one's fault just a big bummer for five kiddos looking forward to it), eitherway info in the book would have been useful.
Overall we had a very nice time with family. Did grill out on the porch a lot and enjoyed the hot tub as well.
