We were there for the Cal Ripken experience. The location was perfect and close to ballpark. The cabin was clean and owners made sure we had everything we needed.
We loved the cabin. The view was beautiful! We loved it so much we extended our stay. The cabin was available and our host, Anthony, went above and beyond to help us extend our stay. He was a great help! Would definitely recommend!

This was our second time staying at The Great Outdoors cabin. We love the location and the beautiful view. Even though there are other cabins around, the surrounding trees and perfect view of the mountains makes you feel secluded. Anthony is a wonderful host and is very responsive to inquiries or needs. A definite recommendation if you want to stay off the beaten path but still in proximity to activities.
Location is just right between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. A black bear passed right near our cabin!!! Cabin was clean and had a great view of the mountains. Would definitely recommend staying here. Anthony the owner was quick to respond to questions. We had no issues.
Our family of 4 had a great stay here! We have stayed at many cabins in the Sherwood Forest area and this one has the best view we have seen! Cabin was clean, kitchen was stocked, and beds were comfy. Hot tub was perfect after a long day of walking at Dollywood. The whole family enjoyed the pool. We used the dishwasher, washer, and dryer with no issues. Anthony was in contact with us via text about our stay. We needed new sheets mid-week and the cleaners were able to drop some off for us. We will be back!

We have stayed at this cabin several times. The cabin is cozy and the view of the mountains from the porch is beautiful. The location is close enough to town that you don’t feel you have to spend a lot of time in the car but far enough out that you don’t hear or see the traffic. The host is easy to communicate with and responsive to any questions or concerns. We will continue to stay here when we visit the Smokies.

About the host
Hosted by Anthony
My wife and I have two wonderful twin boys. We enjoy spending time with family and taking trips all while making lasting memories.
Why they chose this property
We obtained this property because we make multiple trips to east Tennessee and the "Smoky Mountains" yearly. It seemed sensible that with us coming this often, it would be wise to buy a place rather than rent each time.
After over a year of searching we were able to find this cabin, in a wonderful location and phenomenal views. The cabin is near anything you would want to do. It is 20 minutes from Dolly Wood and 25 minutes from Gatlinburg. Yet, it is secluded and private with easy access in and out.
What makes this property unique
As stated above, the most unique benefit is having convenient access to everything you would want to do, while still providing seclusion and amazing views of the mountain ridge.
