The location is absolutely perfect, the house was clean and beautiful (even better than the pictures, which are already great!). The hosts were so communicative too. I’m already thinking of excuses to book it again in the future!
We had such a great time in this amazing charming home with its perfect location. Seemed like the air con wasn't working properly in the twin bed rooms above the kitchen, but everyone else had an amazing experience and we were so appreciative of everything offered
My family (three siblings, spouses, four kids, and our parents) stayed here for our sister’s wedding weekend and absolutely loved our stay. The location can’t be beat on a quiet street and only a short walk into town. The house itself was beautiful, well-appointed, and even bigger than the pictures! We had plenty of room to settle in, tons of towels and extra linens/blankets, and the kitchen was fully stocked with appliances/cookware. Outside, the property was so well maintained and the outdoor shower was an excellent perk! The host and property manager were prompt with responses, accommodating, generous, and ready to help make sure we had a great stay. We would love to stay here again!
We came down for an anniversary party with friends and loved the house. Plenty of space, lovely porch and Robert was so very helpful. Downtown Edgartown is just a couple of blocks from the house which is wonderful when you have multiple events happening at the wharf area. We had a few minor issues that Robert fixed so very quickly;. he was terrific. The only reason I give it 4 stars rather than 5 was that for older couples like those in our group , some of the beds were very uncomfortable to sleep on. Other than that the house was wonderful. Thanks for a great stay.

This house is really nice and the front porch is fantastic. The location cannot be beat.
Honestly, I was dubious given what appeared to be a bait and switch that happened when I booked. They cancelled my reservation due to a "VRBO error" and then asked me to rebook under different terms. Given the time of year and demand, I had no choice. The listing said "resort amenities". When I asked about this, I got "oh, is that still on the listing? It shouldn't be". After I booked, I was told that they do not provide linens. At this price I think they should. Aside from all of that, the house and cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The pictures actually do not do it justice. Aside from the booking issues, my only other suggestion would be room darkened shades. The bedrooms were very bright and several in my group had trouble sleeping.

Thank you, Bill. Great to have you at the property. We are pleased that it all worked out for you. Thank you for your patience as we worked through the booking issues. This is our rookie year for listing on a vacation website and had to learn the site. Your having to rebook last winter was at VRBO'S direction. Our account was faulty, and VRBO directed us to cancel our account and start a new one. With regard to linens and towels, I believe that our listing stated that linens and towels are not provided, and a text to you pointed that out as well. It is not unusual on Martha's Vineyard for linens and towels to be excluded in rental listings. Your suggestion for black out shades is very helpful, and we will address that issue. We appreciate your comments and suggestions. Our goal is to accommodate our guests without any issues, and your review will help us to achieve that goal.
We spent a wonderful time at 74 South Summer St, the home was perfectly located and so comfortable for all our family! We enjoyed the outside seating area and the front porch was so special for morning coffee and pictures on the blue porch swing! Thank you so much for making our wedding week memorable
