Lovely home with a 7 minute walk to downtown
This home is so lovely and decorated so beautifully, even my husband said something about loving the furnishings! The kitchen is well stocked for anything you could need to do and all the beds, including the Murphy bed downstairs, were comfortable. The outside space needed some attention upon checkin and there was a blower provided that we charged up to blow off the oak tree spring gifts (from one of the largest oak trees I’ve ever seen!) we loved being only a short drive or quick walk to restaurants and shops downtown. We stayed here for my daughter’s graduation from WCU, 30 minutes from the Ramsey Center, and it was plenty spacious for our family to gather with each other to celebrate this milestone. It is worth noting the stairs from the ground level where you park to the main level of the home might be difficult for anyone that struggles on stairs. They are steep and turn 90 degrees at the top. You can park and walk to the sidewalk and have a mostly level entrance with just two small steps, but someone will need to use the keypad on the basement level to gain access to the house and unlock the (gorgeous) front door from the inside of the home. We love using vacasa for the blended feel of unique rentals by owners with the professional property management by a national company. And we recommend this home to anyone who loves a downtown setting.

Charming house and easy walk to Main Street
We stayed here for a family Thanksgiving (all adults). The house was very clean, the furniture was comfortable and we especially enjoyed the den when the afternoon sun was through the windows. The stairs going up to the second level are beautiful. The walk to the restaurants and shops on Main Street was quick and relatively easy. On the other hand there were a few things that could have been better. There were no dish towels or dish drainer in the kitchen when we arrived, which is a problem if you want to do much cooking and need to clean up the dishes. Never could get the smart tv to work - in spite of what the instructions in the binder said, there didn't seem to be a connection to Spectrum. Also, the dryer didn't work - it would shut off about 5 minutes in to all the cycles we tried. Finally, to enter the house you need to go up a somewhat steep set of stairs. If there had been a way to lock the front door behind us we could have used that to go in and out at street level instead. My husbands bad knees would have appreciated that very much. Overall, I would definitely rent the house again, but a few things could be improved on.
