About this property

Magical Mtn Views/Hot Tub-Hiking/Fishing/NOC 5 min

Your Magical Mountain Memories are just a stay away...

As you drive to the Nantahala Gorge, you will experience a true vacation feeling! From the moment you see the Majestic Long Range Mountain Views from the Cabin, you are sure to be captivated...
Inside the cabin there are wood floors, pine tongue and groove walls and a complete wall of glass w/ floor to ceiling windows to take in the Majestic Mountain Views from every room in the Cabin. The Living Room focal point is the floor to ceiling Native Stone Fireplace
Enjoy the Long Range Mountain Views while you cuddle up in front of the Fireplace, or enjoy the Plush Cotton Bathrobes after a soak in the Sparkling Hot tub filled with Fresh Spring water.
The stainless & granite kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to cook at 'home' - and on the deck, a BBQ Grill (Grilling has never been so View-licious). For those of you that enjoy hydro-therapy, there is a jetted tub in the downstairs bathroom.
Bring the S'mores fixins and brush up on your favorite Campfire stories. Gathering around the FirePit is always an end of the day favorite!

The living room offers an even larger (55") flat screen TV (each bedroom offers flat screen TV's equipped with satellite stations as well). Enjoy your meals gathered around a beautiful rustic/modern teak dining table, with a Cabin/Forest dish ware set, and more... "Mountain Magic" offers several unique and updated amenities: a Sparkling Fresh Hot Tub (with waterfall feature and even more Jets than before), Comfortable Luxurious Leather living room furniture, a fabulous King Bed upstairs - with "sleep number technology" that offers dual controls (The Queen bed downstairs was upgraded with a new mattress and memory foam topper - which is the right combination of support with a soft overlay).
As always, the beds are prepared with Luxury linens and high quality Bedding.

Some of the recent upgrades include: New Internet service (BalsamWest Internet Provider is the Best and Fastest, and Use is Unlimited), a designated work space with a desk, chair, computer monitor and a wireless keyboard, new gorgeous leather living room furniture, new rugs, freshly painted/stained exterior, new ceiling fans, updates to both bathrooms, freshly paved road all the way to the cabin, and more...
Short Recap:
There are a total of (3) Flat-screen TV's (each with an extensive satellite channel selection), an assortment of card/board games, and an Air Hockey Table!
Currently offering complimentary and unlimited WiFi to our Guests.
The N.O.C. is just 5 minutes up the road and it is one of the main reasons both Good Morning America and National Geographic voted this area #1 Vacation with a Splash'!
There are 7-8 restaurants within 10 minutes from casual to fine dining!
The Tsali (for hiking and biking trails) and Fontana Lake are within 10 minutes.
Bryson City (shopping, dining, the scenic train depot and more) are within 15-20 minutes.

We are available to assist you, and offer a few optional convenience services:

... Shopping service. If you would like to arrive at the Cabin with your Groceries already stocked, ask for details, we will have everything waiting for you upon your arrival.
... If you would like to enjoy a Spa Massage Service at the Cabin, it is a good idea to book in advance to assure availability. Your Professional Massage Therapist will come to you, so when you are done, they quietly disappear and leave you to relax.
... If your vacation dates are during 'Season' or Holidays and you plan to rent a pontoon or fishing boat, it may be a good idea to reserve in advance. Lake Fontana and the shore line is primarily Nantahala National Forest, or is part of The Great Smoky Mountain National Park, which is Federally owned, so the Lake is never 'Busy', but the few available rental boats do get booked up.

Over 50 acres of Green Space at the Cabin: There are 50 acres of hiking trails just out of the front door. While hiking these trails you will encounter several ponds, the largest is spring fed and is full of fish! There are Bass, Brim, Catfish, and More...
There is a hand drawn map inside the welcome book to show some of the trails.

Mountain Magic is the perfect place to make your own Magical Mountain Memories!

Very well maintained, updated, and clean property. Plenty of amenities from extra linens, kitchen supplies, as well as a wonderful, hot tub and porch with amazing views. My partner and I also loved the indoor gas fireplace and comfortable beds. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

Quiet Mountain Retreat

We really enjoyed our time here. We slept like babies in the comfy beds! We spent mornings and evenings on the deck taking in the view-gorgeous! During the day, it’s a short drive to Bryson City with all its cute shops and tasty restaurants! Loved it!

Clean cabin with nice amenities

We enjoyed out stay and spent a lot of time at the cabin looking out at the beautiful view from the hot tub. The cabin was very clean and we appreciated the sleep number bed at night, as most cabin beds are not that comfortable. Also, we enjoyed fishing at the pond and caught a couple bass. The location was close to Bryson City, where we would highly recommend The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad to visitors (first class is worth it!). Definitely a nice place to relax and get away from our day-to-day!

Great place

The property is fantastic - the view is breath taking. Only complaint is that we lost power Friday evening and didn’t get it back until late Sat afternoon - the power line was down across the driveway making the road impassable. Some brave soul finally propped the power line up precariously with a stick and a step ladder so residents could get through. It was still like that when we left and I guess they were checking guests in anyway. We requested a late check out time due to missing out on a good portion of our time there. We were denied. So, only gripe: don’t expect this company to go above and beyond with customer service. The property however, is amazing!

A beautiful retreat in the Smokey Mountains

The views at this cabin are stunning. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub, again with a stunning view and privacy. The cabin is very nicely appointed, and although we didn't get a chance to use the hockey table, I would have liked to. I would like to let people know how remote it is though. Had I known, I would have brought all of our food - we assumed we could eat out more, but Bryson City is quite a drive. I would not hesitate to recommend this cabin though!

Beautiful View! Wonderful cabin.

We enjoyed our week at the Magic Mountain cabin. The view was absolutely amazing! The cabin is only about 25 minutes from Bryson City. We were able to shop for groceries at Ingles in town there and browse the shops. I highly recommend trying out the Smoky Mountain Winery. Wine and Pizza were awesome. We also ate at the Rivers End restaurant at the Nantanhala outdoor center. It is only about 15-20 minutes south of the cabin. We drove to Cherokee, went to the casino, and then saw the Elk close to the Oconaluftee Visitor Center, they were grazing at about 5 pm. We rode the Smoky Mountain Railroad, it was so fun! As you see we were busy going and doing the whole time, but every morning and evening being able to sit on the porch and take in the breathtaking views was so wonderful! We found the cabin clean and well maintained and stocked with everything we needed. One night we played Foosball on the table upstairs and also played a board game. There are many games and movies furnished in the cabin. The peacefulness there at the cabin was greater than I have ever felt. Miss it already here back in noisy Houston area. We love North Carolina so much that we are thinking about retiring there in our own little cabin.

Not happy

Unable to take a full hot shower unable to fill the jacuzzi tub with water because the stopper did work .Pedestal sink in the master suite was so loose that it almost fell off of the pedestal if I had not caught it . It was leaking into the cabinet below soaked up all the towels .Had to to request fire wood for the fire pit. The sleep number bed does not work .The receptacle on the side of the bed is coming out of the wall definitely a safety hazard. Microwave door broken and light does not work . The stairs are very dangerous in addition the banister is so wobbly someone will fall.

Much Needed Mountain Time

The property is very well maintained, Steve and Kathleen the property managers went over and above our expectations. we had a few issues while there one being the bottom of the drive was washed out . Steve took care of the issue right away and for the balance of the week we had no issues with the driveway. The second issues was a water line from the spring got crushed and that also was taken care of the same day. The views from the cabin were amazing , we can only imagine what they must look like during peak fall foliage . We visited Fontana Dam while we were there, wow what some amazing scenery with the mountains and the lake with the fall colors. The route to the Dam is very well traveled by Motorcycle enthusiast headed to the Tail of the Dragon be patient in your travels because the thrill for speed and curves is very real. The Cabin is well stocked , we needed nothing for the week ( you will need to bring a blender if enjoy frozen drinks) . A word of caution if you cannot sleep in a hot environment, and you will be sleeping in the loft area take a fan with you it gets very hot up there. We loved this Cabin and very much enjoyed our time there.

Come for the views!

Our family of 3 (+ 2 dogs) spent a very relaxing week at Mountain Magic. The mountain views, new deck, and stargazing from the hot tub were highlights for us! The beds and sofas were comfortable and the cabin was very clean. We did not realize the upstairs bedroom was in an open loft and that the air hockey table was alongside the king bed there. The downside to this for us was that noise traveled though the house and it was difficult to have TV or music playing in more than one place. It’s also worth noting that the top steps leading the the loft have different rises (and are marked) so take care with kids or older adults. This may not be an issue for you, though. The neighborhood is very quiet and we enjoyed walking some of the nearby trails and casting a line into the pond. Bryson City is about 20 min away and we enjoyed our time hiking the Three Waterfalls loop at the Deep Creek park (GSM National Park), just outside downtown. Sylva was about 40 min away but worth it to us for time at the great bookstore, quirky shops, etc. NOC always does a great job leading zip line adventures and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them! Bring your own ziplock bags, foil, etc. The cabin has equipment like a griddle, slow cooker, blender, etc. There were a handful of dried herbs and salt & pepper, on hand, too.

The views from this cabin were beautiful. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Excellent directions. Plenty of wood for fires. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub and at night watched the stars come out. Hot dog sticks were great making delicious hotdogs over the fire. We heard a barred owl a couple of nights and saw deer on the road in. Excellent restaurants in the area.

Great Mountain view

The house was in very good condition. The view was terrific. Getting to and from the location especially at night was very difficult. GPS could not accurately locate. Drive was beginning to freeze on the last day. Iced drive would not have been possible to drive on. Overall it was a nice experience.
