Cozy accommodation in the Vierseithof in an idyllic, rural location

History:
My father often helped my aunt's four-sided farm during the holidays. He has been renovating it piece by piece since 1996. With enormous effort and staying power. Old half-timbered houses, old plows and tractors have always fascinated him. The half-timbered houses in the yard ... that was still healthy construction with clay. It kept warm in winter and nice and cool in summer.
He had to act because the farm in Horka had been vacant since 1988. Buildings were decaying. Devices rusted away.
In 1996/97 he renovated the barn, in 1998/99 the house and after 2000 followed the renovation of the former cowshed, in which the shared accommodation offered here is located.
The cowshed dates from 1786 and is the oldest building on the Vierseithof. There used to be a cow and chicken coop on the ground floor. Hay was stored on the upper floor. There was also a room for pigeon breeding. The roof was re-covered with the original roof tiles. A Pawlatsche (catwalk) was added from the courtyard side. The upper floor and the roof structure have been completely rebuilt. In the 2nd A communal accommodation was set up on the upper floor in 2017. In the 1st The upper floor is characterized by a large kitchen and a ballroom.

Apartment description:
The stairs lead to the spacious accommodation, which is spread over the first and second floors and is therefore not barrier-free. The property can accommodate 11 people - groups of up to 30 people are also possible on request. In the 1st Upstairs there is a full kitchen (fridge, freezer, dishwasher, stove with oven, stainless steel dishwasher). The 180 square meter and comfortable accommodation in the beautiful listed building invites you to relax. There are 2 large dormitories, 2 separate bathrooms and a lounge area (with LED Smart TV incl. Satellite TV and popular internet apps such as Amazon Video, Youtube and Netflix) are available.
The accommodation is very cozy and has all the charm of the past - beautiful floorboards are just as present as beamed ceilings. By using natural materials and warm earth tones, you can relax and enjoy your stay optimally. This is the perfect accommodation for holidays of several families together or stays of other groups (e.g. Divers, assembly workers, rural vacationers, school trips, class reunions).

The Vierseithof is surrounded by greenery and there is a clear view into the distance - especially in the summer months you can enjoy the lively nature here. You can e.g. B. at the campfire leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life and the city noise behind and instead enjoy the peace and space of the property.

There is a lot to experience in the area:
This four-sided farm is located in the heart of Upper Lusatia - Horka is almost in the geographic center of the large Bautzen district.
There are several cycle paths near the courtyard. You can rent bicycles in the Sende bike garage in the neighboring town of Räckelwitz. Via the nearby A4 motorway Uhyst am Taucher (8 km) you can e.g. B. Saxony's state capital Dresden can be reached in a short time (approx. 45 minutes).
There is also a granite quarry with crystal-clear water in Horka, which is also a diving center. In the immediate vicinity, the guest has the opportunity to use the diverse hiking opportunities in the heath and pond landscape.
Also a visit to the Saurierpark Kleinwelka (incl. Maze and miniature park) or Bärwalder See (the largest lake in Saxony) is definitely worth it. In addition to Lake Dreiweiberner you will find other very beautiful lakes in the area, e.g. B. the Geierswalder lake with different beach sections or the nationally known Senftenberger lake. The Scheibesee north of Weißkollm has a very beautiful bike path that often leads right past the water.
Many destinations can be visited comfortably by car in one day. B. St. Monastery Marienstern in Panschwitz-Kuckau (6 km), Krabat region information center (8 km), birthplace of G. E. Lessing - Kamenz (16 km), Museum of West Lusatia (16 km), capital of the Sorbian national minority - Bautzen (17 km), Sorbian Museum (17 km), Baroque castle Rammenau (19 km), bathing trip to Knappensee (21 km), Stolpen Castle (34 km), Lausitzer Findlingspark Nochten (41 km), Saxon Switzerland (45 km), Einsiedel Cultural Island (70 km), Spreewald (80 km).
