About this property

Troy's Hideout is a beautiful 3 BR/1.5 BA stilt house with a private hot tub, a large yard, and ample parking for your beach getaway. Located in Port A's "Old Town", it is close to the beach, shopping, restaurants and is in the "golf cart zone".

The house was originally part of the former Coastal Lodge and sits at the back of a half-acre lot giving you a peaceful experience and plenty of room to unwind.

The main level of the house is upstairs. When you enter, you're greeted with an enclosed porch which is a great place to relax and enjoy the view. The porch opens into a large living area with plenty of seating, a smart television, and wireless internet. Of of the living area is a spacious and stocked kitchen perfect for preparing the catch of the day. There is also a dining table that seats four.

Down the hall, you'll find two bedrooms--one with a queen bed and one with a king bed and a smart television. Both share a large bathroom with a walk-in shower. The master bedroom also opens to the enclosed porch. There is also a laundry closet in the hallway.

Downstairs, you'll find an additional sleeping room with twin beds and a half bath. This room has a mini-split heating and cooling unit. There is also an outdoor shower around the corner from this space.

Outside, you will find a barbecue grill, and picnic table, and plenty of green space for your pets and kids. Please note that the side yard is shared with the bungalows at the front of the property, but the yard on the left of the property with the picnic table is private.

The house has three covered parking spaces and additional parking that can accommodate larger vehicles or a small boat. Please check with us if you plan to bring a boat or trailer.

Troy's Hideout is a dog-friendly property. Please check with us regarding your pet as we do have size and breed restrictions. Pets must be kenneled if left alone in the house and guests are required to clean up any pet waste outside. We charge a $75 per dog pet cleaning fee which covers your entire stay. If you are bringing a dog, please message us the breed, age and weight of your dog so we can pre-approve them. Unreported dogs will result in a $200 fee, and may result in immediate eviction without reimbursement for the entire reservation.

Troy's Hideout is a NON-SMOKING property. No smoking of any kind is allowed in the building. You may smoke on the outside deck.

Secluded Paradise in the middle of it all

The house was great and the owners were awesome! Very clean and quiet. Parking was no issue. Great communication with the owners. Close to everything we wanted to do. Cold air conditioner. The bottom bedroom was very cozy, and perfect for younger adults who want want to stay up late and not wake up the people upstairs.

Great place with good vibes!

My family and I had an awesome time at Troy’s Hideout. The location is perfect in a secluded part of Old town and a short walk to the beach. Awesome hosts, we’ll definitely be going back.

Perfect beach getaway

The house is in the perfect location that is in walking distance to beach, restaurants and small grocery store. The rental of the golf cart gave us easy access to the beach house and to move around Port A.

It was fine

House was clean, area was quiet and convenient to the beach and places to eat. Plenty of parking but getting to the house could be a challenge if you have an oversized vehicle or even a SUV like a suburban. You have to use a shared driveway with another property and that property's parking is between their building and the drive. We almost had to knock on their door to move their cars so we could simply get passed to park several times. Once you squeeze by, there's room at the house. The days we had a golf cart it was no problem. Listing shows a hottub but it was not working and it wasn't mentioned until we asked at check in. We were told it was supposed to be serviced that week but no follow up and when mentioned upon check out, no response. It needs to be removed from the listing if it's not a true amenity. Outdoor shower was nice and also a waterhose. Bedroom with twin beds is downstairs with a separate entrance and has no curtains or shades for room or bathroom. We had a svc guy come (not for hottub, there was a leak somwhere he said) when we were all sleeping so that was awkward when he's knocking on a door with an uncovered window. Room stayed cool but suggest window coverings for privacy, especially the bathroom. Washer and dryer was a nice convenience, shower looked remodeled and had good water pressure & plenty of hot water.
