Host is very responsive and helpful. The cabin was clean and well appointed. The hot tub was ready to go when we arrived, clean, and very relaxing. I would consider the cabin private and it was very quiet and peaceful. The host communicates the driveway clearly, so follow their suggestions. For awareness - if you are driving a truck of any size be prepared for the 3 (at least) point turn exiting the property. If we had an 8' bed instead of a 6, I'm not sure we would have managed very well. The host and the cabin itself was a delight. Thank you for having us!

Once you get used to driveway it’s a beautiful/easy stay! The water does have a slight smell/slick feel to it but we just bought some gallons of drinking water. The stay felt quaint and cozy. Would love to stay again!

This cabin is a wonderful place to stay! So beautiful and so cozy. Very neat and clean. Perfect home away from home! If you’re looking for a cozy peaceful getaway, this IS IT. The views are spectacular. Close to town but far enough away to get away from the hustle and bustle. I will be staying there again with my family next time! Don’t miss out!

Thank you for the wonderful review! We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and the peaceful getaway. We can't wait to host you and your family again next time!
Cale's cabin is a repeat! The place is a labor of love and is kept well too. We enjoyed it so much. He also made himself available answering all of our questions before, during, and after. Recommended!

Thank you so much for your kind review! We're thrilled you enjoyed your stay, and we appreciate your recommendation. We'd love to have you back anytime!
Between the sewage smell and sulfur smell and having to turn around in Neighbor’s driveway that was filled with 40 yards of trash. The place wasn’t that bad, however we can only stay one night out of two

We did have a water issue that was repaired the next day and we refunded the guest for their remaining stay. This is no longer an issue, so it's sad that you'd leave a poor review when you were refunded and know it was an issue out of our control. Let's be classy folks!

Our stay
DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT A VIEW. The pictures show a slight view however in spring and summer you only see foliage. This was not our first choice the cabin that I booked was apparently double booked so they offered this cabin instead.
We arrived after a backpacking trip and were expecting to use the hot tub to ease our body aches and relax. We arrived a little after 4pm which is check in and the hot tub was ice cold. The owners were responsive and stated that they drain the tub after every rental which is great however a hot tub takes a whole day to heat up so we were unable to use the hot tub until the following night when it reached temp. The TVs are great and you have access to Netflix however the night we arrived the sound bar was not working and it was past hours to reach out to the owners so we spent 2 + hours trying to get it to work which we eventually did and had no issues the rest of the trip. The king size bed was a seller for us as my husband moves alot and we prefer a king like we have at home but IT IS FIRM! the sheets feel like paper and the comforter is a rough quilt style comforter. There is only 1 chair on the porch and the instructions ask you to not move furniture around so I thankfully had my kayak chair to sit outside with my husband while we grilled. They charge you 175 for a cleaning fee and the instructions they send you say it is your responsibility to load and run the dishwasher(the dishes from the last visitor were still in the dishwasher when our stay started)take the trash out and pick up. Meaning the cleaner drains the hot tub washes the linen and sweeps the floors but not under the bed ( we tend to keep our bags under the bed so they are out of the way and allow a clean area when pulling our bags out there was dust and hair / bugs on them. We stayed here for my husband's birthday and while we enjoyed our getaway it did not meet our expectations. We were 30 mins from pigeon forge and hour from gatlinburg there are NO HIKES near the cabin and nowhere to walk around the cabin kind of a bummer. Overall the cabin was fine it served it's purpose it could have been more comfortable but beggers can't be choosers the hosts are very friendly and responsive during business hours. For the money I was spending and previous experiences traveling I was let down however it was a nice place. It is secluded and while there is a road below and neighbors there isn't much traffic and you don't see the people.

We do not advertise a view anywhere in our listing. We also list specifically the distances to all the various Cities and areas, including the National Park so it seems a lot of your issues would have been known upfront had you reviewed the listing.
The bed is a brand new memory foam king mattress and many guests have asked us where they can buy it because it is so comfy. Everyone's taste in beds is different though.
We are glad that you recognize the cabin was "fine," but wish you had read the listing before booking so you understood what you were reserving. Our other guests have loved the cabin!
This was a nice small cabin that has the proximity for Lake Douglas where you can fish and also hike. Also, a very short drive to Pigeon Forge, Dollywood and Gatlinburg. Very nice hosts with great communication. Be sure to be comfortable driving up a cliff so I would probably recommend not renting during inclement weather. Several small and quick fixes to the cabin itself would give the cabin more comfort and convenience (more comfortable mattress/ sticky gate latch/ uncomfortable lighting) and earn it a 5 star rating. Cabin offers a spacious porch with BBQ, comfortable jacuzzi and great views. (Hawks nest nearby). Overall, a great home base to enjoy all the amenities that the Smokey Mountain region has to offer.

Hi Shawn, glad you enjoyed Cedar Creek!
Thanks for the feedback. Everyone’s bed preference is different, but this does have a brand new king size memory foam mattress that all our other guests have found very comfortable (including ourselves!). The driveway is a little steep (as we indicate in the listing), but very short and easy and not on a cliff at all.
Cozy cabin in the mountains. Was great for our weekend getaway. The hot tub was a great addition; very clean. Great communication with host!

About the host
Hosted by Cale Delaney
We are a multi-cultural, Christian family of 5 starting out in the short term rentals. I grew up in NH, but moved down to FL in 2002. My wife is from Ecuador and moved to the US in 2013. We absolutely love traveling and the Great Smoky Mountains, getting out in nature, and being active! In fact, we love the area so much that in February of 2021 our family decided to purchase our first vacation home and have continued to expand from there with adding 2 more next door! It's been a dream of ours to have a log cabin with some land to call our own and now that dream has come true and we are excited to share it with you! We wanted a cabin large enough for our family and friends. We hope you enjoy our cabin as much as our family does. We look forward to hosting you!
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with the look and setting of this property. Something about it just caught our eye. And then once we saw the beautiful pastures and farms neighboring it we were sold. It truly is a beautiful and unique cabin with some much to offer and we hope you love it as much as we do!
What makes this property unique
So cute & cozy and the perfect couple's cabin! Everything you need for a nice peaceful getaway to reconnect and rekindle that spark! Set in such peace and beauty surround by the forest and mountains and farmland, you can't help but relax at Cedar Creek!
