In our 17th-century manor house, come and relax in this cottage with exposed stone walls and a fireplace, just outside Richelieu, the Cardinal's city. Between the Loire Valley châteaux and Futuroscope, come and enjoy a comfortable and simple break! The "L'ours qui a vu la poule qui a vu l'ours" (The Bear Who Saw the Hen Who Saw the Bear) cottage is located in the main building of our manor house. This 90 m² cottage comprises a dining area with a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom with a bathtub, a sleeping area with two adjoining bedrooms, and two toilets. Access to the sleeping area is via a staircase which is not suitable for people with mobility issues! Close to the Cardinal's City, a unique architectural gem in France and a must-see small town of character in the Loire Valley, your cottage benefits from a protected environment where nature reigns supreme in the Land of Kings. In this former 17th-century manor house, the cosy interior, offering colour and comfort, is ideal for recharging and enjoying a true holiday or weekend getaway where local attractions abound. In the warmer months, the garden is perfect for relaxing or playing outdoors, a real treat for young and old alike. Nearby, you'll discover the magnificent Château du Rivau, the royal fortress of Chinon, and the Historial du Poitou at the Château de Monts-sur-Guesnes. The forest, hiking trails, and the Richelieu-Chinon greenway offer opportunities for memorable walks. A little further afield, Chenonceau, Amboise, Azay-le-Rideau, Villandry, Langeais, and Loches are also worth exploring, as is the fabulous Beauval Zoo, located just 1.5 hours away.
