Sofia House Abertamy - Welcome at Hana's!

FINISHED! We have lovingly renovated the house and we look forward to our guests! :-)
Our house is located in the quiet town of Abertamy, Douha 202, 362 35, only 27 km from Karlovy Vary. Abertamy is ideal for winter and summer vacation. There are several ski areas nearby - Plešivec (Plessberg), Boží Dar (God's Gift), Klínovec (Keilberg), Oberwiesenthal, Pernink and others. Some ski areas offer children's ski school, children's ski lifts and "magic carpets". In the village of Abertamy you are right near the cross-country ski run "Skimagistrale Erzgebirge". Summer is fantastic for hiking and cycling, there are hundreds of forest trails and quiet village streets, and of course, wherever there are cross-country trails in winter, you cycle from spring to late autumn. My favorite season for cycling and hiking is August to October, the air smells of "Indian Summer", blueberries are everywhere and if you take a paper bag with you you can collect mushrooms and then prepare something good in our kitchen. Collecting mushrooms is a must in the Czech Republic :-)

At the end of 2017 we completely renovated our house, it is new and modern. The house is very bright and offers a breathtaking view over meadows and forests near Abertamy. The house can accommodate 2-12 people in 3 bedrooms with a total of 10 beds and 2 extra beds with new high quality mattresses and damask bedding. I can prepare a baby bed with a blanket, pillow and bed linen for you - all in white cotton.

In our house there are two toilets and a bathroom with a shower. The new towels and bath towels made of thick white cotton will be there for you.

We have a well functioning, ecological and quiet heating - thermal pump and a fireplace. A large basket of wood is prepared for the guests next to the fireplace.

Two cars can park right by our house and there are also parking spaces on the street. If there is too much snow in the streets in winter, park in the central, well-lit parking lot in the middle of the city. The house has a large garden with trees, terrace with garden furniture and grill and sandpit. For the summer we will build a garden shed for the children.

The range of sporting and cultural activities is really inexhaustible - skiing, cross-country skiing, snow kite, snow tubing, in summer then cycling, hiking, climbing on the rocks. You can take the historic train in Oberwiesenthal or visit the many lookout towers in the Ore Mountains. The golf courses in the area of Karlovy Vary can be reached in max. 30 minutes. I recommend visiting Karlovy Vary (20 minutes away), Františkovy Lázně, Marienbad, and the historic towns of Loket and Becov. The charming small town of Horní Blatná (Platten) is only a few kilometers away. My favorite restaurant, Faustuv Dvur, is located in Horni Blatna. In Jáchymov there is a small and pleasant Agricola water park.
I also recommend the restaurant and butcher shop in Abertamy, where you can have fresh, good and very cheap lunch - the beef and lamb comes from the local farm, as well as the milk and other products. If you order the food to take away, you hardly need to cook. But if you would like to prepare the dishes yourself, our kitchen offers everything you could need - for example for B. a cake :-)
