We had a wonderful stay here while supporting our son at Cooperstown Dreamspark. Beautiful views, birds and wildlife. It was a great escape from the baseball tournament.
This place is a great location for a Dreams Park tournament. The rental was very clean and super cozy. The hosts,Josh and Kate, are extremely friendly and accommodating. We loved the serenity of the property and the friendly horses! We bought eggs and steaks from the host and they did not disappoint!
We were expecting a log cabin and it was a trailer with a log exterior. The description stated it had a washer and dryer but when we arrived to check in, we were told it wasn't working. Since we traveled 3 days prior to our stay and packed accordingly, we needed to do laundry and had to go to a laundry mat (which was about 2 hours of our time plus the expense) and the laundry didn't get fixed until 4 days later. The next issue we had was on our first night we didn't get back until 1:30 am from our baseball tournament, and the following morning at 8 am the owners son knocked on our front door on 2 separate occasions and ran to hide under the deck. I did contact the owner to make her aware and it didn't happen again. We stayed a total of 7 nights and were only provided with 1 towel each, only had 1 roll of toilet paper, 1 garbage bag, which was not sufficient for a week's stay. The owner was very responsive to all of our requests but the overall stay wasn't the best experience. If you are looking for bare minimum accommodations, then this isn't a bad stay, but not what we were expecting.
There's a many reasons to visit Cooperstown NY and the number 1 answer is baseball, the homee of the game. In order to enjoy the experience you have to have a great place to lay your head, relax, enjoy scenery and eat well. Green acres, livestock and trails await your time away from the ballpark at your leisure.
