Cabin was nice and the location was great. The beds were absolutely uncomfortable. Slept on the futon because how uncomfortable the bed was. Grills could definitely use an update.
First time me and my husband had on one on one getaway since we had our daughters. Was so beautiful at the cabin and the trails we walked. Would love to make plans to come back
The cabins are nice and in great proximity to local hiking areas. There is even a walking path on the property that takes you to Lake Logan where kayaks can be used.
Location is great, close to all you need in Hocking hills. Also pet friendly which was very important to us. Cabin was new and clean. It was a great experience and we enjoyed our stay.
Hilltop Resort was an amazing place to stay for a little getaway near Hocking Hills. The staff at the store were super friendly and helpful. I also had a really great experience with other campers there being very nice and friendly. The amenities that came with staying there were awesome. It was nice being able to clean my dirty laundry before heading back home (there is a minor cost, however). Additionally, if kids are joining you on your stay at Hilltop Resort, there are plenty of things there to keep them occupied as far as the slide, jumping balloon, game room, and mini golf course goes. Additionally, the availability of firewood, ice, and kayaks was very helpful. The location of the resort was amazing for being able to get to the Hocking Hills attractions as well as hanging around Lake Logan. One reason why I rated the room as 4 stars is because I felt as though the kitchen lacked enough cooking supplies as someone who likes to cook rather than eating out. The other reason is because I felt unsafe using the oven since the smoke alarm went off twice while trying to bake something two separate times. I could feel the room get physically hotter when having the stove and oven on (even with the exhaust fan on), and it was a little nerve racking with being in a wooden cabin. However, those experiences did not define my stay and overall experience at the resort and in the area, I still had a great time, so I would definitely recommend staying here when looking for somewhere to
Cabin was wonderful and very clean. Unfortunately the mattress is stiff as a board and we could not sleep and have very painful backs and necks now.
The oven smoked and set off the alarm each time we used it too.
Otherwise I’d a 10! Loved it!!
Everything felt brand new and had the things we needed. The only thing that kept us from giving the highest rating was the sound of motors at various times during the night. We couldn't tell if it was pumps or vehicles on the road. But for an economical place to stay while enjoining the experiences in the Hocking Hills, It was perfect.
We rented this cabin for 4 adults and one baby to visit for a wedding at a local cave. When we first got there we were a bit confused that no one was at the registration booth(arrived around 6pm on a Thursday). We then realized the door code was in our email.
When we first walked in the cabin it had an amazing wood smell like it was a fairly new building. Everything was in excellent condition and nice and tidy. They had all the basic needs that a cabin should have (simple kitchen utensils, bedding, towels and rags). The only “complaint” we had was that there was some black dog hair on the floor still. The cabin didnt smell like dogs in anyway. While they were still doing some campground upgrading on the premises there are some sites with only enough parking for one car. We had two vehicles and a neighbor ended up double parking us so we were unable to get out for breakfast first thing in the morning. Overall we had a great time! The ladies working there were all very friendly and helpful! The premises was clean and quiet. They did have areas by the clubhouse for kids to play and burn some energy while also being close enough to the caves and town that it was very conveniently located for travelers!
Comfortable clean cabins, with frequent communication from the management. We had a very nice time. The only issue was they had repair folks out while we were there, who woke me up. The manager apologized and gave us some firewood to make up for it. Would definitely be happy to stay there again.
We enjoyed this stay. Very clean and good location to most of the sights. We appreciated the full kitchen too cool meals in as well. Conveniently located near a Walmart for shopping. Nice porch and outdoor grill & private firepit.
This cabin was the perfect little get-away! It was so clean and had everything needed for a few days away. The bed was very comfortable. I came in May (Wednesday - Saturday). The resort was very quiet and felt safe. The location was perfect for visiting Hocking Hills and all it has to offer. I would definitely recommend!
