Family Vacation

The location was amazing! The property is in need of a serious deep cleaning. Our family made the most of it and has a fantastic time at the beach and pool. We would not recommend this property to family and friends travelling to the area. The housekeeper was very very nice and helpful whenever we had interaction with her:-)

Family gathered from East Coast and West Coast North and South of the US Main Land

To stay as a group to attend a Beautiful wedding at the Royal Hawaiian Golf Course of our Son and his Bride! This house was large and spacious enough to accommodate us all!

Excellent relaxing vacation spot

We stayed at this Kailua beachfront house for 5nts from 5/29. It accommodated all 9 of us comfortably. Loved the kitchen with a stunning view. Enjoyed early morning walks on the beach that're just steps from the house. We had a great time there. Would come back again.

Big Family Paradise!

This was the perfect property for our huge family reunion to celebrate Thanksgiving and our parents' 50th wedding anniversary! The private pool and proximity to the beach are unbeatable. A few small utility issues came up and the prop mgr responded right away. The house hasn't been recently updated and many of the bedrooms connect with limited privacy, but if you don't require all the frills, this spot is a dream come true.

Fantastic location - seconds from Kailua Beach

Great location and our 3rd stay there since 1996. The home's inside and pool have been nicely modernized, only the outside needed re-painting. The site manager and owner were friendly and very responsive by phone, text or (good ole fashion) in person regarding questions or functionality of appliances. Our family members are still smiling over our reunion at this place.

Paradise!

We loved every minute of our stay. Florence, who was there to help with all the arrangements, was just the best! She handled every detail promptly and with such patience and caring. True aloha! Our family loved the property and the fact that the fabulous beach was literally on the other side of the fence! They loved seeing the sunrise over the ocean and even swimming with a turtle! Like many island homes, there's no AC, but the ocean breezes and sound of the waves, made the home very comfortable. So glad we picked this property for our family gathering!

Location location location !

Property manager is so great ! Our trip was postponed twice due to Covid and Shelly was very helpful when we had to change to the following year. The house is large and 13 of us never were in each others way. Kitchen and living room were great, as well as outdoor dining area. VERY family friendly. Plenty of towels, chairs, toys, bathroom and tutors, cleaning supplies. We were given the floor plan from the moment we booked, but didn’t notice that many of the bedrooms just had pocket doors separating one room to another. In our case it wasn’t that big of a deal but if it were a group of couples it could be a privacy issue. We did not use the pool because it was not heated and “too refreshing” for our group. This property is VERY tired and drastically needs refreshing BUT The proximity to the beach, the space of the house, and Shelly’s hospitality pretty much made our vacation with our group perfect.

Great place for alternating beach/pool activities right from your door

Communication with the property manager was outstanding... follow up from them was equally outstanding. Every little issue or question was quickly attended to. The property/house has an interesting history (Elvis stayed here/owned this during his Hawaii filming years) and the unique design of this house makes sense if you know that history. For various technical reasons, the house cannot support air conditioning, and being right on the beach, many of the windows must remain shut, so air circulation is an issue without fans. There is only 1 ceiling fan in the main room downstairs. The other rooms all have portable room fans. As the beach faces East, the bedrooms facing the beach can get very warm very quickly in the morning. We use multiple fans per room to circulate air and suck in cooler air from outside. The kitchen is well stocked with all kinds of appliances. There is a nice enclosed outdoor bar/kitchen with a large grill and sink and serving area, which makes cooking and dining outside very easy. We have stayed here multiple times for family reunions. (I grew up in this area and know it well.) The house is huge and supports a lot of people, but is impractical (expense-wise) for just a couple of people (unless you are like Elvis!) We'll stay here again. The owners are wonderfully responsive and take great pains to make sure if there is any problem it's taken care of immediately.

Super convenient for a family of 10, many bedroom and bathroom configurations. right on the beach, kitchen super fully stocked, close to all our needs and yet isolated enough to feel like we were on private beach. Great beach, great sand. Florence was super accommodating in all things.

Hawaiian staycation

Family from outer Island as well as the mainland stayed here during our son's graduation. We went night fishing, swam in the pool every day. Pure fun with family! The only downside during stay was young teens had a bonfire and partying on the beach one night but normal during graduation week. Other than that, property and property manager Florence was awesome!

The house is exactly as described. You are paying for the location, pool and size of the house. It fit my family of 8 adults an 2 kids well. Lots of toys . The beach is beautiful with great waves for boogie boarding! The sunrise is beautiful!!.

Beach Front Fun!

We had a fantastic day. The location is amazing with easy beach access. The kitchen had every appliance we could think of for our use with an extra fridge for beverages. We have grown children, but would have been great when the kids were small with lots of sleeping areas . Such a fun week!

Family trip

At this property your paying for location. The house is large with a well appointed kitchen. Keep in mind no air-conditioning. They provide plenty of towels and beach chairs and equiptment. The host Florece was very responsive when issues arised.

Beautiful location

The house is older and it shows however it is clean and extremely spacious. There is no AC but once the sun sets the ocean breeze keeps the house cool. The beach is amazing and great for boogie boarding and the pool is great for those that just want to relax. They don’t list these things but they do have boogie boards, floats, hair dryer, additional ice maker, beach chairs so it is well stocked with the small things. We had a wonderful trip!
