Such a great comfy clean house right on the canal! We had our bikes and were out everyday! Wonderful gas grill to cook our fish and chicken on the patio as we watched boats and kayakers go by! Tim was so helpful and made sure we had everything we need! Can’t wait to stay there again!!

Nice area. Dirty house.
I was not going to leave a review until a mouse went running across the kitchen counter. Before that happened I was going to just let it go, considering I really don’t write reviews for anything. Upon walking in, the house appears very tidy. In fact, when we walked in, I made a comment as to how nice the place was. Unfortunately within the first few minutes our dog walked up to us with an ant trap in his mouth.
There were dead bugs everywhere. I took several photos of them. They were in the living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom. There were also bugs that were very much alive and I woke up the first morning with a spider bite. The bathtub drain was clogged, and the window shades were completely broken. There was also heavy dust in the floor vents.
Again, I am not want to write reviews, but I am hoping that this review, at least helps to ensure that the property is cleaner for the next person who rents it. We did rent the property last minute however, it was available for rent so I still don’t think that’s an excuse for it being unkept. Also, when you go to a property, you expect certain things like refreshed coffee pods since all that was left was decaf and hot cocoa. There was also open food in the fridge and freezer and a note that was left from the previous tenant. My only recommendation would be a better cleaning staff. The location is great! There is a restaurant that is a short walk over the bridge which we very much enjoyed and a Park close by. There’s a grocery store five minutes away and it’s very close to Becker Farms. It’s great that it was right on the canal as well.
We came for the weekend and enjoyed fishing in the canal, apple picking and wine tasting nearby. Everything about the property was perfect. And watching the boats and the drawbridge outside was fun and different too.
A nice home in a very quiet area. Perfect location right on the canal with a nice little village right across the bridge. Great location in proximity to Niagara Falls, Batavia, and lots in between. Host was quick to respond to our questions. We really enjoyed our stay.
Great location for visiting family. Open floor plan perfect for our large family stay. Host was responsive and house was very clean. Kitchen is well stocked.
The was very clean and easy to maneuver. The owner was extremely helpful and kind throughout the process. The location of this house is ideal. It is right on the canal, walking distance to a nice small town, and a quick ride into bigger towns when needed. I highly recommend this house!
We were in the area visiting relatives and needed a pet-friendly place on short notice. This lovely cottage on the Erie Canal fit the bill. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. It was nice to be next to the canal and be able to walk along the canal row path.
