About this property
SimplyStayFrame - AFrame Cabin Kachina Village
This AFrame cabin in Kachina Village was recently renovated inside and out. We've tried to create a quality stay, that feels comfortable and familiar. During the process we had four words represent our design mantra - "cozy, modern, vintage, grandma." We hope you feel a bit of each during your time, but most importantly we hope you feel rested and rejuvenated after you "simplystay". Follow us @ simplystayframe
THE SPACE
Completely renovated and reconstructed interior and deck. Designed to make the small spaces feel big. Styled with a mix of textures, colors, patterns and finishes to compliment and accentuate.
SimplyStayFrame is located in Kachina Village - the perfect location to explore all that Northern AZ has to offer. Less than 20 minutes south of downtown, historic Flagstaff - with breweries, bars, and a number of delicious dining options. Just 45 minutes from Arizona Snowbowl Ski Resort. Hiking and biking in the summers - snowboarding and skiing in the winter - and scenic Gondola rides all year round. Only 45 minutes north of Sedona, drive the beautiful 89A freeway and swim in Oak Creek Canyon. Get up early and make a day of easy access to the Grand Canyon's South Rim (1.5 hrs) or Lake Powell (2.5 hrs).
Multiple hiking trails within walking distance. Dollar General and Shell Gas Station (with Subway) easily accessible. Drive over to Mountainaire (5 minutes) for additional hiking, local tavern and country store.
Main Level: Up the exterior stairs to the large deck, with full dining table. In to the main level, you'll find the shared living space. The classic "A" architecture highlighted by cedar ceilings. Featured items include sofa with bumper and pull out sleeper, original wood burning oven and a 50" LG SmartTV. New kitchen opens up to living room to keep family and friends connected. Comfortable dining for six with custom upholstery and laundry room as you head back toward the bathroom. Bathroom features marble vanity and soaking tub. Up the spiral staircase and to the loft with a queen-sized, Tuft & Needle mattress.
Downstairs: A second bedroom with a queen-sized T&N bed. Full bathroom with walk-in shower, small closet and additional coffee pot allow guests a comfortable stay. Downstairs bedroom is accessible via a private entrance. Must use deck stairs (outside) to go up/down from main level.
GUEST ACCESS
Private entrance all accessible via keypad entry. Shared "driveway" with neighbor, please stay to the right.
There is currently two parking spaces available if you pull up far enough. Parking is on a bit of a slope. We do recommend using your parking brake and encourage using an AWD vehicle, if possible. The walk from your vehicle to front patio/deck can be icy during winter, please take your time and walk carefully.
In summer, more spaces will be more available for guests access, as snow melts off and we continue work to improve accessibility. Other things to note This property does not have an air conditioner, but does have central heat (furnace). There is a ceiling fan and multiple windows that open. Temps tend to stay a touch cooler compared to the city, as we are located in a small canyon.
The stairs up to the loft are narrow and steep. Each step has grip tape for your safety, please take your time and watch your step.
There is no smoking inside the cabin.
While we have no pet policy for our guests, we are dog owners ourselves. The space is professionally cleaned after we visit and we take great care to reduce any sign of their stay.
While you may get lucky and find some firewood left behind from a guest's stay, we do recommend grabbing firewood and starters from a local gas station or grocer. The smaller the logs, the better!

Very clean and cozy cabin. Quiet neighborhood and not too far from the city. We spent our honeymoon here and it was perfect. Would definitely stay again in the future.

Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Disliked: Location
“A” Frame with mediocre rating
Upon arriving, the floors were dirty. I found the vacuum at the house and discovered that the vacuum wouldn’t work because it was tangled with hair and debris. The house was very hot inside as there is no central air-so uncomfortable that we stayed only one night. No one slept well. Cute house but needs some love in the cleanliness department.
