We had a nice stay in a pretty, vintage house. Our unit was decorated nicely and it was clean. We walked about 7 minutes through a nice neighborhood to dinner downtown.
Thoughtful touches made a big impression. Clear instructions on access and amenities were helpful after a long day driving. So nice to walk in to clean comfortable and harmonious decor. And. Fresh baked bread. Kitchen was well equipped with microwavable mugs cups bowls and plates. Ahhh!! Refrigerator and stove were spotless. Everything said "welcome! We thought of your comfort!" Bed was a little hard for my comfort but it was so nice to awaken to trees waving in the breeze and an easy brew of coffee. We will be back
Stopped in Baker City on a road trip, but was not expecting to fall in love with such a beautiful property. Palmer house is a historic building with multiple studio apartments. It is beautifully updated, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. Be prepared for the quaint, historic charm - including the quaint, historic size. Bathrooms and kitchens are original to the house and smaller than modern units, but somehow absolutely perfect. All apartments are on the second floor and guests may need to be prepared for the steep historic staircase required for access. We also recommend Paizanos Pizza (yum!) and Albertson’s for groceries.

Our visit was really nice. The apartment we had was very cool. Lots of historic detail and everything modern we needed. I highly recommend this sweet old place
The Palmer house is a great spot! Super comfy and clean. It's in a perfect location - just on the edge of downtown. And the host is always very responsive and helpful. We will continue to stay...every time we get to Baker!
The Palmer House is well situated close to downtown in Baker City. It's host is very thoughtful (even gave us homemade bread upon arrival) about providing a comfortable, cozy environment. The kitchen is well stocked and there is a lot of attention to details such as colorful tile work, clean paint, artwork, and a wonderful backyard to enjoy when the weather is good. We would definitely stay here again!
Nice quiet neighborhood, walking distance to bars and activities, nice fireplace out back, beautiful little getaway with homemade bread! 10/10 would return.
The apartment was just what we needed for our overnight stay in Baker City. Everything was clean and we appreciated the vintage features. The fresh bread is a unique and nice touch!
This is a return visit to this property. It’s really clean and welcoming. The dogs love the fenced backyard. We weren’t sure we were going to be able to stay on our way back through Oregon but Blake went out of his way to help us out. We will definitely be back.
As cute and cozy as it looks in all the pictures! A minor issue was immediately resolved by the owner/host, friendly and easy communication. We walked everywhere in Baker City (except the ski area!) we went from the apartment. Would absolutely recommend and stay again.
Our summer Eastern Oregon road trip was anchored by a few days in Baker City. An the anchor to that stay was as our VRBO apartment. From the fresh bread waiting for us upon arrival to the backyard swings around the firepit we’re we enjoyed our breakfasts, it was all great fun. Thanks!
Palmer House is located within blocks of Main Street in Baker City. We were able to walk to most of our planned locations easily, as well as to downtown restaurants. The studio apt was colorful, cute and comfortable. It was small, but worked well for just the 2 of us. We would choose to stay again!
We only stayed 1 night. It was nice I was allowed to have my dog there as he goes everywhere with me. It was very warm in the room and took awhile for the portable ac unit to cool off the inside. It would be nice to have a couch to relax on Sitting on the bed is not as coftable.
