About this property

360-Degree View Home in Red Rocks, Kayenta, Zion

30-day minimum. Please do not book with less than a 30-day stay. Sorry, no exceptions, due to our HOA.

Newly renovated, newly furnished home in the coveted Kayenta community. The house sits on a huge 3.5 acres site! Near Zion and Snow Canyon. But you don’t really need to go anywhere as it feels like we live in a National Park! It's magical walking at night, no lights but the moon and stars above.

This is not a typical vacation rental - it is furnished as our own home. New mattresses, high end bedding, gourmet kitchen, exercise equipment, original art.

This is ideal for a couple who may have visitors. There are three bedrooms: a master, an office, and a gym.

The master bedroom has a King bed, updated walk-in shower, bidet, granite counter tops, and walk-in closet.

The gym room has a new King Murphy bed, along with our exercise equipment.

The third bedroom is our office, with an adjustable-height desk (stand or sit), a gorgeous, expansive view, soft rug, and fast internet. Plenty of office supplies, including a color printer. We have an air mattress that could be used in the office when you have extra guests.

The kitchen is a major hang out area, with a HUGE beautiful granite island, next to a dining table and living room. But you might want to eat outside under the back patio or have drinks out on the front patio. It's a very well stocked kitchen.

We have a TV in the living room with lots of streaming options, but you may find you aren't using it much. Night time walks are magical in Kayenta. There are restrictions on outdoor lighting, which means you will probably see more stars in the night sky than you have ever seen, including shooting stars.

You are in the desert and will become keenly aware of the weather...not just the temperature, but the wind, the lightning and thunder, the sunsets and sunrises.

Neighborhood description
Kayenta is nestled into the red rocks. The stillness of the rocks is palpable. Some say our red rocks are a vortex. Whatever your beliefs, you'll notice the peace and tranquility here.

The most popular activity in Kayenta is walking...walking the streets, with or without dogs. You feel like you are in a National Park. It's also nice to bike through the community.

In Kayenta's Art Village you'll find a performing Arts Center, art galleries, and one of the best restaurants/cafes in the area. Not far from the village, we have a labyrinth, pickle ball courts, tennis courts, and a community pool.

Check out the Kayenta documentary online. This app won't let us put in the url, but it's easily found by searching on "Kayenta documentary." You'll learn some history about Kayenta, experiencing its visionary and beloved developer, and get a feel for the place.

The Kayenta HOA has some strict rules about rentals (must be 30 days or more), blinds need to be down at night, and all cars must be parked in the garage, not the driveway. In other words, no cars in the driveway. We have a three-car garage and the maximum height is 82". All these rules are needed to keep Kayenta a special and beautiful community.

We are engaged hosts and want to make sure you have a fabulous time in our home.

Minimum stay is 30 days, as required by HOA.

Spectacular setting!
We could not have had a better experience at Mark and Shelley's home in the beautiful neighborhood of Kayenta. There are awe inspiring views from every window throughout this home and the outdoor space that surrounds it. The house was super clean and well stocked. There was absolutely nothing that we needed in the high-end kitchen, There was nothing that we needed period. A huge plus was a hiking path close-by that was extremely convenient for morning walks with our dog. The neighbors are super friendly as are Mark and Shelley who are committed to your having a great stay. This is not your typical 5 star VRBO as it was a 10 star+ experience. Thank you for such a great stay at your home, we look forward to our next visit!!

Desert Retreat
This home in Kayenta is situated in the center of a lovely desert community. From the first day we were awed by the spectacular view of the Red Cliffs that seemed to go on forever. The we watched the colorful sunrises and sunsets on the front and back patios. The home is immaculate, and very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances, including every kitchen gadget you might ever need. Any questions we had, were very quickly answered by Mark and Shelley. Being centrally located, we were able to take advantage of many activities, in Snow Canyon, Kayenta Arts Center, The Anasazi Trail, Iven's Reservoir, and the city of St. George. We feel lucky we were able to spend so much time here to enjoy the desert life!

Our wonderful stay at Kayenta
This newly renovated home is in a truly unique location, with astonishing views of the Red Cliffs to the north and beautiful vistas in all directions. With its peaceful surroundings - clear nights and quiet days, you also have access to St. George’s best hiking trails. Mark and Shelley were the consummate hosts, easy to communicate with, and were responsive and friendly from start to finish. The home is extremely well stocked, very clean, has a lot of personal touches and all the amenities you could ask for. Attention to detail has obviously been taken in this property. This was an exceptional experience for us, and we would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to see the St. George area at its best.

About the host

Host profile image
Mark and Shelley fell in love with Kayenta during COVID time...searched until we found the right home for us. The house was designed by the founder of Kayenta, and he named it the 360 house - because we have 360 views. We updated it in 2022 - new kitchen and bathrooms, and new furnishings. We also live in the San Francisco Bay Area and make our homes available when we are not in them!
